Isso Alex! Por enquanto eu estou usando só o Clean exatamente como no vídeo (clean e clean solo com vol up e reverb) porque desde antes do carnaval estou naquela correria doida de shows sem sobrar tempo pro estúdio. Ao vivo fica melhor que no vídeo pois eu uso um RC Booster ligado o tempo todo no início da cadeia e ele dá uma "tonificada" no timbre da strato melhorando todo o sinal :) Valeu cara! Obrigado!

Hey @Directrecordinguitar. I have a question. Why are you using the bottom left (red) cable ? Cause it’s mono out… I just wonder. And does it makes a differences using the stereo fx loop while recording or when you record it sounds mono? Is the stereo fx loop is only fort the headphone? Thanks a lot !!!❤
Hi! "Why are you using the bottom left (red) cable ? Cause it’s mono out… I just wonder." -Are you referring to the connection diagram? Just to differentiate because it would go over the white, if I used white there might be confusion for you to understand.
Question 2) -I always use stereo, whether in live shows or in the studio. I send the L & R outputs of the IR2 directly to the mixer/PA system or to the two inputs of an audio interface or even using the IR2 itself as an interface. I explore this further in this video: ua-cam.com/video/OZrQhHn7OOU/v-deo.html Listen with headphones and you will understand my stereo signal. This is how it sounds in the PAs where I play live. Valeu André! O acúmulo de funções em um tamanho standard Boss. Além dos preamps e IRs 96kHz eu tenho o reverb para os momentos de solos clean ou com drive então já é um pedal a menos no set pra shows ao vivo, tenho também o loop stereo então poderei usar os delays stereo ao vivo assim com usei no vídeo e ele está posicionado antes do reverb, roda liso como interface de áudio como usei na primeira parte do vídeo e tem saída de fones. :) Então, posso conectar meu set de pedais no IR-2, usar um fone de ouvidos pra estudos tendo ele conectado via usb no pc passando músicas, gravando, etc... :) Logo, começo a instalar meus IRs preferidos pra ver como soarão, por enquanto estou explorando os IRs nativos e ver até onde chegam. Ao vivo foi muito bom, já estou usando há 3 semanas esses settings do vídeo. Abração cara! :)

Thanks! 👊🔥🎸 You can use this on your amp input. You'll need to change the output to "Combo Input" or another option. Use the IR-2 IR Loader program for this. It's easy.

Excelente conteúdo, como sempre 👏👏👏. Poderia fazer um exemplo com a GT1 no loop de efeitos do IR2? Comprei o IR2, assim que ficou disponível no Brasil. Minha dúvida é se realmente funciona bem com um multiefeitos, tipo a gt1, sendo usada apenas para os efeitos de modulação e ambiências; em teoria funcionará bem, mas não vi ninguém fazendo isto. Estou pensando em pegar uma GT1 ou uma Ampero mini para este uso específico "estação de modulações e ambiências; talvez uma MS-70 CDR também resolva bem.

:) É, ele é ótimo, eu estou gostando e ainda nem comecei a explorar direito usando meus IRs. Sobre o preço em comparação a outros nessa categoria, eu até achei justo devido ao acúmulo de funções caso contrário eu não compraria de forma alguma. 11 preamps, IRs em 96kHz, loop de efeitos, reverb, saídas L e R pra usar estéreo ao vivo ou gravações, funciona como interface de áudio, saída de fones. Só tenho elogios mesmo. A Boss acertou. Abração cara.

Isso. :) Eu gosto dessa coisa de acúmulo de funções. Se o cara tem o IR2 não precisa comprar uma interface USB. Temos preamp, IR e reverb em um único pedal então eu posso remover do set o RV-3, o preamp 006 e o IR loader. São 3 pedais a menos. Para o meu caso esse reverb hall do IR2 resolve tudo ao vivo já que não toco worship. Veja que faço o mesmo com o DL-4 acumulando as funções de double tracking no foot A, Stereo Delay no foot B e Chorus no foot C haha Ao vivo eu não uso o Angry Charlie, somente o Fulldrive 2. Antes dele tenho um Rc Booster ligado o tempo todo então o FD2 dá conta do recado. Assim vou enxugando o set e deixando só o necessário pra obter os timbres que gosto ao vivo.
Hey, is it possible to use a fully wet pedal in the effects loop and still get the dry out? I am trying the fx loop of ir2 with ehx memory toy. Setting the blend fully clockwise removes the dry of the delay, but the output of ir2 is wet only too now. What might I miss?
question on you showing the send and return stereo loop - why did you still have an audio interface? Wouldnt the IR2 work as an audio interface as well since it has that USBC cable?
Hi Juan! In the first part of the video, I used the IR-2 as the interface. In the second part, where I connect the DL4, I wanted to simulate a real-world situation, like how we connect directly to the mixer in live shows. I wanted people to literally see through the green LEDs of the M-Audio interface the signal that the IR-2 was sending divided into left and right through the L & R outputs. Hi, it's possible to use this type of connection with any multi-effects unit. See: ua-cam.com/video/lKzj1YpmDDQ/v-deo.html / ua-cam.com/video/OZrQhHn7OOU/v-deo.html But I don't see the point in it, since the preamp and IRs section of the MG-30 is excellent. Thanks!

Hey there, I haven't made a video for a 'small pedalboard' yet, but I did create a clean preset using the Twin Reverb that pairs well with various external overdrive and distortion pedals. You can use it as a base and build your setup around it. Feel free to modify the scenes to match your personal taste, adjusting delay, reverb, and other settings. I wouldn't recommend using the MG400 compressor in this case since you'll have external OD/DS pedals, and I prefer placing the compressor before those. However, use this amp and cabinet setup as I did in the video and tweak the other details to your liking; I believe it will work well. ua-cam.com/video/FoylvepdbDA/v-deo.html

Hi, it's normal to have some noise, even in real amps. The noise typically originates from the pickups, especially if they are single coils. It's essential to adjust distortion levels for each guitar type and its pickups, avoiding excessive settings. If needed, you can incorporate a Noise Gate pedal at the beginning of your effects chain and pay attention to ensuring a good electrical setup in your guitar, including quality wires, switches, jacks, shielding in the pickup cavities, and using high-quality cables. The power supply is also crucial in this regard. Check the manual to determine the required mA for the IR-2 to function properly.

How much you like it when comparing to other cab sim pedals?
Hi, I haven't installed my personal IRs on it yet because I'm in the midst of traveling with the band. However, I'm using it live exactly as in the video, and I'm enjoying it. The live sound is better than in the video because I use an always-on RC Booster at the beginning of the chain, so the guitar tone arrives more 'toned' in the IR-2. In addition to the preamps and IR loader, the IR2 has reverb, an effects loop, functions as an interface, and has a headphone output... I believe I wouldn't know how to compare it to the other stompbox-format simulators I have because none of them gather as many features.
What is your signal chain live? How do you feed monitors and how does the signal go to the mix board?
Hi, in the live shows I've been doing for about a month and a half, I use the guitar going to the input of the mini Cry Baby - Mooer Tuner - Phase 90 - RC Booster - Fulldrive 2 or Angry Charlie (one of the two). These pedals go directly to the Boss IR-2 input (as if it were a real amp). The DL4 is connected to IR2 via the stereo effects loop, as I demonstrated in the video, using my stereo delays and chorus. The two IR-2 outputs go to two DI Boxes, the signal goes to two mixer channels. The audio engineer does his work in the mixer's PAN to send my stereo signal to the PA system and distribute it to the stage's audio monitors or monitoring via headphones in some cases. Yes! We can, for example, have a Twin Reverb on one of the channels and a Rectifier on the other.

And what does the channel switch button do when there's a different amp on each chan
It's not like Mooer's CabX2 or Flamma FS7 where we can use two different IRs per channel and even add a small delay between them, increasing the stereo sensation. When we choose a channel, it will be the same IR on both Le R outputs. I did double tracking at some point in this video using the DL4 ping pong delay. Just step on the footswitch and there will be an alternation between the green and red channels. There are other videos in the playlist, see Rectifier where I use a Rect Riffs on one of the channels and a Rect Lead Tone on the other channel. Link in description.
Throw in a metal pedal and you have a "do everything" rig at your feet.

Yes, I agree. And we can still have a clean tone on one channel and an ultra-heavy Rectifier on the other channel if we don't want to use an external pedal. Or Rectifier riffs on one channel and a Rectifier lead tone on the other channel. :) There's a lot you can do with just the IR-2. I'll explore this quite a bit over time.
