Despite being 5 seconds long, Zerkaa being featured on a Zealand video was not part of my 2025 bingo card With that said, Zealand as manager for the Sidemen Charity Match 2025 here we land?
it was weird to me when he didnt know that, i dont think zealand is actually american in my head hes just from england but with a weird accent or smth lol
"Hope your year is off to a hot start. And if it's not... Football Manager is always there for you." Love playing this game all the time when I'm depressed, so this is real.
I love when someone says “don’t TELL me how to play.” Ever since Spoony got blasted by it. Telling chat to not tell you how to play is like an EPL striker telling a manager to stay humble
10:22 not to shoot shots at TheDeepLyingPlaymaker, but in one of his videos he says you should watch the first training match I think it was on 1x speed, to get to know the tactic! :P And you know what, I thought he was a psycho for saying that as well :P But damn, I'm 100% sure it actually works VERY good if you're trying something new etc. I usually just put them on extended highlights for the friendlies, but oh well. I think I'll have to try his method to madness out the next time i get the FM itch, cus he CLEARLY knows what he is talking about :P
It's a good idea to watch not only 100% speed, but *full matches* -- not necessarily the whole thing, but 15-30 minutes -- both when first creating your tactic and when trying to diagnose what's not working. You can't reliably tell what the problems are just from watching the other team's highlights.
how on earth do you deal with the controls. I tried it free on psplus and was frustrated before getting into my save. they're not intuitive at all and 100x slower than using a mouse
You can pick up almost any laptop made in the last 12 years and it will still play FM to some extent. You might need a small database or fewer leagues if it’s really terrible, but a half decent second hand model should be serviceable. Being able to play on an awful computer is part of the beauty of FM.
You should make a video about every tactical instruction and when to use it/when not to lol. I realized bc of this video that I probably should turn off 'stop crosses' in some of my saves. Also don't have pressing fully figured out I think lol, when to prevent the keeper from playing short and when to trap inside/outside (or just leave that gray?)
Prevent short gk distribution when you're confident if they play it long your defenders will deal with it in the air. Otherwise you force them to play it long and it actually works for them as your defenders are rubbish. I generally don't trap inside or outside but basically inside if you have loads of players there and you're a crowd the middle kind of team in defence, outside if you're worried if they come inside they either have long range passing threats or could potentially pass through you in the middle. If you have aerially dominant defenders and they have no aerial threat up front you generally can't go too far wrong with force outside and invite crosses. Obviously stop crosses if you're worried about their aerial threat, but you have to be careful you have players out there to stop the cross. If your full backs are super attacking stopping crosses is going to pull centre backs or centre mids over there to stop the cross which will leave gaps in the middle.
I didn't know so few people play with sound on... I've gptten 3rd party add ons that add like team specific sound and goal celebration from the crowd :D
Welcome to your new life. Going to bed worrying about your injury crisis, excited about your new wonderkid signing, getting frustrated at your star player not signing a new contract etc.
wait is 5 at the back difficult? im new to fm and I started a my first save with 5 3 2 tac with preston north end and got promoted my first season, when we were predicted to get relegated. I actually managed to get on a 34 games no loss streak lol. and got into the conference league in the second season,
It is difficult to make a back 5 tactic well balanced. 5 at the back means less players further forward which means less pressure on the ball defensively and less passing options when you get forward, which we saw in this video! If you know what you're doing it's perfectly fine to play with an unbalanced tactic as lack of balance can mean you get overloads in certain areas and as long as you know where the lack of balance is you can exploit it and make it really successful, but for a newbie just getting something balanced is a lot safer! You're taking a bigger risk trying to go unbalanced, but obviously can be big reward if you get it right as well. The other issue newbies can encounter with a back 5 is just making it too complicated feeling like you have to use every role or you have to use certain roles that are only available with 3 centre backs. Thinks like wide centre backs and liberos are naturally high risk roles and again the risk can come with reward but when you're new to the game can also totally ruin what you're trying to do.
So…if you’re just starting like i will be getting fm25 in march right…wouldn’t you want to ease into the tactics and play a 3-5-2, 4-3-3 or if you’re feeling nostalgic a nice 4-4-2?
Need help! Trynna play fm24 console (series s) online but the lobby only lets the host and 1 other join and no one else can connect does anyone know a fix for this!?

Who is this person? People watch him? He can barely speak. 4:11 "I'm fairly certain he doesn't know what roles are". I am absolutely certain he doesn't even know which day of the week it is.
Can we not get a ‘teaching angry ginge to play fm’ series. I think he’d be down for it
Great shout, it would be hilarious 😂
Nah way too long
Ginge has irl ref badges and is a grassroots manager - his yanited series is awesome
Imma watch that
Imagining Ginge as the Collina of the lower leagues lmao
I can't stand his annoying moany manc accent shouting at the ref constantly.

"Has he got the minerals?" is euphemistic slang for "Does he have the testicular fortitude?" in case you truly weren't aware.

I went into this vid thinking Ginge would annoy me, but I was pleasantly surprised, the guy is entertaining and knows footy.

@WSLionesses and has ref badges

My word you could be the voice double for Brian the Dog from family guy 😂 great video as always 👍

id love to see ginge go in on FM, especially given his IRL management journey. Would be an amazing series to watch alongside with his progression
