Wow! That was an absolutely amazing build! I am a creative mode builder, and you gave me a lot of ideas on how to improve my village, that makes no sense and that I am in no hurry at all to finish. 😂
This was a really cool build! I few extra things I would add for realism, more windmills and expanding the farm lands would definitely be necessary to feed so many people. I would also consider a second pub closer to the town square and add a bank, a blacksmith, and a general store. Expanding the docks with more markets around them and adding a shipyard would also be a good idea. The castle is also an interesting one. It’s not super defensible and doesn’t seem to placate to the nobility a ton but I actually kinda like how you’ve made it more of an area for the general public to also use and participate in. Few monarchies functioned in a way where they prioritized the peasantry over the nobility and coincidentally enough, your colours of blue and yellow is one of them with Sweden. Anyways, I really enjoyed your video, you definitely did a great job explaining your thought process throughout and keeping it entertaining!
Bro that’s great! Keep up great work. I never thought about infrastructure in my builds, I just build stuff and connect it up afterwards. Thanks for so many ideas and good content
Yoo, ur finnaly back, also super nice of you to put this much effort into making a city, I never heard of anyone actually thinking of infrastructure(don't attack me if someone already did this before, idk everything)
10:00 yep, some of them do. there are also saw mills which saw wood, and pumping mills which pump water from an area. my dad is currently doing a study to become a grain mill operator so was surprised to hear you talk about them!
just discovered this video and got to the bit where you said medieval wasn't your strong suit. i was very shocked, it seems so natural for you! great job on this, i loved every second of it :))
Pretty nice. I had a good laugh on the part, where you said, that you didn't do much details on the buildings. If I compare them to mine at my medieval village, they have way more detail than I ever did. 😅
I am a big fan of your build. The survival builds with all that grinding, are killing me and my desire to play Minecraft. I want to build it... "And they will come, lol." Great video.
I have been to an outdoor museum in germany and many medieval farm buildings, especially those used to store food, often have really high stairs at the entrance (normal houses usually not), but they also stand on small pillars. Its to prevent mice and rats from getting in. Since the house isnt on the ground, the animals rarely can get in. The stair at the beginning is often too high, and they cant just dig under the building to get inside since its standing on pillars.
I absolutely love that video and the mideaval theme, especially the huge ass castle, because size does matter. The only thing i would have done differently is to build the castle up on a hill or sth, but i can’t build shit in Minecraft so idc, it’s amazing!! 🤩
I'm from Indonesia and, your videos are really good, very useful for me, whose hobby is making cities in Minecraft, I got a lot of this knowledge from you, thank you very much. I've subscribed, keep up the enthusiasm for making content😇😇😇
yooooooo, this is absolutely sick man!!! I rly loved seeing this come to life and rly admire ur planning/terraforming skills! any chance we can get the world seed, I’m planning on building a village myself and the first spot was just PER-FECT❤️❤️
To answer your question about the day count starting at 0, it starts at 0 because it counts how many days has PASSED. When you first spawn in no days have passed yet.
I might be 3 months late but I’m still commenting because it’s criminal how little attention this video has. This is AMAZING!! You should totally put your worlds up for download!
I came to this video from a post from welcomintv but you’ve just earned yourself another subscriber. Amazing build. I’m real shit at building in Minecraft and struggle to find the motivation to build something nice when I could just live in a shit hole in the ground
Its amazing but its just a village, not a town. Idk why people imagine medieval cities like big villages, they had regular plan, with city block adapted to suit the terrain.
This is a great build, but not what a medieval city or town would look like, there would be alot more stone/brick houses, sevral stories tall, different market squares, and alot less empty space, medieval cities were known for being crowded areas.
Is there any way we can get the map dowload? I'm thinking of starting a medieval server w some friends but we can't find a good map and this is PERFECT! Otherwise, amazing video, definitely subbing!
(U can ignore me if u want to and im not critisizing) the castle was looking good, but the buildings in the castle where inapropriately placed, and the castle's placing was not where it should have been. (it really should have been on the snowy mountain)
@@Magicov I'm using your build as a tutorial of sorts for pathing lol, huge props. Any suggestions for how to make a dirt path block road look better/more natural? Struggling because I just discovered I can't place stone buttons on the block to use as loose stones

Love the how to train your dragon and dragon prince details
Nice builds, great idea but as for the realism the layout of the city it leaves a bit to desire :)
It is amazing it would be cool if you did 200 days😉

What do you use for the northern lights? its beautiful, just like your build. Nice vid too! Keep up the good work man!
The beginning.... I would have just started new worlds till I found a great spawn instead of flying around thousands and thousands of blocks

I’m making my own midieval city and it’s spread throughout 4 islands any advice on building or anything maybe different districts per island
absolutely think about what each island would contribute to the town and how trade between the islands would work
Are your shaders
Complementary Reimagined?
yes
You should fill a lot of gaps and stuff with trees to make it look better and maybe get a voice filter
The inspiration I need for my own build.
hot diggity dog this place is magnificent!

Hey man, I'm wondering what texture pack and shaders you're using.
default textures, complementary reimagined shader
Vanilla tweaks, you can mount your texture there
I highly suggest you get yourself the world edit mod to save your poor hands from carpal tunnel. Changed my (minecraft) life completely
for this video i specifically wanted to avoid WE and stick only to vanilla commands :)

Thank you for the idea! 🎉
I well credit you if i ever decide to make a video abiut me doing this!
Very cool constructions
Why is the lunatic cultist playing Minecraft.
if i remember, medieval lighthouses were basically just braziers on towers - but i dont actually remember
