Amber you said you liked reading comments, well I hope you like this comment that I'm about to make. It's an excellent thing that we still have youth such as yourself that are proactive enough to develop good habits and skills such as cooking that will take them far in life. I was really impressed at how down to earth your attitude and spirit are, which gives off a lovely wholesome radiance from you. Don't stop cooking and loving what you do because it does leave a positive impression on people.
+Roman Shchukin Wow thank you for your nice comment! I love doing this and it's super fun. It's great to get comments because I know other people agree! Thank you!

I graduate as a doctor next year, and I'm always talking to people about healthy eating. Watching this video, it just occurred to me that I should be directing people to UA-cam, to convince them that eating healthy can be easy and taste this good. Props to Jamie & Amber for making my future job a lot easier! :)
OK seriously, I've made these twice. Once for my boyfriend and myself, and once for a family Thanksgiving dinner. They're SO good! Everyone loves them - kids, teenagers, and adults! Everyone thinks the recipe is super complicated and they're really impressed... But it's really not that difficult! Thanks so much, Jamie. This is one of my new favorite recipes.
Simple easy and fast, and very healthy, all in the oven in less than 30 minutes, or better than that? Fresh ingredients, easy to find, amazing flavors and a very fun way to cook with children. Thank you Jamie and Amber for sharing!
Excellent video! Great recipe, just one thing. In the video says 200°C/180°F (Min. 3:47). Just checking is 200°C/392°F. Jamie and Amber keep doing what you're doing, it's incredible.
I've been making Chicken Nuggets like this for years. Only, I swap the flour and eggs with olive oil then coat with the ground cornflakes. My kids love it. Their friends order it for lunch or supper when they come over. And ... there's no frying (which I love) so all in all healthy and happy.
great video No kid would say no to this.. I used to make this fried for my daughter, It was great to get the hint of putting the dolop of olive oil in the crumbs to help with browning in the oven. Doing it the oven way is not only healthier. but less cleaning up as well. I find when I fry, The stove top has to be cleaned. Less dishes as well. What a winner
I was looking for a Food Tube chicken nugget recipe earlier this week. Mixed and matched mine from a few recipes and videos to get them the way my family would like. Made the nuggets again today and half an hour after I had finished, you posted this video. Bookmarked for next time. Never tried sweet potato. Time to get brave :)
always love to have new versions of them. The kids love to make them and they love to eat them. I brine the chicken for a few minutes and freeze them in batches. for the days you just want to put them into the oven. thanks for sharing.
thats great Jamie Oliver! That you give room for others! and im gonna check her channel and see her! luckily my parents had the time to get me in the kitchen
I have made them today, but instead of Corn Flakes, I used Panko, japanese crispy bread crumbs. My son, 5, loved them. Thank You so much for the info about processed nugguets, and even more for this easy, wonderful recipe. Thank you, thank you...👏🏼
And I thought Jamie looked young in his early videos! What a star Amber is. And delicious looking nuggets. Never thought of doing them with cornflakes before.
when i saw the cornflakes i thought 'GENIUS!' i never would've thought of that. I hate having to go buy breadcrumbs specifically just for a chicken dish but this is seriously convenient and with convenient ingredients. I'll have to try this :)
My 8yr old daughter loves making these with me and always asks "can we make chicken nuggets?" and is so proud of herself when we all say how good they are - and they are good!! Oh! - and do DJ BBQ Sweet Potato Wedges with them - sooooo good!
Oh, wow, those nuggets looked really good, I've been looking for a recipe as the ones I tried before didn't turn out as good , and I didn't know cornflakes can be used as crumbs, Cant wait to try this , thank you guys for sharing! Amber is really good on camera and very artistic , good job little lady:)
Love the idea that you're using cornflakes! My aunt just sent me a bag of salted cornflakes and I didn't know what to make of it. This video came in a right time. Thanks Jamie and Amber! :D
Give us more of amazing Amber. Food Tube community go push her! She deserves it so much! That is cooking and great entertainment!!!! Just makes me smile so much :)
At 3:19 you mention making them in a batch in advance and putting them in a freezer: does this mean you prepare them as if you'd want to fry/bake them but instead freeze them uncooked? Or do you actually fry/bake them and and then put the "finished product" in the freezer and they're just heated up again when you eventually want to eat them?
+Amber Kelley (Cook With Amber) Thanks for the quick reply! I actually made them yesterday and they were fantastic! If I made them in the oven again I'd maybe just add a little more oil to the flakes cause they're at risk of getting slightly dry when prepared that way. But still they're truly great, which also means I currently don't have any left to put in the freezer. :)
yeah I started cooking when I was 12 years old and I've been cooking for 25 years. I wouldn't say I'm a great cook but I love doing things from scratch
These look amazing. Have you guys ever done a video for sweet and sour sauce, plum sauce, or really any sauce good for chicken fingers/nuggets? If not you should consider it. I'd love to be able to eat homemade chicken fingers with homemade sweet and sour sauce
Thanks for sharing this recipe, Jamie and Amber! I'm going to try it with my boys and our home-ec class. Please clarify and correct the baking temperature for the nuggets. Thanks guys!
Awesome to see healthy cooking. I am trying to cook healthier for my family and I am SO happy to see that you dedicated your channel to doing just that. Awsome job Amber. I will definitely subscribe! I also want to know- if I use a cookie cutter to making shaped nuggets, does it affect cooking times. How should cut my chicken to start? +Amber Kelley
+Amber Kelley when you ate the nugget was it juicy or was it bland and dry inthe inside because sometimes chicken can sometimes dryout which makes it taste bad? Anyway Im a kid chef and you inspire me amber
This looks great! I was wondering about the freezing: do you freeze them raw or cooked? Do you then bake them in their frozen state at the same temp/ for the same amount of time? I'd really appreciate am answer. I'd love to make up 3 batches for the freezer right away! Thanks!
Hi Pukka Mulla! In order to get the fries more potato-like, blanch them in vinegar water for about 4-5 minutes, dry them, and then season them before putting them in the oven. That will intensify the flavour. Trust me, they will taste much better! I do this all the time.
Must ask is it best to make these up in-cooked and freeze or cook then freeze? Me and my daughter love em and she took some to school last week her friends weren't allowed any but they ate my Julienned carrot sticks etc though so I'm getting them to eat good stuff although ive always been a bit of a chef.
Jamie's passion for sweet potatoes is great. He suggests swapping them out once a week, but I just dont understand why he doesnt suggest it every day. Sweet potatoes are a superfood that tastes absolutely amazing. They kick regular potatoes asses, he needs to tell people to eat them every single day!
+dropmatty Why are sweet potatoes better? They contain about 5 times more sugar than regular real potatoes. 10 times the sodium. 1/8 of vitamin C. Less protein, more energy. (Sweet potato contain about ~85 kcal/100g and potatoes ~75kcal/100g.) Might have have a lot of vitamin A, but we get enough of that anyway.(an average carrot fills the whole need. So does 1/3 of a sweet potato.) One could argue that eating more than 1/3 of a sweet potato is redundant and unhealthy, Sweet potatoes might also have slightly more fiber...
+dropmatty Well, personally I'm rather at a loss how I would 'switch out' two potatoe dishes a week, because I only use regular potatoe about once a month - do people really have so much potatoe in one week that once or twice is equalling to sometimes/every second time or something? I didn't know that!
+m8e well if you dont have a lot of sugar in your diet already the sugar barely matters. theyre fewer carbs, calories, more fiber, and more vitamins and minerals.
+Jemima1377 switch out any less nutrient dense food with sweet potato if it can be replaced. youd be surprised, theyre very nutrient and fiber dense. i eat 3-4 a week. one sweet potato can be considered a meal if theyre big enough. they fill you up
+dropmatty So I did some research on the difference between sweet potato and normal potatoes and I've come to the conclusion that they aren't really as interchangeable as you think they are. Sweet potatoes are slightly better for vitamins and dietary fibres but has more sugars and less minerals than normal potatoes. I think varying them to every other potato dish is good because it adds more variety to your diet which is always good to do. My data comes from nutritiondata.self.com
..though all those zip lock bags are not really good for the environment, and you can get the same job done without them ;) Guess it's a very European thing, to think like that lol.
YouDeadNowXD excuse you, why are you so defensive? I'm just pointing out that maybe you don't have to use a bag for a job you can do as easy without it. Just like I wouldn't take my car to the nearest store because it would actually be faster to walk the distance. It might end up do you some good to think about the world around you sometimes :)
***** May I ask whom am I being defensive against? You seem to be a bit aroused after I express my thoughts and opinions and retaliating, thinking i'm attacking you with your ingenious idea of using a "car" which took faster to extract the raw materials than it took to form (millions of years). Thinking a lot for the world I see.
YouDeadNowXD well against my comment. You seemed very offended that I suggested to think about the environment, since you felt the need to suggest my going back to the bronze age. Btw, was that your "thoughts and opinions and retaliation" ? I'm not quite following you here. I don't know what a "car" is. I do know what a car is though. And I really don't understand the last half of your comment... It just doesn't make any sense?? "A "car" took faster than extracting raw materials than it took to form." I'm lost... Or is your grammar a bit lost? I'm sorry, but I'm not a native English speaker, so missing grammar can really confuse meanings for me - if that is the case here.. if not, you're just not making any sense I guess! Anyways, you do you. Have a great day :)
Amber you said you liked reading comments, well I hope you like this comment that I'm about to make.

200 degree celsius // 180 degree Fahrenheit. I'm no mathematician but that conversion seems a bit off.
Steven Cooke its not
℃ = (℉ - 32 )/1.8000
Both oven temps as displayed are incorrect.
To convert from C to F:
multiply by 9
divide by 5
add 32
Therefore to convert 180C to F = 180Cx9/5+32 = 356F
To convert from F to C:
deduct 32
multiply by 5
divide by 9
Therefore to convert 350F to C = 350F to C = 350-32x5÷9 = 176F

I'm actually eating home made chicken nuggets as I watch this 🎉
How long can they last in the freezer for? Whats the maximum time you should keep the for? Couple of weeks or months?
Put the cornflakes in a zip lock bag, then put the egg dipped chicken in the bag and shake. It is less messy, and kids love shaking to the music.
..though all those zip lock bags are not really good for the environment, and you can get the same job done without them ;) Guess it's a very European thing, to think like that lol.
+Kristian Busch Yah, why don't you go back to the bronze age and dispose all your technology. Very good for the environment indeed.
"A "car" took faster than extracting raw materials than it took to form."
I'm lost... Or is your grammar a bit lost? I'm sorry, but I'm not a native English speaker, so missing grammar can really confuse meanings for me - if that is the case here.. if not, you're just not making any sense I guess!
Anyways, you do you. Have a great day :)
We love to have graded parmesan in the last crumbels.
