    Great idea. I never thought of that. While I have it open I surround the chain with thin cardboard then fill in the gaps with J B Weld putty. Once it sets up there are no gaps for the chain to bunch up.

      Main thing is to bend it some to match the frame. You want the wheel to be exactly 90 degrees to the chain. ua-cam.com/video/Y02gjxLK_nA/v-deo.html

    I just want to add that I was putting my chain on counter clock wife like you are doing here and my bolt came loose. I had to turn it clock wise to tighten the bolt back and to then start the chain back on it from the bottom.
    I’m not sure if turning it clock wise hurts anything but it worked for me.

    Remember this. Your bucking bar has a tapered end. That's the side that goes into the engine. If you don't have a spark plug tool to get the drive sprocket moving, you can use a 19mm or 3/4 will work.

    how do i remove the engine? i know it seems easy, but seriously, the chain effectively holds the engine in place, so should i remove the 10t sprocket?
    or break the chain?! either way i can't believe i have to do this.

    Any words of advice for struggling with a problem? Just a general inquiry. (Bolts keep falling off, chain keeps hitting the frame, and other problems seem to be happening a lot lately) I feel like I am fixing the same problems every week.

      Don't give up. You are learning about these. It will get easier. Then hard. Then easier and easier. Don't overtighten bolts. Make sure engine is mounted properly and secure. NO wobble

    • @HughesMotorized

      Had that happen to me. You'll have to cut some metal to cover the whole flat area inside, drill a hole, clean the case up and JB weld epoxy the repair plate on

    • @HughesMotorized
      @HughesMotorized  Рік тому

      Your rear sprocket is off-center. Remove the chain, raise rear wheel, place a screwdriver as a guide to check if sprocket spins evenly. I'll bet you'll find the sprocket is off center. Loosen up rag joint hardware and give sprocket a few love taps to adjust. Tighten up rag joint and check side to side wobble and go !
