A billion thank yous Johnny! They really should put a little red around that ring as the bottom of mine is black and I cannot see the whole. But I found it with the tip of my finger and then slid that key in right beside my finger and it worked!
We’re really happy with our Eufy. After 3-4 months battery is at 34% (we record 30 sec of motion, but power saver is always an option) Many neighbors have mentioned frustration with ongoing monthly costs for their Ring doorbells. We don’t have that problem!
That's awesome. I'm glad you wrote this comment. I was weighing up whether to get this or not and was worried that I'd have to charge it every few days. Your comment just helped me make up my mind.
@@UBNshadow Also there's always an option to actually wire it up after, you only need 8 - 24V AC. (The higher the faster it charges) we have the battery one here (reason: storage is stored inside not on the doorbell like the wired version, costs more but worth it in case it gets stolen, helps you identify them, I read that the doorbell's aren't usable if they're still linked to your account if they ever get stolen)
I WISHED my key was like yours, mines was basically a thin oval wire with about 1/4 inch prong at one end. One look at it and I knew it would be very easy to lose or bend. I immediately tied a string to it and put it in our key box. It's basically the same "key" that use on a cellphone to pop the USB card out. They usually come in new android cellphone boxes.
We ended up exchanging this model for the slimmer version ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx0jZ_lGlDVJhDnmagEU8gn47cmfPNlLQU because it was too wide for the only door trim area that made sense to mount it on. However, we should have just noted the dimensions prior to purchasing. Otherwise, we love the doorbell. It works perfectly, and the video is very clear, even at night.
Hey thanks for this it helped heaps. How long does it take to charge the battery? I’ve had it on for two hours and the ring has gone blue but I wondered if it truly was fully charged….. maybe it does then turn green?? What has been your experience since posting this video.
Thanks! I forgot how to take it off. The "key" is magnetic so I had it on my fridge and it was easy to find. Maybe it was made to be magnetized to the door.
I got a message that the doorbell/camera needed to be charged I learned how to do that from this video When I plug it in to be charged the ring is already blue You indicated that means it is charged?
For anyone that's researching if they wired their eufy doorbell camera correctly: you will see a green charge/PLUG icon if you connected the cabling successfully. My doorbell wiring was super short and I wasn't sure if I twist tied the cables properly after needing to stuff the cables back into the hole....... but finally I don't see a battery icon any more, but a green powercord/plug icon, so that confirms I'm set! Hope this helps someone in the future...... eufy T8210C
I have this one myself, I love mine the only thing I don't like is that the baseplate that you mount it to will not snap into the baseplate to secure it to the wall. No matter how many times you follow the directions it doesn't work .
Yes, this is a major gripe I have with this as well. I had to use a mini screwdriver to poke up into the hole. I will leave a link to the exact one I have because I know it works with that. but I'm pretty sure you can get a cheaper set for about ten or fifteen bucks or so. amzn.to/3UaHmEL
but you didnt show the removal of the camera/bell from its housing. All i saw was you inserting the pin (thats how far I got on my own) and then we see the removed camera/doorbell. Is the camera supposed to pop out? top or bottom first? do I pull on top or bottom of doorbell? - not trying to be a smarta## - just don’t want to break the holder or doorbell
Just pulled out mines, it was a real pain, took multiple tries, while pushing pin in I pushed up & pulled out from close to the base. IT DID'NT POP OUT :{
Same here. Ironically what this video doesn’t show is the only thing that may be difficult, removing the doorbell from its housing. I finally used a flathead screwdriver around the rim to prise it off while keeping the pin inserted. Pain in the butt. My advice, connect the doorbell to the wiring of your old doorbell. Forget the battery alternative.
Thanks very much for this video. I ordered a wired doorbell from Eufy but apparently they sent me a battery powered device. Not sure why there are two screws on the back of the doorbell to connect wires if the device is battery powered?
You probably figured it already by now. You can either recharge or hardwire it. If hardwired the circuit bypasses the battery. (correct me if wrong anyone)
Thank you so much I didn’t get the little key with my package. But I used a different device to poke it up there and yay! It worked. Thank you for doing this video!
The removal is an issue with an otherwise excellent device. My Eufy did not just pop out when i inserted the pin as shown in your video. . it took about 20 minutes, multiple attempts of frustration and fear of damaging it before I could get it to release. It did not remove nearly as easily as yours. any tips.?
Why would you skip over the insertion part? 🤦🏻 That cord trips up all of my dad’s nurses, who charge his camera and they claim the whole thing is confusing to get right
It's because the baseplate or mounting plate is trash , it doesn't connect to the video doorbell at all , I have mine stuck in there and taped with gorilla tape
Thanks did u plug doorbell into back of unit with long white usb cable coming out of the back of it? I can’t figure out where that USB goes it is not mentioned in instructions
Quick question, I couldn’t find online at all, could you wire a micro-usb to inside your door/wall, through a hole, keep the doorbell hanging and just connect it to a battery pack, when it needs some juice? Or will it disable with a usb cable connected, even without the charging? Thanks a lot :)
Can confirm it works while micro-usb connected. I have modified a usb connector to work with from a solar panel. My property face north, so not best for charging. On a cloudy day it is around 10ma only. (charge light comes on ) I would love to know the capacity of the internal battery !
Which is dreadful design for a security product. I'm considering this doorbell but may end up putting some sort of grub screw in the hole there as I'm hard wiring mine.
Well I feel dumb😅
I spent about 20 minutes for 2 days trying to take it out.
This is very helpful and straightforward. Thank you!!
Hey Thanks! I know it’s pretty straightforward and the instructions are there but it always helps to confirm it with a video.
I’m glad it was helpful. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Thanks, this really helped, I was struggling for almost an hr trying to pry the camera from the door to charge it😭😂
Thank you - I couldn't work out how to do all of this so really appreciate this walk through :D !!
You will never know how much you have helped me. Thank You so much!
Thank you! I’d forgotten the unit is rechargeable. Easy peasy!
I have the worst memory and I watch this video every time my doorbell dies. lol. Thanks!!
I’m glad it can help you! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks a lot. You saved my day. I was getting crazy and my husband is not helping me.
Hi Johnny, I needed a quick and reliable tutorial for Eufy and this was perfect!
Thanks! It means a lot!
Hi Johnny Thank You So Much For Your Video It Really Helped Me & My Mum Out 🤗
Thank you man. I really enjoyed your step by step instructions.
THANK YOU!!!!!! I literally used a paperclip and it worked

My wife got rid of my junk drawer and informed me that this tool has a magnet on the back. It now resides on the door that leads out to the garage!
I used paper clip and removed the plastic to make it a little thiner works much better than the silly key
Great tip dad!
Thank you for taking the time to do this. It helped !!!!!!!!!!!!
You da man! Helped a bunch. Thanks, Johnny!
Thanks for the help before I end up breaking it
Glad It helps. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Thanks, the clearest instructions out there.

Great to the point!! not a long winded video!!
The paperclip trick worked for me, thanks! No idea what happened to that goofy key. 😭😭😭
I find saving the key on my refrigerator, useful
Great idea!
Thank you so much. How long will it take to charge?

I had a heck of a time with the Nest battery doorbell, getting it popped loose from the bracket, and ultimately broke it. Trying again with Eufy
Thanks Brother! Life saver 🙌

E340 doorbell
While charging it’s showing red and green blinking ? But it’s not charging
What is the issue?
Will my doorbell cam give me notice when to charge it
There is a battery level indicator but no alarm. So you can see when it’s low but no audible alerts.
Could not locate the usb point on the doorbell so thanks for that!
what volts and amps for chager?

How long does it take for a full charge from empty? I wish we could swap batteries like the ring.

Kathy on the back of the unit itself there's an oval shaped rubber pad. You lift one end of it and swing it up/down, it will reveal the charging port.
thank you very much
The supplied Eufy pin does not always work. My unit is brand new and the device definitely does NOT "pop out" when using the pin.
Yeah mine too, it just softly clicked loose but stayed put until I pulled it
Mine doesn't snap into the base plate , I've got it gorilla taped lol

5 Volts or 12 Volts?
Is there a warranty if it doesn't work properly?
Rerecord this actually showing it "popping out"
