Niamh Rambles that broke my heart. All I could do is imagine her pain and it kills me that her family, herself, and Abby’s family has to go through this.
I agree. Hopefully some more information can come to light and both of the families can at least get some closure. Horrible reminder of how cruel people can be
You can definitely hear the hurt in her voice. She’s so strong and I’m so proud of her for trying to save other people from situations like this. She’s awesome.
She is strong for her sister. I think most of us can identify with this - dropping your sister off with a freind. I always say I love you - time is not promised to any of us and to loose a loved one in this horrific way and the monster still walking around - I just can't go that deep in my head.
**CASE UPDATE: Richard Allen, 50 y/o man from Delphi, has just been arrested in this case! He lived about 2 miles from the bridge and worked at a local CVS. Apparently he has a daughter who looks similar to one of the victims. So happy to hear that an arrest has been made. “Today is the day.” May the girls continue to Rest In Peace. 🕊🕊
I just recently watched this video for the first time and my husband tells me last night that he’s been caught. So happy to hear cases being solved!!!!
I wrote this 1year ago on this video: Phillip Woody Shepherd 1 year ago 397 subscribers These are my thoughts on this- The Man is local. This bridge, even though only 1.5miles from town, a lot of locals don't know its exact location. So he is someone that has local knowledge. (We have a disused pit near where I live, locals know of it, but many have never entered the pit. If you do meet anyone in the pit, they are always locals. You never see anyone from out of town there) This bridge is the same. Its too remote for someone out of town to be there. He is an opportunist, was out walking, saw the girls and struck. No Planning and knew the area well enough to disappear after the attack. Never had a car, too risky for sightings & registration. I would take a reasonable guess that he lives East side of the town, the side closest to the bridge. (it would be a 3-4mile round trip walking from East side of town. A fairly lengthy walk) He probably helped in the search and probably still has an unhealthy interest in the case to see what people know. The police probably have an idea who he is, but don't have enough evidence to charge.
”A judge presiding over the Delphi, Indiana, double murder case is reviewing arguments to decide whether the probable cause affidavit and other documents related to suspect Richard Allen's arrest should be released to the public.” This is from today
Courtney Bailey I agree. I can’t fathom of as a mother the fear that these babies went through. Yet be so brave and smart till the end. After hearing so many stories in the news about children murdered I guess I am an Over protected mother. In this day and age you have to be over protective of our children.
@@SinfulthornsGaming Would you happen to know Scott, and/or Aaron Lafond? They are in the Boy Scouts there in Delphi and they are identical to the Sketches right down to a mole on the son's cheek.
H U that is very very untrue, no one rlly knows who he is, it is so hard to find it, they are not protecting the killer & anyone who knows the case like i do, know that what you said, is false.
This case is one that I need solved. It's so heartbreaking that they did everything they could to get him on camera, and they still don't know who it is.
I’m sure people comment saying “I solved it!” all the time on your videos but you jogged a memory for me tonight that freaked me out and made me send in a tip for this case. I live in Indiana and I have watched this video before. But I decided to rewatch it tonight and something clicked this time when I saw that second sketch of the younger guy. I know that face. From years ago, but I know it. It took me several minutes to remember the guys name but then I looked up his socials and I mean the resemblance is uncanny. Plus, when I knew him years ago, this guy was a pervy slime ball who preferred middle school girls. And he definitely lived near Delphi in 2017. I paused the video and sent in a tip 😬 I haven’t thought of that guy in ages, but if you could see this guy next to that sketch...you’d be freaked out too. This is the first time I’ve ever sent in a tip. Thanks Kendall. I hope it helps the case.
“Trying to go through something when everyone around you is hurting too. You don’t want them to hurt like your hurting and so you just keep quiet” Wow I felt that.
Same. When I was 13 my grandfather passed suddenly. I made a vow to him when I was saying goodbye (he was braindead and on life support) that I would stay strong and take care of my grandmother, my mother, my cousin and the rest of my family. I had a twisted concept of what strong meant as a kid. I tried to avoid crying in front of anyone, in fact I hated when I did because I thought it meant I was weak. I used to shut myself in my room at night and son, but acted like I was fine. My grandfather was basically a dad to me, so his passing took a major toll on me. I developed clinical depression, which finally got diagnosed 4 years later by my doctor and therapist. I'm 25 now and although depression will always plague me, I know how to cope with it. I also now know that what I did to myself as a kid was so unhealthy. Pushing down your feelings doesn't make you strong, accepting and experiencing them does. So I really feel this poor girl, when she said that it really hit home for me.
Please learn the difference between 'your' and 'you're' if you''re going to be quoting people. Otherwise, since we know she didn't say 'like your hurting', you end up misquoting her and sounding like an ignorant moron. Thank you, that is all.
A girl went missing in my hometown, I actually knew her, it’s very interesting and I would love it if you did a story about it. She vanished without a trace. Still no answers, no body, nothing. I think it’d make an awesome story and a good way for people to start talking and hopefully shed light on her disappearance maybe someone will come forward with answers. Her name is kortne stouffer from Palmyra PA. Please please do this story. Please y’all, like this so she can do it. Help bring kortne home or atleast find some answers!
The calm tone in which the man says 'down the hill' just is sickning to me.. He was not hesitant, he already knew what he was going to do. Shivers down my spine...
I came for an update because I couldn't stop thinking about it.. it really gives me the creeps too. I hope they find him so justice can be served for these two little angels.. :( poor girls and just heart broken for the families. No closure you know?
this is either a serial killer or it is someone local who had revenge on their minds!! was this linked to drugs was this link to trafficking is there a cartel operating in that area as they've had other murders, a firebug who murdered four young black girls in Flora!! shake that community up and see what drops out!!
Those girls were so smart to get footage of this man. I have complete faith that this case will be solved soon and I pray these girls will be brought to justice.
I'm actually really worried about her because that sounds like really raw, really self-harming pain still - that survivors guilt. I know it myself and when you're in pain sometimes punishing yourself feels like the only thing you can do. I just hope someone has also told her that healing and living her life ALONGSIDE seeking justice is not a betrayal to her sister.
Fawn Whisperer I agree. 😕 I literally teared up and said, “Oh honey! No!” When she started listing what if’s. You can’t allow yourself to even go there. You’ll end up in a cycle of guilt and it is pointless anyways. It’s tough, but you have to always think, it just is what is is and accept the reality. It’s heartbreaking to hear her years later and tell that it still is an open wound. Hopefully, as time goes on and they catch whomever responsible, is that she can sleep better. 🙏 Also, my condolences to your loss, as well.
What about the JonBenèt Ramsey case or the Madeleine McCann case that are still unsolved. JonBenèt was 6 when she was murdered and Madeleine was 3 when she went missing and still has not been found. They deserve justice as well.
I’m so scared of heights never mind seeing the ground between the tracks. I feel so sorry for everyone involved I’m this case. I’m glad they see such a loving community
Early 2000s even in the city of phoenix our doors were always open because we would play outside an come in all the time for water etc even around the worst of areas nothing ever happen even with drive bys etc, i feel people use to not care so much about the dangers around that could cause traumatic situations
I'm with you Kendra. I grew up in the country where people left there keys in their cars and windows wide open. My mom was very serious about doors and windows shut and locked at all times (obviously opened windows in nice weather but that SCREEN was still locked..) and I've taken that safety mentality with me all the way. I even lock my husband out in the yard by accident because I see an unlocked door!!!!
What a well spoken and articulate young adult. I can't imagine being so emotional yet so professional at such a young age. Her telling the story made it SOOOO much difficult to hear. I've watched countless videos on this case and was disgusted and saddened, but Kelsi really made this story hit me in the depths of my soul. I have a little sister (we're both in our 30's, though) and I have a 16 year old niece. Kelsi made me feel this as though it were happening to me. Truly no words for this.
Absolutely! I can’t imagine holding the grief she feels and being so young.. yet she is able to speak so eloquently. She carries her sisters legacy with strength I can’t imagine.
I had to go back and watch this again, now that there has been an arrest. So interesting that the police said, “ he is probably hiding in plain sight “. How right they were!!
"I should have just went to high bridge with her that day" as much as Kelsi wants to believe that if she was there she could have "saved" her sister and Abby, most likely if she was there she would have been killed too and her family would have to suffer more loss so its honestly a blessing that she couldn't be with them and is alive now to do what shes doing and fight for other families going through similar things
People travel to commit crimes so they won't be suspected as much then if they did it close to home. The fbi have a tool that calculates that and they really messed up making that known to the public. Now people don't commit crimes so close to home.
My heart just breaks for the sister...she doesn’t even want to let herself grieve, but to just help other victim’s families. As a mom I just want to wrap her up in my arms and tell her how proud I am that she’s so brave, but it’s ok for her to hurt too and that she was a wonderful big sister😢💜💜💜
I think their theory was - whoever did it clearly has an inferiority complex (since they decided to attack CHILDREN) so telling them they're worthless and scared would spiral them to a point of doing something stupid to expose themselves. I'm sad it didn't work.
I know, I got that vibe very strongly from Kelsi. She's very angry, with the world and herself, and I'm worried that she's going to lose herself. It's a slippery slope.
@Jamie Rose it's called sympathy ,how about a little of that please?. You can't just say "the secret to not being depressed is just be happy" That's not how it works. As humans we DO often think about how we could have come across a situation perhaps differently to see a better result.
“The amazing women she was turning into” man that hit so hard. Cases with young people always make me so angry. How could someone take a life that hasn’t even had a chance to live. They’ll never get to look back on all the embarrassing phases they had. Or the secrets they never told their parents. They’ll never get to find their soulmates. They’ll never get to own their first house. They’ll never go to prom. They can’t ever have a family of their own. It just breaks my heart and makes me cherish my own life even more. No amount of justice can give these girls their life back. Man I wish I could bring them back.
What more, can the cops, possibly say, about this story, without revealing, how they were killed? Or, say at all? A normal-looking, ordinary man, walks down a bridge, with an abandoned railroad track, on top, & kills 2 nice, good, young children, & disappears. What more, can anybody possibly say, without revealing, his method, of murder?
If kelsi is reading the comments, I want to say this. You are NOT a bad sister. You are keeping the girls memory alive. You are a wonderful woman and when justice is served, you are going to be a huge part of it. Please never blame yourself for what happened.
I understand not releasing the cause of death. There may be a signature killing style or calling card of a serial killer they don't want publicly known. Or they want to preserve as many details as possible to keep false confessions to a minimum. The police may also be onto something & the girls' murder may be linked to another case. Sometimes releasing more information isn't the best strategy.
I think they withhold info sometimes so when during interviews or interrogations they can catch someone confessing something that only the killer would know. Or someone close to the killer. Then they know who to focus on.
@ShinbiBelldandy I agree! The part the public is asked to play in this case, is to identify the individual in the second sketch, or from the recording. If that isn't even possible at this point, what good would the manner of death do us? If it means the difference between a conviction and no conviction, us knowing that fact is not important!
“I packed them a granola bar. I thought they would be happy to have a granola bar after being out all night.” My heart literally ached when she said that. She’s such a strong young lady. God bless the families.
The sister seems in tears when she was explaining dropping them off cause she originally told them not that day a diff day and I’m sure the sister regrets that to this day. So sad 😭. Rest In Peace girls 🕊
The whole "I wish I did this with her, or took her to McDonalds when she wanted to get some. Or weren't so mean to her, or didn't say no." Broke my heart, me having an older sister. I would never want her to feel that way if something happened. Especially since we fight a lot, or sometimes she dismisses me sometimes. It would break my heart more to know she was feeling that way, as if, her being a normal teenage sister, could compare to what happens.
As an older sister I can totally tell you she probably would, because I used to bicker nonstop with my lil sis but I love her to death. I can't imagine losing her like this.
As a middle child I would never want my big sis to feel bad we had a normal relationship and she couldnt do every single thing for me every single time I asked and I would feel bad I was a burden to her that she felt she had to make happy constantly when it made her unhappy and I hope my little sister knows I still love her with all my heart even though we fight or I cant always give her a ride and hope she knows I do go out of my way to do as much as possible for her that I can. That part really made me sad too. Regretting her relationship with her sister when it was clearly very loving...shes dedicated her life to finding her killer and helping other victims of murder's families.
I use to work with Kelsi. She is literally the sweetest. I never brought up her sister because I wanted to respect her privacy. My heart aches for her and her family and the family of Abby.
Anyone here after the potential update? They caught a man in Indiana on kidnapping and attempted murder of a 10 year old girl - supposedly they think he is the one involved in this case as well. Hopefully everything is now found out and justice can be had for these girls. So sad
Hoping Kendall will do a story on Chadwell and uncover if he was involved in this! He lived less than twenty miles from this trail. I watched an interview of his brother saying that he was absolutely evil so wouldn't surprise me if he was the culprit!
butrflysings01 yes!!!!! And also bcz they dont give a lot of information about the deaths and also it doesnt get enough attention so ive been WAITING for kendall to do this
@NADAL Goat that makes no difference, males can be scared, they can be strong, they can be anything they want. I myself am a guy, and I’m pretty much a wimp, but I feel that guys should have the freedom of feeling things that women feel too.
@NADAL Goat that's not pathetic, that's human. I can't get close to a floor to ceiling window that's high up to look out. I have to stand like 6 feet back or I start feeling panicked. I think that's pathetic, lol.
Those girls were so brave. To record him and document things that were going on, they were very smart. I hope they find the guy that did this soon. They say they always return to the scene of the crime, he probably does live or visit there frequently. Thinking about that makes me sick.
Most criminals don't, though. Serial killers sometimes do, but it definitely isn't common. Especially if they feel any guilt towards their crime. He probably lives there because of where they were and how confident he must have been to murder them in daylight in a fairly open area of Delphi. They could have been seen or heard from anywhere around there. It's possible he was involved in the search, or has been there since, but I wouldn't say it's a definite.
That's a kinda scary desolate area to me!!! Idk nowhere is safe to me!!! Idk I live in Pawtucket R.I, I wish ppl should say more where they live the general area
I feel so horrible for Kelsi... she looks so completely heartbroken and all of her pain was in her voice. I teared up just listening to her. I hope this horrible man gets prosecuted justly and has to look all of both families in the eyes knowing what he did. I hope he has to face it - for Abby and Libby, and for Kelsi and all the rest of the families. They all deserve that at the very, very least.
No, baby girl, NO! Do not torture yourself in such a way as to remember all the times you would like to change now. My high school sweetheart, turned best friend/brother (sounds weird but, it wasn't) Passed unexpectedly on 3-30-13. I look back on all the times I could of been a better friend, a better person to him... I'm only now learning that he doesn't want that! YOU are an amazing young woman and your beautiful sister and her beautiful friend deserve such a smart, caring and loving soul on their side!! You truly are amazing. We will catch those responsible and these truly special earth angels will rest in peace- finally. As always, Thank you, Kendall Xo Keep fighting, girl. Libby and Abby are right there with you! xoxo
I think she realizes that. 😇 but those thoughts at first must be inevitable; probably especially in this case of murder. My point ig is this girl is really strong and I believe she only mentioned the emotions she’s dealt with to paint a better picture for us trying to understand her situation.
this is so sad. that audio recording of "down the hill" made me feel extra creeped out and gross, even more than usual when I watch true crime and hear/watch recordings
PLEASE READ: Most phone have built in emergency alerts settings where once turned on, if you press the power button 3 times in a row, your phone will automatically send emergency alerts to 3 of your pre-set contacts along with a map displaying your exact gps location with coordinates, a 30 second audio clip and video clip giving you an opportunity to state your emergency, quietly record an exchange ans even describe an assaillant. It can be done discretly from a pocket ans goes out right away so if your phone is taken from you it cannot be un-sent. Furthermore it could help discourage an assaillant from going through with their crimes knowing that people were alerted and evidence of their identity/intentions have already been captured and sent out. Please tell your loved ones about this feature, it takes a second to turn it on. Stay safe.
I learned about this feature a few years ago and I instantly activated it. The idea behind it is brilliant and can be so helpful! Problem is, my phone being in my bag of instance would send alerts to my mom throughout the day without me noticing and she would get worried sick so I ended up turning it off...😔
I know how they feel. April 26,2019 my only granddaughter was murdered in Lexington Kentucky, She was 28 years old never married, no kids. Case is till unsolved. I’m just heartbroken. I pray they find who ever did this. Prayers to Libby and Abbys families
The thing about “everyone knows everyone” is you don’t know everyone. It may seem like it, but there is always people you don’t know and there is usually a reason for it.
Yea, ive always lived in small towns But I never cared about the community, like yea there was way less of us, but I'm not trying to get to know people that I don't care about Like im trying to leave, I dont care how safe people think it is
You never really know anyone. That's y serial killers partners have no idea. Some people can lie so well we think we know everything about them when we know nothing about them.
There were 44 kids in my graduating class and we had a serial killer in the 70's by the name of David Mierhofer. Just goes to show small town doesn't always mean safe.
Has anybody looked into Travis Lee Evans. Former sheriff who was just sentenced to 152 years for molestation charges. He has a brother that owns property extremely near Deer Creek. His brother is the father of the former high-ranking official in Delphi.
i just can't imagine how a grown ass human being to see two little girls and think yeah i'm gonna kill them , like why ? what did you gain from this wtf is wrong wth this world , this really broke my heart i cried so much can't imagine how their families feeling ...
Psychopaths and sociopaths function and think in a way that is too foreign for most people to comprehend. Most of are so far removed from the way those people think that it's just inconceivable to imagine where they're coming from.
It's amazing to see how "well" this young woman is handling all this. She was only 17 when it all happened and now, not even 20, she made her life's work to help other families who share her pain. Her little sister would be super proud!
Being 20 and having a 14 year old sister this hits home for me so I’m gonna try to be there for her more I’m gonna do my best to put my issues aside for her. 🥺🥰
I'm 18 my sister is 13. Things like this make me feel guilty about not bringing my baby sis everywhere so I always take her with me I cant imagine not bringing her somewhere things like this just scare me so bad. This is so tragic. R.i.p to both girls :(
I see you were here a few days ago.... have you heard about the James Chadwell situation in Indiana? They are looking into connections and if he could have done this. People are thinking he has tattoos of these girls crying bloody tears. What weird timing to come across this video, I found it randomly and googled to see if there has been any updates and news articles just started popping up from the last few days
There are serial killers that are unidentified. There are MANY murders that have been unsolved for over a hundred years. They may eventually be solved, but the odds are against it. I hope these girls get justice, but it isn't guaranteed. Share info if you have any and remind others that this man is still unidentified. Things only get brought to light when someone brings them there.
In the beginning they talked about how the town was supposedly so safe people would forgo locking their door... that’s so weird to me. Like, I cannot imagine ever leaving my door unlocked. The area I live in isn’t considered dangerous or especially safe, it’s average, but as far as I know, no one ever leaves their doors unlocked.. 😐
In the old days in the UK people in rural areas never locked doors either. Times have changed now though, due to higher crime rates. I guess some quiet places in the US still might (naively) have a false sense of security.
When I was a kid, we didn't lock our doors. I lived in a 3-Decker apartment (that's what we call it in New England, not sure if it's a different name every where else.) My whole family lived in this apartment building. My grandma lived on the first floor, and my aunt and cousins on the 3rd. All of us kids would go visit one another. I remember the doors never being locked. We came and went as we pleased. This was 25 years ago. A lot has changed. Now, my doors are always locked regardless if the whole family is home or not.
We’ve left our doors unlocked and swung open when taking naps, one time we left it swung open when we took a trip out of state - MacBook Pro on the dining room table with curtains open lol. I grew up in a large city in mid 80s but it was so free even daycare allowed anyone over 5 to go into the woods solo to play. It was the best. We knew about strangers and what to do and stay in groups but had complete anonymous freedom.
Thank you for covering this story!!! We can’t stop trying to find this guy. I worked in the Delphi school system and moved out of Delphi a month before the tragedy. So many people wonder how parents could have allowed their kids to wonder the trails alone, but the trails were pieces of history. We had annual events of biking or walking the trails. Everyone knew them and knew them well. It wouldn’t surprise me if it was a local who did this because we all knew the trails. But every time I think about when I allowed my own girls to run in front of me on those trails, at times where I couldn’t see them… in scares me now. At the time, something like this happening was unthinkable. Delphi is such a quiet place and lovely place. I loved living there when I did. The people are all about family and community. Keep up the amazing work!
Also I’m old but I remember back in the day I watched an Oprah episode that explained no matter how scared you were, even if your life is being threatened you should never ever go to the second location because that is where people are assaulted and killed. Even if the assailant has a gun, he knows he isn’t in control of you until he removes you from the public setting so he will use fear to manipulate you to go to the second location and many people go without a fight because they are terrified. The first location should be where the victim fights, screams or does anything to scare him off because his biggest fear is getting caught. It was an entire episode about how women can protect themselves (on the air years ago) but I still think about it and wonder why aren’t we teaching our children these things? It’s important and could save lives.
My parents taught me this when I was a kid. Do absolutely anything possible to avoid being taken. Cause a scene any way you can. If they’re going to hurt you, make them do it in front of an audience. More often than not these people are cowards. And more importantly, they want an easy, agreeable target. My parents were obviously concerned about me being kidnapped, but I think this tip could pertain to domestic violence situations, as well. Every domestic violence situation is different, so I can’t say it’s ALWAYS the best option in that case. Basically, any situation in which you fear for your life, this tip is everything!
In this specific situation that response unfortunately wouldnt of done much help...for one these were young girls that were im sure easy to be scared & #2 they were already in a secluded location where there was no "public" to get their attention...i watched the episode on the paranormal nightmare channel with the fourman brothers posted just a month ago where libbys mom is interviewed & they go out to the bridge & she talks about this. Maybe if u guys watch that yal will understand what im saying. God bless & stay safe everybody! This case will forever break my heart.
idk why but i got the feeling the cop next to him looked a bit nervous after hearing that, his eyes went all shifty and he kind of looks like the first sketch?
I will never understand the concept of "unlocked doors." I grew up in a suburb of San Diego and, even tho it was considered a "safe neighborhood", we always locked doors and windows. My mom grew up in a small town, and she always made sure to lock things up-- still does!-- including the car. Keeping people and things safe is why locks are put on windows and doors in the first place-- why wouldn't people use them? I really feel for Kelsi. This was just a normal day and under these circumstances, looking back gives us a better picture. Kelsi's been through a lot and she is handling it very well according to this video-- she's really strong.
This particular case hits too close to home...I live approximately 30-40 minutes from Delphi, and was absolutely HORRIFIED when this story broke. I was only a year or two older than these girls at the time. This is still too heartbreaking. I unconditionally pray that justice is served for these angels, at least eventually. 😭💔 Rest In Peace Abby & Liberty.
when she said “we werent worried about not having a gun in the house” that hit me:( i never even saw a real gun theyre so uncommon here in canada i cant imagine it being normal to have one wow soooo scary:( rest in peace abby and libby such beautiful girls😞❤️
“Guys, down the hill” the way he was saying it sounds like a demand. When I first heard it I thought he was telling them where something was but I think he’s telling them to go down the hill and they obeyed bc he had a weapon (sounds like leaves shuffling too)
The Prescotts You're correct. They have stated that. He was ordering them down the hill and it is believed that he had a gun as well. This being the reason for the girls complying and not running for safety. It was also said that the girls did eventually run for it (at the bottom of the hill, i believe) and he caught one and the other girl surrendered because she couldn't stand to leave her friend. Truly heartbreaking.
I thought that! Now the recordings make so much sense bc I always thought if they thought this guy was shifty why didn’t they message their sister or their dad? But if the guy already had them it makes so much sense why they JUST recorded and didn’t try to contact help.
I used to go to that bridge by myself to just relax, decompress, and enjoy nature's beauty. And this has crushed the history and feeling of safety I had tied there.
Remember the book that made such a scandal in the 1950s called Peyton place?? Small-town secrets run deep along with a lot of conspiracy theories also!!
This made me cry, especially the ending when the sister was talking about battling with guilt that she doesn’t deserve to feel, the “what if” feeling. You conducted this interview so beautifully and respectfully, you earned my follow and this is only the first vid I’ve seen of yours 🖤🖤🖤
''you don't want them to hurt, like you're hurting so you just keep quiet'' this is so true- my mom passed away unexpectedly when i was 15 and it was really tough on my family- my grandma even ended up in hospital- so i kept my pain to myself to not worry my family even more. either way, this is such a tragic story, seeing the family member tell their story made it a lot more real than any of the true crime videos, i've seen before.
Natalia Waliszek I'm so sorry for you loss. I lost my brother when I was 13 and when she said that I felt it in my heart. I know the feeling too well. Days get better but the feelings are still fresh. I hope his case is solved so badly. Sending lots of love to you! ❤️
Natalia Waliszek we lost my dad unexpectedly almost three years ago and I felt that statement to the core. I want to cry out to my family but they are also hurting. I’ve kept so much hurt and anger in my heart since I haven’t had a way to really express it in a healthy way.
This is 15-20 minutes away from my small town, and I even sent in a request for this video! I’m so glad you were able to bring more attention to this case. Every little thing helps. This affected everyone in their community and surrounding communities.
Monika Ness yes! i live about 45 mins from Delphi and I was trying to type a comment about it being so close to home and how it affected so many people, even outside of Delphi, but I wasn’t sure how to word it.
I am in awe of the bravery and smarts of the two girls to try and collect evidence of the person following them, and of the sister for her advocacy and her drive to help other families 💜
I think its smart to keep specific details away from the public. So when they are interviewing a suspect, they can like "trick" him to revealing the details that no one but the killer would know. I watch a lot of cop shows
Thats exactly why they keep information if they dont release something and a suspect says the thing they didnt release they have the suspect caught its really smart like theyll keep wounds and cause of death a secret, or say a print a secret people need to remember theres a reason why cops do things it may be frusterating but if they release everything the killer will run and hide
It’s such a small police force and I’m sure they haven’t dealt with many deaths let alone murders, which is why they should get more outside help with more experience. Many times inexperienced or incompetent police forces in smaller “safer” towns let down the investigations and lead to them being unsolved or not properly collecting evidence. أنا خلفك
@@emmymoto competent and experience are completely different. While I'm sure they do have less experience, I'm sure they are very competent. Such an assumption shouldn't be made.
It had to have been someone they knew. The way he addressed them as "guys" was so casual. And in such a small town where everybody knows everybody. The killer must be hiding in plain sight whether he be in the police force or just someone in the community
@@Jennifer12342 the voice "guys" sounds exactly like Libby's step grandpa Mike Patty. Of course he's cleared . A work alibi. Well I believe police are behind these killings and that all the evidence is fabricated by them.
I live near this area. It’s absolutely terrifying that this killer gets away with it. I’m never going somewhere without some form of protection like a taser or pepper spray.
it’s been four years to the date since their murders and it absolutely breaks my heart that no one has been caught yet. libby and abby deserve justice and i hope they get it soon.
Yes, just in time for my afternoon snack!! Love learning about these cases with you as the narrator. You have a gift! Im also living for you being left of center focus... very BBC of you
She was saying that "I Wish I Had Gone With Her". Kelsi, if you had gone with them that day, your parents wouldn't be mourning over the lost of 1 child but both children. I know that it hurts now because you have lost a sister, think about how much more pain your parents would have gone through that they lost both girls.
Well you never know it could be different if she went because she’s older and she might of took action and saw someone following them and tried to get away as soon as possible. ( sorry if it sounds like I’m making it sound like her fault because Its definitely not her fault)
min I see your point that the three of them can get away or they may not. In the photos we only seeing one guy, we don’t know how many more guys or girls are with him ready to get them. Women usually looks more innocent then men when walking on the trails, so we won’t know wether any women they walk pass is working with him.
It could have went different if one of them have run. You can't shoot a moving target well, especially if two people are running at once (both at different directions)
Oof. When Kelsi said the part about staying quiet about how she was hurting because she didn't want others to hurt too, I started crying. I was 14 (I'm 28 now) when I lost my best friend at the time. We were selling girl scout cookies and she was hit by a drunk driver. I witness the whole thing, as well as a few other people. My mom and sister were there, my friend's mom and sister too. After it happened, I basically closed myself away. It was hard to talk about it because I didn't want to upset anyone with how I was feeling. I thought her mother hated me because I was the reason why her daughter was in girl scouts to begin with. Their family had moved away since living in the house was hard for them, just reminded them of Brandi. I was able to get closure about 5 years ago, and reconnected with her family. I wish I didn't close myself off from things, I lost friends because of it, and also changed as a person. All I can do now is keep moving forward. I'm very sorry that Kelsi and her family went through this. Also everyone else that was involved and was missing their loved one
@@lucylucy1933 Thank you!! It's definitely gotten easier over the years when it comes to thinking about her. I'm able to do it without crying. Plus, now I get to see her little sister grow up. She's 17 now! Totally insane how fast time goes
I can’t wait for you to do an update on this case!! As I remember seeing you cover this case. I quickly came back to this after I seen they arrested someone for this awful crime
Kimberly Arrington mines 16 years old and I’m 18 so I’m more of the mom. It goes both ways. Sisterhood is one of the strongest bonds I think. It’s really something special. Thats really sweet you call her mom ❤️
Kelsi, I hope you know how strong you are for promoting your sister’s story and reaching out others in your position. Everyone handles grief differently, and you are doing so in one of the most positive ways possible. My thoughts are with you and I hope your town sees justice for this tragedy in the near future.
***!!!! CASE UPDATE!!!!!!! A man named Richard Allen was caught for the killings of the two girls!!! They are finally going to get the justice the finally deserve!!! Thank god I was so happy and in tears when I saw this!!
Good god the audio of a man saying “down the hill” sent *chills* through me... we NEED this case solved, that voice sounded way too calm & confident for this to have been his first murder.. my heart goes out to their families 😔
Julie Smotherman Well apparently the police referenced this book called The Shack and that’s about a little girl being killed by a serial killer so maybe they referenced it because the killer is connected to it somehow OR they were saying he’s a serial killer
I truly think he is a serial killer.. no way could someone be that calm and collected on the first murder.. they would’ve been yelling and have a shaky voice but this voice sounded like he did it every day..
This hits so close to home because I once was a young girl who went into the forest and on hiking trails alone with my best friend. Little girls should be able to go have fun and take pictures in nature without being in danger 💕 sending love to the sister and families
This video brought me to tears, hearing the hurt in Kelsi's voice hit hard so home. The fact that this could happen to my baby sisters terrifies me. I hope the girls get the justice they so deserve.
hearing her sister say that she packed a blanket and granola bar for the girls was absolutely heart wrenching
Niamh Rambles that broke my heart. All I could do is imagine her pain and it kills me that her family, herself, and Abby’s family has to go through this.
I agree. Hopefully some more information can come to light and both of the families can at least get some closure. Horrible reminder of how cruel people can be

She’s SO strong! 👏🏼💜👏🏼
She almost looks like Libbys twin too wow although its not really surprising.
She is strong for her sister. I think most of us can identify with this - dropping your sister off with a freind. I always say I love you - time is not promised to any of us and to loose a loved one in this horrific way and the monster still walking around - I just can't go that deep in my head.
I know! I just wanna hug her

**CASE UPDATE:
Richard Allen, 50 y/o man from Delphi, has just been arrested in this case! He lived about 2 miles from the bridge and worked at a local CVS.
Apparently he has a daughter who looks similar to one of the victims.
So happy to hear that an arrest has been made. “Today is the day.”

These are my thoughts on this- The Man is local.
This bridge, even though only 1.5miles from town, a lot of locals don't know its exact location.
So he is someone that has local knowledge.
(We have a disused pit near where I live, locals know of it, but many have never entered the pit.
If you do meet anyone in the pit, they are always locals. You never see anyone from out of town there)
This bridge is the same.
A fairly lengthy walk)
He probably helped in the search and probably still has an unhealthy interest in the case to see what people know.
The police probably have an idea who he is, but don't have enough evidence to charge.
thank you for the update!!!!!

You don’t want them to hurt like your hurting and so you just keep quiet”
Wow I felt that.
When I was 17 I lost my mum and that is exactly the way i felt so kept it to myself.
Same lost my mum at 14 and told myself that I had to be strong for my siblings and the rest of my family.
Same, lost my sibling when I was a child and nearly lost my Mum at the same time.. it just wasn't talked about as everyone was hurting.
Please learn the difference between 'your' and 'you're' if you''re going to be quoting people. Otherwise, since we know she didn't say 'like your hurting', you end up misquoting her and sounding like an ignorant moron. Thank you, that is all.

Listening to Kelsi on the verge of crying this whole video breaks my heart.
I understand not releasing the cause of death. There may be a signature killing style or calling card of a serial killer they don't want publicly known. Or they want to preserve as many details as possible to keep false confessions to a minimum. The police may also be onto something & the girls' murder may be linked to another case. Sometimes releasing more information isn't the best strategy.
cause if they don't release everything then the killer will keep doing the same thing
I think they withhold info sometimes so when during interviews or interrogations they can catch someone confessing something that only the killer would know. Or someone close to the killer. Then they know who to focus on.
Thanks for understanding !

Most criminals don't, though. Serial killers sometimes do, but it definitely isn't common. Especially if they feel any guilt towards their crime.
Every time I hear the audio of the suspect’s voice it gives me so many chills...
Ik it’s so creepy
Same, instant goosebumps.
I feel so bad for Kelsi she even brought a bag with granola bars and a blanket because she had so much hope😭
😢😫
Libby and Abby are right there with you! xoxo
C. C. High school sweetheart/brother? X
Kaitlyn Smith I think she was trying to say that the broke up but he remained her best friend and like a brother to her.
I think she realizes that. 😇 but those thoughts at first must be inevitable; probably especially in this case of murder. My point ig is this girl is really strong and I believe she only mentioned the emotions she’s dealt with to paint a better picture for us trying to understand her situation.
YOU are NOT A BAD SISTER. I pray your family gets justice.
this is so sad. that audio recording of "down the hill" made me feel extra creeped out and gross, even more than usual when I watch true crime and hear/watch recordings
I got the chills when I heard that
Yes, that was creepy. He had that sound in his voice where you knew he made up his mind to do something horrible. Scary for sure.
The sound of pure evil. Twisted, unnatural evil.
Problem is, my phone being in my bag of instance would send alerts to my mom throughout the day without me noticing and she would get worried sick so I ended up turning it off...😔
Bless you
Omg a colleague told me about this feature today and then I watch this video and read your comment about it tonight 😮

I know how they feel. April 26,2019 my only granddaughter was murdered in Lexington Kentucky, She was 28 years old never married, no kids. Case is till unsolved. I’m just heartbroken. I pray they find who ever did this. Prayers to Libby and Abbys families
Frances Noe I Sending you my deepest condolences!
😢
I’m from eastern Kentucky and I think I remember hearing about this case. Just know people are praying for you and your family.
I am so sorry, sending prayers to you and your family💝
Frances Noe I’m so sorry :c I hope they find the killer!
The thing about “everyone knows everyone” is you don’t know everyone. It may seem like it, but there is always people you don’t know and there is usually a reason for it.
Yea, ive always lived in small towns
But I never cared about the community, like yea there was way less of us, but I'm not trying to get to know people that I don't care about
Like im trying to leave, I dont care how safe people think it is
Truest shit
Or it means that most people know the killer without knowing it
Or worse: you know them and just aren't aware of what they're capable of. Some people are very, VERY good at hiding the worst parts of themselves.
Call the tip line. That would be so tragic :(
Interesting... 🤔
He used to be the sheriff I’m sure if someone tried saying it was his some of his old co workers would defend him
0-0 this should be looked into.
i just can't imagine how a grown ass human being to see two little girls and think yeah i'm gonna kill them , like why ? what did you gain from this wtf is wrong wth this world , this really broke my heart i cried so much can't imagine how their families feeling ...
That exactly what I was thinking how on earth can anyone kill two little girls!
People constantly kill and torture dogs and cats too or other little helpless animals. Some people just wanna hurt pure and innocent beings.
Psychopaths and sociopaths function and think in a way that is too foreign for most people to comprehend. Most of are so far removed from the way those people think that it's just inconceivable to imagine where they're coming from.
Thirteen H earth is half heaven half hell. This is the hell part.
That's exactly how I feel, too @Thirteen H.
Josefina Hernandez same here! ♥️
Same! I'm 19 and I have 14 and 15 year old sisters and the way Kelsi told the story hit home.
Same, I have 5 younger siblings that I'm super close with and this is my very worst fear
I'm 18 my sister is 13. Things like this make me feel guilty about not bringing my baby sis everywhere so I always take her with me I cant imagine not bringing her somewhere things like this just scare me so bad.
This is so tragic. R.i.p to both girls :(
19 with a 16 year old sister here
The end where she is talking about all the things that she should have done to be a better sister really hit me hard.
@@Klayblayt I always look in the comments for updates! But I hadn't heard that yet
It’s 2021 no arrests made YET. Whatever is done in the dark will ALWAYS come to light!
I hope the girls get justice and they find the guy. This whole thing is heart wrenching
The guy could have died of covid, so theres that to also consider.
this is... not necessarily true i'm sorry to say.
@@MzFudgyMunchkinz what do you mean? Are there updates on this case?
In the beginning they talked about how the town was supposedly so safe people would forgo locking their door... that’s so weird to me. Like, I cannot imagine ever leaving my door unlocked. The area I live in isn’t considered dangerous or especially safe, it’s average, but as far as I know, no one ever leaves their doors unlocked.. 😐
In the old days in the UK people in rural areas never locked doors either. Times have changed now though, due to higher crime rates. I guess some quiet places in the US still might (naively) have a false sense of security.
I rarely lock up in the day
@@Melissasuzie always lock your doors.. for your own safety and the safety of your loved ones.
Makes me wonder if the person is in the police department....
That's an interesting theory. Why do you think he is?
I thought this too!! In such a small town that would take hiding in plain sight to a whole other level.
If that's the case we will never know. Cases like this never get solved.
@@kailab7756 theres no way of telling if the guy in the video is involved either.
@@Deenique16 You're right about that
Thank you for covering this story!!!
Hearing him say "down the hill" made me immediately sick to my stomach.
Aimee Smith-Goldwater I know right? 😔 Ugh. He sounded so calm. Which somehow makes it worse. 💔
Yep! And they say to crash your car immediately after having a weapon pointed at you to drive to a second location
I saw the same show and tell my kids this too! I'm old too btw.. that show was years ago..
This needs to be heard!
26:10 When the officer said "To the killer who may be in this room." He couldn't have been more right!
Or in this comment section. I wish this case is solved. Rip girls. 😔
idk why but i got the feeling the cop next to him looked a bit nervous after hearing that, his eyes went all shifty and he kind of looks like the first sketch?
@@fuddermucceri1646 Exactly!!!
I'm so glad I wasn't the only who caught that. About that officer next to the person who was speaking to the killer.
@@fuddermucceri1646 That is the Carrol county seriff Toby Leazenby perhaps he has a brother..? Or it is himself the killer who knows?
I will never understand the concept of "unlocked doors." I grew up in a suburb of San Diego and, even tho it was considered a "safe neighborhood", we always locked doors and windows. My mom grew up in a small town, and she always made sure to lock things up-- still does!-- including the car. Keeping people and things safe is why locks are put on windows and doors in the first place-- why wouldn't people use them?
I really feel for Kelsi. This was just a normal day and under these circumstances, looking back gives us a better picture. Kelsi's been through a lot and she is handling it very well according to this video-- she's really strong.
Oh my goodness I have a really good friend of mine who's liberty's cousin and I can remember all of this happening when we were all in 8th grade
im really sorry for your loss, i hope we get justice soon x
Where and when I grew up it was completely normal. I don't have one but I'd feel safer if I did.
Lisa i know theyre common in some places around canada but thankfully not anywheres near me and thankfully i dont need one to feel safe
i couldve worded this better lol
I feel unsafe if I know guns are around
You my friend are an idiot. Guns are inanimate objects, do you think the gun is going to shoot you on its own.
They have arrested someone that they think may have a connection in this case, would love to see you look into this again and maybe do an update.
Melissa Nolen that’s so sad omfg 😔💔
I thought that! Now the recordings make so much sense bc I always thought if they thought this guy was shifty why didn’t they message their sister or their dad? But if the guy already had them it makes so much sense why they JUST recorded and didn’t try to contact help.
Fucking Sherlock Holmes! That's been the theory for over 2 fucking years!

Tails the details that no one know no one no no one but the killer would know. I watch a lot of cops show up cops show up
The Delphi police department needs outside help, they’re not competent enough to solve a murder case!
Anon Ymous or a coverup heartbreaking
It’s such a small police force and I’m sure they haven’t dealt with many deaths let alone murders, which is why they should get more outside help with more experience. Many times inexperienced or incompetent police forces in smaller “safer” towns let down the investigations and lead to them being unsolved or not properly collecting evidence. أنا خلفك

It had to have been someone they knew. The way he addressed them as "guys" was so casual. And in such a small town where everybody knows everybody. The killer must be hiding in plain sight whether he be in the police force or just someone in the community
Serena Jones honestly the sheriff in the background looks a lot like the first sketch but with no hair, maybe it’s just me but idk
