It's nice to list the whole tab as a single price and only having to manually price a few things that don't fall into the bounds of one of your tabs. Having four smaller tabs is nicer for that than a single quad. Quad is nice for dumping, but you can still dump to smaller tabs while having better pricing flexibility.
A lot of people buy the supporter packs because it gives the same value in points. So that 60$ pack might be enough for 2 additional sets or all tabs you need + another set.
Something that I have not seen mentioned in all these recommendations, and that I believe is a noticeable boost in your economy, is the following: Buy 2 or more premium stash, with the 300 points you get from the EA pack and use it like this 1st tab use it as dump tab, here you drop EVERYTHING you get and use the option to price all the item at the same price (if you get spam for 1 item, you need to check the price haha) 2nd tab use it to sell item you know the price you will get a lot of currency early game
As a note, instead of getting the physical items, they can be traded for more points if the person is not interested in them. The selection is made when buying the packs. You can also upgrade the packages. So someone can start with the $30 to gain access to EA and try it out. You can upgrade the packages by paying the difference if you decide that you like the game and want to do that. The support packages are supposed to be sold all during EA, which is estimated to be 6-12 months.

Chaos orbs (the main currency) used to just stack to 10. They've now changed that to 20. But if they weren't trying to nudge people to buy tabs they'd let them stack to 100 or 1000 or whatever. No, of course not. The only thing that you could possibly buy every league is a league-specific stash tab but in 99.99% of cases is not needed. The tabs he mentioned are just the best QoL and are most needed if you have points already if you bought a supporter pack for EA. The tabs you bought are forever.
@@tomtomkowski7653 I would also like to note that league specific tabs have never been to my knowledge been released DURING the league. Only after a league has gone core.
you absolutely dont need to buy stash tabs to win at the game. it might make things more organized but you dont need to buy anything to be OP in the game.
Waystones are not stackable. The number you see on them is their tier. They cannot stack because each one can have different mods. Divination cards are confirmed to be in the game by the "valdo's puzzle box" that streamers opened with the reward of creating an div card
That monetization model is abusive and greedy. Pay for necessities should be a no go. Even a full prize launch would be better for the customer on the longterm.
These $ tabs is just obvious manipulation. They made game "free" in future for players, but u "need" to buy tabs to play comfortably and "support" devs, lol. Its even worse than "honest" lootbox or something similar.
It’s not necessary, but it makes it a lot easier and more straightforward. If you just wanna do some trading as an average player, you may not even need one. If you do get some though, wait for a sale, and then you can likely get everything you’d realistically “need” for like $10. Or, just buy into the PoE2 early access at minimum buy-in, and the included 300 points will more than cover the tabs
Ok thanks for answering. I have gone for the £80 pack as I know I will want to buy cosmetics later and I think it’s actually pretty fair deal with the points, as well as supporting the game. So it’s no problem to buy the necessary tabs. Just seems bad to me that I need to buy something that is basically a requirement. New to POE so not sure how things work. The stash is one thing that confuses me. I think I need to see it in order to understand it. Game looks amazing though. Very excited to get my hands on it!
@@lewisnash2155 They let people play their ~$30-60 game for free, in hopes that most will stay around long enough to want to buy the $30-60 in tabs. Items drop pretty exponentially as you progress... you don't even "need" extra tabs in PoE1 until you finish the full campaign and start doing end game. So you have to be pretty invested into the game to start feeling like you want the extra help with space and sorting unless you're picking up way too much trash. (In PoE1 at least, they give you 24 character slots so you actually have like 20 more tabs worth of space across all your characters if you use them as mules) If for whatever reason people can't pay that much, they can still get a lot of functionality with just $10 in the two most important tabs. And while it's a bit more of a bother to play it 100% free and everyone who's paid in $10-30 will waste less time sorting... the full game is still there for people who can't pay anything at all, which can't be said of the competition. They know a lot of PoE players are very serious gamers who want to keep things a level playing field. But people are basically fine with it being a ~$30-60 buy in to that level playing field since that's still the cost of a game. So I kinda say, ignore them advertising "free" and think of it as a pay what you want but it helps to pay $30-60 sort of game. "Free" was a key pillar in their early development process- but that was back in 2006 when free games on this level weren't really a thing in the West. They hold onto it because it was a core principle, but it might not be 100% true per se.
Stashes are necessary in this game. Dont listem people who tell you - 1 stash will be fine. If you want to play this game in regular basis, prepare to spend minimum additional 30-40 GBP just to play game normally. Its not pay2win, but playing this game on longer run is not possible without purchased space. Trading ( so hoarding gear / sorting ) will be a pain without paid stash or almost impossible due to farming items. Thats why everyone streamer is using them, writing you can play without stashes is straight lie.

Don't buy any tab until after Early access your favorite community member publish a buying guide/priority list for tabs. All the info in this video is basically useless for poe2(that's why Wudijo used conservative words such as "probably").Especially the map and the divination tabs are the top recommended and absolutely a gigantic waste of money to buy before we see how those item work in poe2.The only advisable one is currency and 1 premium tabs ( but there are multiple routes to get premium tabs, so wait for your decision anyway). 3. 0 stash tabs needed for campaign. With a loot filter and the new currency stock market it's gonna take several hours before stash tabs are needed in the endgame as well. Unless you are pulling a 24h play session and speedrunning the new campaign you can wait for written and video guides. 4. 30 to 60$ is what most players will feel it's enough to play.

Great advice for PoE2. I’m still trying to learn PoE1 (started PoE1 after PoE2 latest trailer. Better than farming D4 Uber bosses.) So you have to buy tabs and currency every league start ?
No, of course not. The only thing that you could possibly buy every league is a league-specific stash tab but in 99.99% of cases is not needed.
The tabs he mentioned are just the best QoL and are most needed if you have points already if you bought a supporter pack for EA. The tabs you bought are forever.
No, its for ever. And if u have bought in poe1 it will transfer over to poe2
no, the stash tabs persists per league.
@@tomtomkowski7653 I would also like to note that league specific tabs have never been to my knowledge been released DURING the league. Only after a league has gone core.
If they do that I quit years ago 😂, every sale I tend to buy like 1-2 quad tabs so now I have a ton of them 😎
you absolutely dont need to buy stash tabs to win at the game. it might make things more organized but you dont need to buy anything to be OP in the game.
I highly recommend buying every stash tab available, and 2 quad tabs.
Wise words
buying currency tab even if its not on sale.
These $ tabs is just obvious manipulation. They made game "free" in future for players, but u "need" to buy tabs to play comfortably and "support" devs, lol. Its even worse than "honest" lootbox or something similar.
so anything I bought doesn't transfer to PoE 2? Holy scammed
It all transfers
holy misinformation
So is it pay to win?
I have to buy a premium stash tab in order to trade? Which I will do.. but have heard it’s not P2W multiple times..
(In PoE1 at least, they give you 24 character slots so you actually have like 20 more tabs worth of space across all your characters if you use them as mules)
If for whatever reason people can't pay that much, they can still get a lot of functionality with just $10 in the two most important tabs.
@@lewisnash2155 and be prepared to spend around 100-200 GBP to get full armour set if you are interested into cosmetics.
But game its free, so its supporting DEVS and small company from China called Tencent, not like a diablo scam.
Half a year =)
For me the order is: Currency tab / Premium tab (if on trade league) / Map tab (on Poe1, dont think so on poe2) / Divcard tab / Frag tab (maybe not on poe 2 if there is no scarabs) / Essence tab
Garf
I was really hoping poe2 would adopt the LE style of stash tabs and leave the shop for cosmetics. Oh well I guess.
Sounds like if you want to experience the game completely or as intended. You need to invest some cash or you miss out on a lot of things or be inconvenienced
Yes, maybe not so much in the beginning but a year or two down the line it will matter to some degree.
I would say poe is more like free to try for 50-100h then spend 30-60$ on stash tabs when they are discounted 20% every 3 weeks or so
1. always try to buy all your tabs on the sale that happens every 3 weekends. Unless you don't care about money i guess.
PoE fanboys: "We hate microtransactions!"
Also PoE fanboys: "Paying $10 for stash tabs is supporting muh game!"
True we hate mtx.
I have 27 tabs in total and before I bought the EA pack , 2018 was the last time I had spend any money in Poe , since then I played about 3000h
Poe zealots logic. Not even mentioning they are going to pay 30 bucks just to betatest the game for ggg. Imagine blizzard selling stash tabs the river of s*it they would throw like monkeys
@@simonevalia1505 at least they're upfront about early access and other stuff
Can you also make a 13 minutes long stash tab guide for D4? ( •◡-)
Recommend people go to an actual Poe content creator for information like this like Zizaran.
who have ask ?
@ who have ask? You can’t speak English, huh? lol.
The info here is solid. Not sure why it matters who gave it. Wudi is likely to become an “actual” PoE content creator. Gotta start somewhere.
@@EldenLord84 yeah he’s had like 10 years to start. Which he’s barely done anything with. Much better to go to an expert.
@@jackreacher4547 Lots of people are going to start streaming PoE 2 that didn’t do much with PoE 1. So long as the information they’re putting out is accurate and their content is good, I cannot imagine how that could be viewed as a negative for GGG or the community.
The WASD movement focus was a deal breaker for me. I'm upset I can't get into this game anymore. I'll try click-to-move once it's free, but it will feel bad if I'm always behind the more supported control style.
Actually moving in an ARPG is just better. Objectively.
Get left behind.
@Knights_of_the_Nine oh, i totally agree. I just hate the control style. I want to use my mouse, not wasd. Wasd is way less accurate or responsive, but allows for mouse aiming, which gains those benefits. Its a trade off i just dont like.
Just don’t use it if you don’t like it?
@mduckernz the game is being designed around it. It's clearly a meaningful handicap to not do WASD
Someone didn't watch the Q and A after the reveal dude... Mark literally said that almost the entire dev team play the game with click to move and have prioritized it being great 😂
Pay to win
you aren't the brightest huh?
Worse yet, FORCED P2W.
@virdixxii8341 ur dumb huh
kiddos these days have completely changed the meaning of pay to win huh
Super duper p2w , Diablo Immortal is the most fair game ever.
I have 27 tabs in total and before I bought the EA pack , 2018 was the last time I had spend any money in Poe , since then I played about 3000h
Stash tabs money grab is such a dumb and outdated thing…they gonna loose so many players keeping this.
If you play this free game to the point you run out of room in your free stash tabs, you're likely going to happily give them some money for more stash tabs, and probably buy a supporter pack or two because you think they deserve it for the awesome game they have given us for free. I have spent almost 300$ on this free game because it's such a great game. I have never spent that much in my 25 years of gaming on a single game. Once ps5 supporter packs drop im likely going to buy the most expensive one available because the game devs are so awesome and im so happy for a new path of exile game. I took 6 days off work so I could play for 10 days straight off launch.
good luck keeping the game afloat with just cosmetics
Stop milking poe2 which hasnt even released yet. whats next? how to make a char in poe2? ffs.
Poe 1 is dead bro...
This happens with every upcoming release, stop whining and don't watch it.
Yah, don't watch.. seems like a valid video to me. He has streams where people ask him stuff. This was obviously asked a lot.
Telling people that they should get certain tabs over cosmestics for the new people is not that bad..
Shut up
Boycott GGG, never buy anything, abusive company.

Great advice for PoE2.
I’m still trying to learn PoE1 (started PoE1 after PoE2 latest trailer. Better than farming D4 Uber bosses.)
I have huge headache cuz I still can’t “buy” the free PoE1 from PS Store in my region. I used my PSN(USA) account (w/o PS+ subscription) to download PoE1, then I can play PoE1. I’m in Act 6 now, my stashes are always full. The easy way out is to buy stash tab. This convenience is a must have for sure if it’s available.
Hope GGG can provide PoE1 access in Asia (HK) region. I have a feeling that I may play PoE1 & PoE2 alternatively, these two games may be my favourite Worthy Sequels of D2 in the coming years.
Of cuz, I’ll very happy if there is Worthy Sequel of Exile-Like ARPG.
