Warren did a great job with this mod. It is in alpha so it isn't perfect but it can get you most of the way. Warren is currently working on the next Game of the year: LlamaRPG so the mod won't be receiving many changes until that is done but i think even in its current state it is amazing. Issues: Torch only rolls assassin Can't make an item ethereal Feel free to leave other issues in comments.
an issue i already know of: summon (druid) skiller recipe wont work, i can see its broken in the text file, probably happened from me spamming undo and undid too much
Have you considered applying the changes to ethereal items too, and maybe adding a "recipe" to make an item become ethereal? Because I tried modifying an ethereal item that dropped and it didn't work the same. Other than that, amazing mod!!

Well done Warren, and thanks for showcasing it llama. I was getting tired of bouncing back and forth in my "Saved Games" folder with the old Editor whenever i wanted to test something, so this couldn't have come at a better time.
A quick PSA, as someone who mods, you shouldn't diminish Llama's input into getting this as a smooth, functional mod. There is a lot of practical and specific knowledge along with planning that I'm sure went well beyond the mechanical ability make the character editor with cube recipes, etc.
Thanks for this. Playing D2 for over 20 years and now into D2R. Went through 3 desktops and a couple of laptops in all those years and never tire of this game.
I broke down after my SSF Grifs dropped Eth. My rule was to never create any items, everything had to drop naturally but I could fix the stats on a bad roll. Still looking for some grailers so I think its a good compromise.
@Bob Newkirk im doing ssf grail offline now too.. im on switch and cant hero edit, but i can dupe on the switch , so duping helped me with runes charms and organs ,but i still have to legit find all my set/uniques, duping cant help me with that! I already had all the important runewords,legit, before i started to dupe,( cta enigma grief infinty flicky flame and fortitude). So i dont feel too guilty about it
Can we get 1) a way to decrease the base item from Elite down 2) an easy way to buy class specific items 3) way to convert to ethereal. This is awesome thank you!
A nice feature for the future, of course LlamaRPG take priority, but I think once you roll a charm with the preferred affixes you should have a recipe to duplicate that charm (or any item)
The Draw back MrlamaSC is playing on PS,Xbox,switch. Consoles are not able to do this. This is one thing no one never mentions is the big difference between playing on computer vs console.

Quick tip: if you are looking for multiple of a specific magic small charm. I found you can tele in and out of town until Akara has it then buy them all up. Hope this makes sense!
@@jwcarlson yes would be nice. but as said plugy isn't needed. everything it did for classic was basically implemented in d2r except for virtually unlimited storage. so if this mod was made i wouldn't call it plugy anymore then but an "unlimited stash mod" or something like that lol.
I thought I would not like this, however it's very enjoyable (I do not use the full power of the mod). I've never got a character beyond level 85 because I lose interest. This mod is great because it has helped level up my natural 85 characters with the gear and runes that I've found. So in some ways it's still natural but whatever I'm having fun and that's all that matters.
VERY neat mod, Llama and Warren! Man, now this has me dreaming of/salivating for an in-game *Item* editor so we could just make our own original unique items, kind a la Jamella's Editor from way back when, but in-game. That would be truly fun, to make up new uniques and runewords and be able to test them in-game, in real-time without needing to go through all of the code and text editing in the spreadsheets. But, regardless of if that ever happens, this is still such an awesome mod, Warren, great job!
Anyone run into issues rolling yellows and simply not getting all the available affixes? I’ve tried for a few hours…For example, when i roll yellow gloves, I’ve never seen +2 to bowazon or jav skills, only 20ias. For tiaras/diadems i can never roll 2/20 with frw. Anyone else experience this??
Either the download is busted or im an idiot and dont know how to do anything i have been trying to do this for over an hour and cant seem to get any of it to work. nothing is showing up in akara ive done everything llama said in the video and nothing is happening
Make sure that you RAR extract into the Mods folder (create the new folder if it isn't already there), then: 1) include spaces after each part of the command line (-mod(space)ighe(space) etc); 2) click "DONE", 3) Launch the game; 4) create a NEW OFFLINE character only after you see that Akara has the mods inventory
Nice work guys! after using it for an hour or so id say 1 upgrade that would be nice is a 'duplicate item' recipe. kinda niche but when trying to roll 37x 451's or 3/20/20s it takes forever. possible fix would be to have it roll through the list of mods with each transmute click. either way great job!

i miss hero editor, before internet was big i did pretty good bringing burnt cd's with hero editor on it to school. 10 year old me felt like a pro hacker
Great mod! reminds me of the D2 OG mod Perfect drop mod with the cube recipes. Most everything works great! my cube isn't converting items into blue/yellow or unique currently but I'll keep fiddling with it!

Just a heads up. If you're playing online while mod is still in your game folders. When you play online some base items have their sockets changed. I had multiple base weapons with 5-6 sockets and it changed to 3 and 4. The sockets changed back after deleting the mod. Definitely made trading very confusing yesterday. Also Dusk Shroud game icon looks different.

It’s not working. Put it in the folder but I had to create my own “mods” folder. Didn’t come with one. Everything else was done per video but when I enter offline play I have nothing new at Akara. What am I missing?

mind sharing? the only two online hero editors can only do quests/waypoints/levels in a couple minutes, and take ages to make items, which is the reasoning for making the mod
Game changing experience. I was slowly gold finding with a concentrate barbarian. It was the only character that would survive. Now I have all the characters I want and I am experimenting with really, really dumb stuff lol

I was wondering this aswell. I used it online and it still uses the loot filter, although all the items show itemlevel 1. Keys and uber items also greyed out in online which lags the game.
Open mod folder > ighe > ighe.mpq > data > global > excel > uniqueitems . scroll to the bottom to hellfire torch scroll right to "randclassskill" set the numbers after it to 0 and 6 ( If anyone still needs this after 2 months. )
@@ineedcoffee2575 it definitely has pros. ive been using zonfires all this time and you will not believe how much effort it takes to make a single unique item. of course, if you download every item pack known to man you can cover most of them with item loading templates, but thats still more effort than just making them ingame. this mod isnt designed to entirely replace external programs. use externals for very specific stuff/levels/quests/waypoints and this mod for things like runewords/sets/uniques etc

great video. what would be the best way to find shrunken heads to test some of the unique ones like boneflame? only reason i ask is cause never seen one in a gamble before.
alright so i played around with it for a while now. i understand it's pretty much a rushed alpha thing atm but some things are kinda dumb. first of all a .txt or something with the recipes and what does what would have been really dope. even tho it rolls max rolls all the time getting the desired affixes on jewels or charms is kinda tedious atm. for gcs it works great to get your skillers but if you want 10/76/45ers or certain scs and jewels it's another story. you're sitting there rerolling them for hours until you get something like a 40/15. there should be a way to duplicate them and also a way to influence the outcome. like for example lock a certain affix that is desired. for example we could reroll a jool until we roll 15 ias, then add another item to the cube that tells it to keep that affix and then reroll again until it has the 2nd add like 40 ed or 15 allres or whatever. would cut down time by a lot. and ofc as said before by others there needs to be a way to make items ethereal. having certain items or bases ethereal is kinda essential for certain builds. also the torches are as pointed out in the video always assassin so that should be fixed. an idea to get desired affixes would be to use the gems like they are used for sockets. for example i have a rare item like a ring. i roll it till i get 10fcr. i add a thawing potion or whatever that isn't yet used. then i add an amethyst that tells it to keep the first row of text like in this case 10 fcr. then i roll until i have a second affix in the second row that i like and replace the amethyst with a topaz. this keeps the first two rows and i roll again and so on. this could also be universally used for all magic and rare items to get what you need. i know it's some work to get there but the point of it is theory crafting and testing builds. for that purpose it should be quick to get the items you need and not a tedious rerolling grind lol. crafting was also not really considered. while it is possible to easily get the materials there is no way to reroll the crafts until you get something useful so you still have to go through the tedious process of crafting a bazillion of them till you get your 2/20/something good here. other than that thx for the work and good job warren! :) will be looking forward to future updates of this tool :) edit: i just tested ubers which wasn't that hard with the cheat charm but the torches there are also 100% assassin 20/20s.

Thats aamzing!, now a few questions, can we modify D2R spawn rates and mobs and edit monster classes and loot tables yet?(was a mod call D2excel back in the day and I had a TON of fun playing around with it players 8 was a BAD idea lol), as well what do the numbers mean next to the name of the item?, is it the location within the loot table or it's base class item number?
I extracted the file and now, for some reason, my car in now under Llamas name, as well as the title to my house. My life savings is completely gone and even Mr. grumpy, where I keep a few hundred dollars, is empty. My MTG collection is gone and the WORST part is that THE BURRITO I WAS EATING JUST NOW IS GONE!
Bug (maybe?): rerolling rings (magic or rare) does not appear to allow the 'apprentice' suffix to be rolled. This is anecdotal in nature, but I've spent about an hour rerolling rings and haven't seen a single 10% FCR attribute.

i'm more interested in rare items. is there a better way to control them? eg always guarantee 6 mods, and affixes depend on ilvl or something like that?
Hey man, Having a problem with lots of items not upgrading to uniques. Is there only a certain way to get a unique? Most of the normal level items will upgrade, but if I gamble a normal level item and upgrade to exceptional. I can never upgrade it past rare using the stamina potion or the scroll of ID. When I search the D2 warren hero editor guide, its totally different than this video and nothing is the same as what works in game. Help! Thanks,
Anyone else getting 'failed to join game' when trying to create a game with an offline character? I have followed the steps in the video but can't seem to get the mod to work
the most recent version has it at akara but i forgot to make it not a quest item (same with the keys/organs in there) and so akara wont let you buy it lmao
Would be cool if you could duplicate an item, like if you made a nice infinity but dont want to do the whole process a couple more times for different characters. nice mod!
U need backup the character save file that holding the item, transfer the item that u want to duplicate to your share stash. Exit and save as usual. Go to your backup character file (with the item) copy and overwrite the save file earlier using file explorer. Enter the game u check your character stash and share stash going to have the same item.
Has anyone gotten a small charm with all res? I've been rolling for a long time and haven't seen one. I also noticed that the max level that will roll on the small charms depends on what difficulty level (normal, NM, hell) you are on when you buy the charm. This seems inconsistent with other items but haven't tested it.
I was able to eventually roll an all res small charm so no bug--just needed to start with a charm bought from Akara in Hell. Now I'm rolling for MF and All Res on the same charm. Shouldn't take too long ...
Isn't working for me. When I have -txt in the command line, it crashes each time. Remove -txt and it loads the game, but the mod isn't loaded, a newly created character has nothing but the normal starting gear. - Yes, I'm playing offline - Yes, I've placed the proper commands in the settings area (-mod ighe -txt -enablerespec) - Yes, I've unpacked and placed the 'ighe' folder in the 'mods' folder (I did have to create the 'mods' folder) in the correct area (D:\Program Files (x86)\Diablo II Resurrected) Suggestions?
Does it matter if i have my d2r saved in F: where my nvme is? cuz when i use the command line, its ethier crashing the game or isnt bring up the mod in general

I never hero edited in uniques but i did use a hero editor to farm them. To use on legit builds. I think of it as a fair compromise

You have make one yourself
You simply make a folder called mods in your Diablo II Resurrected Folder and Extract this into there.
I came across this. I tried to use it. I downloaded program but when I go into Diablo program I don’t hav3 a mods file.

well about everything plugy did is already in d2r by default really. the only thing missing is the unlimited stash.

that is a great mod, the teleport in town should have been implented in the game a long time ago

The browser one has a lot more options for the customization of items. Other than that it’s not bad.

In the old character editors yes you could. Idk about resurrection but it runs on the same code it did decades ago.

I like how creating your build is a bit of a game too, not just editing text, lol. You still have to roll randomly a bit.

when socketing items, why not follow the TASRED pattern which is already in the game for cubing up runes? Really cool mod though!

please add all the items you cant normally gamble/buy somewhere - sorc orbs, druid pelts, necro heads etc
Can I use the mod with D2RMM / combine with other mod?
Not sure if its on the fix list but i found out you cant alter Druid Pelts besides rolling white effects and up-tiering them

I'm really enjoying using this, but you can't make elite unique items with identity scroll. It only rolls as a rare item with the elite items.

great video. what would be the best way to find shrunken heads to test some of the unique ones like boneflame? only reason i ask is cause never seen one in a gamble before.
alright so i played around with it for a while now. i understand it's pretty much a rushed alpha thing atm but some things are kinda dumb. first of all a .txt or something with the recipes and what does what would have been really dope.
even tho it rolls max rolls all the time getting the desired affixes on jewels or charms is kinda tedious atm. for gcs it works great to get your skillers but if you want 10/76/45ers or certain scs and jewels it's another story. you're sitting there rerolling them for hours until you get something like a 40/15. there should be a way to duplicate them and also a way to influence the outcome. like for example lock a certain affix that is desired. for example we could reroll a jool until we roll 15 ias, then add another item to the cube that tells it to keep that affix and then reroll again until it has the 2nd add like 40 ed or 15 allres or whatever. would cut down time by a lot.
and ofc as said before by others there needs to be a way to make items ethereal. having certain items or bases ethereal is kinda essential for certain builds.
also the torches are as pointed out in the video always assassin so that should be fixed.
an idea to get desired affixes would be to use the gems like they are used for sockets. for example i have a rare item like a ring. i roll it till i get 10fcr. i add a thawing potion or whatever that isn't yet used. then i add an amethyst that tells it to keep the first row of text like in this case 10 fcr. then i roll until i have a second affix in the second row that i like and replace the amethyst with a topaz. this keeps the first two rows and i roll again and so on. this could also be universally used for all magic and rare items to get what you need.
i know it's some work to get there but the point of it is theory crafting and testing builds. for that purpose it should be quick to get the items you need and not a tedious rerolling grind lol.
crafting was also not really considered. while it is possible to easily get the materials there is no way to reroll the crafts until you get something useful so you still have to go through the tedious process of crafting a bazillion of them till you get your 2/20/something good here.
other than that thx for the work and good job warren! :) will be looking forward to future updates of this tool :)
edit: i just tested ubers which wasn't that hard with the cheat charm but the torches there are also 100% assassin 20/20s.
wtf, even ubers are assassin only? must have scuffed something, but i dont remember touching the torch line
@Tarrant Walter well I didn't do 100 runs but a few and all that dropped was assassin lol 😆 either I was damn unlucky or something about torches is messed up which I think is more likely lol 😆 😂

Thats aamzing!, now a few questions, can we modify D2R spawn rates and mobs and edit monster classes and loot tables yet?(was a mod call D2excel back in the day and I had a TON of fun playing around with it players 8 was a BAD idea lol), as well what do the numbers mean next to the name of the item?, is it the location within the loot table or it's base class item number?
d2excel is a program to modify the d2 files, which still exists and still works for d2r. the number is the item level

I extracted the file and now, for some reason, my car in now under Llamas name, as well as the title to my house. My life savings is completely gone and even Mr. grumpy, where I keep a few hundred dollars, is empty. My MTG collection is gone and the WORST part is that THE BURRITO I WAS EATING JUST NOW IS GONE!
Bug (maybe?): rerolling rings (magic or rare) does not appear to allow the 'apprentice' suffix to be rolled. This is anecdotal in nature, but I've spent about an hour rerolling rings and haven't seen a single 10% FCR attribute.
interesting, i used tools to mass modify a lot of the item level restrictions for affixes and may have scuffed a couple

Hola Mr Llamasc miro tus videos desde el año 2017 gracias a vos aprendi a buildear los personajes y tus videos son geniales y muy copado no me canso de ver los Speed run que haces y mirando este video me hiso acordar a un Mod que habia salido por aya año 2009 q se llamaba Diablo 2 Lod mod Nemesis era todo pvp habia un server en ese momento pero era todo pvp subias al personaje matando al Cuervo y subias autonaticamente al lvl 99 xD y nada y despues vendian todo en Akara y hacias fornulas con el cubo haciendi huecos palabras etc Anni y Gc :) un abraso enorme y saludos desde Argentina :)

the old Kingdom of teni mod for d2 has this sort of cube function. you can just reroll a item in cube to get the unq version of it.

In livestream Warren said in chat there is no downgrade recipe, just gamble the base you need
i'm more interested in rare items. is there a better way to control them? eg always guarantee 6 mods, and affixes depend on ilvl or something like that?
i have ideas for stuff like that in the feature, but updates wont come for quite some time as im busy with llamarpg

Having a problem with lots of items not upgrading to uniques. Is there only a certain way to get a unique? Most of the normal level items will upgrade, but if I gamble a normal level item and upgrade to exceptional. I can never upgrade it past rare using the stamina potion or the scroll of ID. When I search the D2 warren hero editor guide, its totally different than this video and nothing is the same as what works in game. Help!

the most recent version has it at akara but i forgot to make it not a quest item (same with the keys/organs in there) and so akara wont let you buy it lmao

Would be cool if you could duplicate an item, like if you made a nice infinity but dont want to do the whole process a couple more times for different characters. nice mod!
U need backup the character save file that holding the item, transfer the item that u want to duplicate to your share stash. Exit and save as usual. Go to your backup character file (with the item) copy and overwrite the save file earlier using file explorer. Enter the game u check your character stash and share stash going to have the same item.
Is there a text file with all the recipe's? Unless I am blind I cant find one and having to rewind this video every time is tedious

Mod only works on vendor bought items
Has anyone gotten a small charm with all res? I've been rolling for a long time and haven't seen one. I also noticed that the max level that will roll on the small charms depends on what difficulty level (normal, NM, hell) you are on when you buy the charm. This seems inconsistent with other items but haven't tested it.
I was able to eventually roll an all res small charm so no bug--just needed to start with a charm bought from Akara in Hell. Now I'm rolling for MF and All Res on the same charm. Shouldn't take too long ...
Checking in almost a year later. Any updates to the assassin Torch? Tried today and still getting it. Should I re-download the file?
Feels like many of the mod's features should've been there since day 1 some 20 years ago.
Isn't working for me.
When I have -txt in the command line, it crashes each time. Remove -txt and it loads the game, but the mod isn't loaded, a newly created character has nothing but the normal starting gear.
- Yes, I'm playing offline
- Yes, I've placed the proper commands in the settings area (-mod ighe -txt -enablerespec)
- Yes, I've unpacked and placed the 'ighe' folder in the 'mods' folder (I did have to create the 'mods' folder) in the correct area (D:\Program Files (x86)\Diablo II Resurrected)

someone mentioned that they had to change to America servers for it to work. Try that out
Does it matter if i have my d2r saved in F: where my nvme is? cuz when i use the command line, its ethier crashing the game or isnt bring up the mod in general
That's cool and all, but uh... where's the documenation for it? I can't just memorize all those by watching the video once.
I wish we could use mods on consoles.
