It's crazy to think Stuart is gone. I spent my whole teenage years watching him on Sports center each morning before school.
One of the best things about ESPN going way back. When I was a kid in the 90s I just thought athletes hung out at ESPN.
Shows how serious they were about these commercials that they made a giant, tacky portrait of Stuart Scott with a lion just so they could shoot this.

She, Keith Olbermann and others got into it so much that it became less about sports, which is why people tuned in in the first place. That affected their ratings negatively, plus with Fox Sports being their main competitor, that ate into their ratings even more, so they canned Hill, but the damage was done.
