really shouldn't leave the essential advice to the very end of the video...maybe put the health warnings at the beginning...though given I've been playing since CM93 I'm not one to talk.
There’s nothing more FM than winning a title or promotion whilst losing the actual match. This is the norm for any successful saves for me.
Of course the physics look more realistic, EA has no intention of simulating actual futbol

As someone who often spent hours modding Skyrim and then playing for 20 minutes. I never knew I was born for FM until I picked up FM 23 1800 hour later, I need rehab.
As the sun dipped beneath the horizon, casting its fiery glow across the sky, the night seemed to settle in like any other. Nag, a cobra of sinister grace, embarked on his nightly ritual. His sleek body moved effortlessly through the underbrush, searching for prey. In a lightning-fast strike, his fangs sank deep into his victim. The subtle warmth of life drained as Nag swallowed it whole, feeling the surge of vitality coursing through him. Energized, he slithered back along his familiar path, the trail left behind like a whisper in the dirt.
But then, the air changed. A disturbance-something unnatural-rustled from the shadows near his home. The sound was sharp, menacing, like claws on stone. Nag's body stiffened. Cautiously, he wound his way toward a thick cluster of bushes and peeked through the leaves. His blood ran cold. Cloaked in darkness, a pack of mongooses, their eyes glinting like shards of broken glass, prowled through the clearing.
Time seemed to freeze as Nag watched in horror. Suddenly, one of the mongoose sprang from the shadows, a vicious blur of fur and fangs, landing squarely on a cobra’s hood. With a sickening rip, it tore a piece of skin clean off, exposing the cobra’s vulnerable frontal and parietal lobes. Blood gushed from the wound in pulsing spurts, the life force draining from the serpent in agonizing seconds. In a desperate, dying effort, the cobra struck, aiming to sink its fangs into the attacker’s eye. But it missed, its strike weak and clumsy from blood loss.
The other mongooses reacted immediately, a violent frenzy taking over. They descended upon the cobra with savage fury, ripping into its body with sharp teeth and relentless claws. Each tear, each bite, shredded tissue and muscle, reducing the once-mighty serpent to quivering, blood-soaked remains. Nag could do nothing but watch, paralyzed by the scene unfolding before him.
The pack’s bloodlust was far from sated. They turned their attention to the rest of the family. It was not a kill; it was a massacre. They ripped each scale from the serpents’ bodies, gnawing at flesh and bone with a macabre precision. They tore muscle from sinew, working with such savage expertise that it was horrifying to witness. Nag’s vision blurred with rage and terror as they devoured every piece, leaving nothing but the broken remnants of a family.
Then, the most grotesque scene unfolded. One of the mongooses, having finished its brutal feast, casually yanked the pterygoid bone from the quadrate of the cobra’s skull, using it as a crude toothpick to scrape the remaining flesh from its fangs. They chowed down on the serpents' heads, stripping the meat clean from the bones, as if every morsel was a delicacy to be savored. The horror was complete. Not even the bones were left unmarred-this was annihilation, pure and unrelenting.
Nag’s heart hammered in his chest, every inch of his body paralyzed by the carnage he had just witnessed. His world had been torn apart in a single, bloody night.

IT S AN EPIDEMIC, THE GREAT FM MIGRATION IS HAPPENING, AND THE YEAR EA INTRODUCES FM-LIKE PLAYER ROLES TO FIFA TOO! Nah but seriously, as someone that moved from FIFA to FM with FM23 because of these videos too I am surprised he got the hang that quickly, took me like 2 months to play 4 seasons the first time I played (as my favourite irl club FCSB from Romania, I won 4 league titles, qualified for CL once before settling at EL level) and then had to stop because of computer issues, now it seems like I ve fixed them so I have been able to enjoy FM 24. Had to literally test out the game speed myself in a test career as the stars are way too vague then started a real career as FCSB again, did well initially (3 losses by November and 2 of those were fully simmed, got into the ECL RO16 despite us not even qualifying for the group stage irl) but then disaster struck. 8 straight losses, including to Midtjylland in Europe. We lost our league advantage heading into the championship round. I get hauled in for a meeting by the board. I survive (admittedly save scummed the options once but nothing besides that). Then we get better. 4 wins in 6 games, including getting into the Romanian Cup final, a 4-0 league win over Craiova and beating league leaders Rapid. Then I get fired. What? I was literally 4p away from the title with 4 games to go. FCSB loses literally all remaining games without me, finishing 5th. Rapid wins the title. I start frantically applying for jobs but no one is willing to take me on. Then in about September I start getting interviews from VNL teams (had to load the league in as I only had it view only initially). One of them rejects me. Eventually Hartlepool fires their manager and I remember I took them to PL and CL glory in a save back in FIFA 22 as well so I sign for them. They were 18th when I took them on. We made it to Wembley in the first season after 11 straight wins at the end of the season. Then we lose to a 90+2 own goal. It is what it is. Now I am in the 3rd season, we are currently sitting in 6th but only 7p off the top after 32 games played despite a bad start to the season. But the main thing is not that, is that we are somehow in the 5th ROUND OF THE FA CUP and we have Huddersfield (10th in the Championship) next. Hartlepool has never made it further than Round 4 (last 32) irl. How. I thought it was all over when we drew Wolves (Championship as well in this save) in the 3rd round. It wasn’t. Then we drew Chelsea or Swansea as they still had to play the replay. It was Swansea somehow, despite them having won 2 OUT OF THEIR LAST 20 GAMES BEFORE THAT. Really getting some FIFA scripting vibes ngl:))
Anyway, I really got carried away there, back to the video. FM physics vs FIFA…I guess the physics themselves are fine but the ME itself still needs work in FM (and not just the graphics, which are definitely workable), I have noticed loads of player positioning issues (then again I am in the 5th tier of England now), FIFA-like perfect bounces to get you to score (then again I wouldn’t see them otherwise as I play on key highlights) and the text not aligning with the visuals on some foul calls (text says “clear penalty” but it looks like a dive in the ME or the other way around etc). FIFA does have balls clipping through players legs or gets hit by a forcefield before reaching them itself but that s a visual issue, usually it ends up sort of making sense. Player positioning can be an issue in FIFA too but it s usually due to player switching being wonky or midfielders not tracking back, holding position however they do pretty well but then again you’re expected to tell them to do anything that you want them to in FIFA. Anyway, I did end up infected by the FM bug too as that first paragraph shows so no hate intended on the game
just figures that two (Nicks) of the most toxic Fifa (EAFC) players ever would switch over to FM. They're gonna love it, since they love nothing more than to accuse the game of cheating and "making them lose" LOL.
I've been addicted to fifa since like 2010. I still will play pro clubs, I play competitively and it's closer (for FIFA) to actual football, but yea I'm addicted to FM since it dropped on Epic Games. It's actually outstanding.

It's funny, I actually jumped over to FIFA this year rather than getting FM25. (Haven't gotten a FIFA game since like... 18?)
And its been loads of fun to be honest. Maybe a tad unrealistic in terms of the matches I'm winning, but no more than how some matches go in FM.
I think it can be pretty fun once every couple of years. The same can be said for FM honestly.
To be honest I don't really care about graphics too much at all, I've always been a guy who can appreciate games with not that great graphics and I don't think they really do need to update graphics at all. I kinda like the fact that lower end computers can play FM. Also while I do key highlights myself and not extended, you can actually react based on opponents scoring goals especially if you are the worse team like my current save as Tensung from Bhutan, I'm basically using my own dynamic youth rating system(basically for low level countries upgrading youth recruitment and junior academy coaching and youth facilities and training facilities to a level no team in your country has ever gotten gives you youth rating points). So I managed to bring Bhutan up to 112 youth rating points by winning the Asian Confederation Cup, reaching the Semi Final of the Asian Champions League and reaching the Asian Cup for the first time. And you know what it has weirdly done, it does actually make a difference if you do it slowly and like I have done, we have lots of players with above 100 potential who come through the youth intake and because I play youth players often I can get them to a decent level of their potential, I don't think the AI will ever get players to their potential as often as I will and so basically we have become a decent Best of the rest team in Asia, I don't think we will beat Japan or Australia or Saudi Arabia but we can beat the UAE, Qatar and China. My next save is gonna be another Build a Nation but with Cape Verde of Africa and then I will do a Cuba CONCACAF save, and then I will do my greatest challenge yet, the mid tier Continental Glory Hunter, basically I can only pick mid tier countries like Thailand or Vietnam for Asia, Cuba for CONCACAF, Uruguay or Colombia for South America, for Europe it would be like the Croatian or Norwegian leagues and Oceania will be included in this challenge. The main aim is to win the domestic title, domestic cup and Champions League equivalent in every continent that plays football but with only a mid tier country so no Australia or Japan for Asia, No France or England.

I get where he's getting at with the physics... Fifa and PES used to look more realistic, but people wanted instant reactions from their button presses, so momentum, balance and posture went out the window and now we've got these weird staccato spiderlike movements from players that can start, stop and turn on a dime.

Honestly Zealand don't be thinking about quitting fm content if other big streamers are picking it up. Use this popularity and competition to your advantage. Do collabs, make more content, make better content that goes even further than before.

As a man who's played the game since Championship Manager 01/02. I wish I was this in love with the game still. I can't wait to see what the new engine is gonna do for the game. It would be awesome to fall in love with the game again.

tbh if youre worried about the size of the game and min spec requirements increasing to accommodate unity you need a new rig. its that simple. cant be pandering to people playing on computers from the dark ages, its holding the game back.
