Thanks DT! More motivation (as if I needed any more) for my SW Montana trip in a couple weeks. Bikepacking with my daughter on a few sections of the Divide route! Life doesn't get any better than that! Love the channel!!❤
flatlander Houstonian here. My son and I rode Big Sky last year and we just did Purgatory a few weeks ago. Heading to Ketchum in a couple weeks and this trail might be our pick! Great video!
Excellent job on this video my friend, you've definitely got a giftedness in this medium. Looked like an awesome ride. Keep up the great work and keep having fun with it.
Dude...just watched this viedo while researching areas to ride on my vacation next week. Thanks for the teaser! I was planning on riding a loop I've already done (Fox Creek to Chocolate Gulch to Saddle trail) but this one looks like a lot more fun! I'm a little intimidated though...I'm a terribly slow climber and my fitness is garbage right now, but I'm gonna muddle through it. I'll be down there on the 1st. I'm doing Fisher Creek on the 30th.
Eric - Fox Creek/Chocolate Gulch/Saddle is a great loop, one of my go to's as well :) - Greenhorn/Imperial is stellar though, and I highly recommend it... definitely worth grinding through the tough climbing... it won't be as green and lush as it was in this vid, but hopefully you'll get some fall colors!! Ride on!
Excellent video, how many stream crossings? Prime early season to avoid water as I have a Giant Trance X E mtn bike, that doesn't like water. I'm in Park City, five hr drive any recommendations for lodging/camping with e power? The trail looks buff and I think Sun Valley dries out faster than some other tall mountains. It's true, Redfish/Stanley are special spots on Earth.
John, there's one main creek crossing but it has a bridge... otherwise, nothing major that I can remember... in terms of camping, tons of dispersed in the area, but not much in the way of electricity unless you stay at Smiley Creek or head into Stanley... ride on! Stuff is already starting to dry out nicely here in the south valley - ride on!!
Watched this a second time and when the music kicks in right after the six minute mark it's like a natural high watching you ride with amazing scenery. What is the name of that soundtrack and where can I download it? It's infectious and super motivating.
Live in Colorado, never been to Idaho but want to come visit! Way to spread positivity on the trail, it’s my formula as well. That and my bell are a pretty much fool proof method.👍🏻
Marc, I'll dig a little deeper... but there's a big moto community here, and I've been told that many of these singletrack trails were built 20-30 years ago by motocross advocates... they are all multi-use trails, so everyone benefits... there's over 400 miles of singletrack trails throughout the wood river valley... and these are just the tip of the iceberg...
I liked you until you said that trail is only 10 minutes from where you live then a deep envy took over so if you feel sharp pains in various parts of your body that is me putting pins in an effigy that I made. Jokes aside, I live in central London and we can only dream of riding such exciting trails. Thanks for making the effort, I would never have known such a place existed.
Lee, love ya man! In actuality, the trailhead is about 15 minutes from my door, so I exaggerated a little :) Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment!
ya it looked like rock creek on steroids a few weeks ago, when I shot it... now it looks like Ireland on steroids... it gets so green here, it's insane. Come visit so I can give you your jersey :)
Another Exceptionally Great video with spectacular scenery. Always Love the drone shots. And the soundtrack was just Terrific.
thanks, Richard - free music from the copyright free youtube library is pretty good :)
As always you’re the quintessential bike ambassador. Thanks for doing what you do!
Nathan, we miss you guys and seeing your strava of hiking Lundy really makes me miss the Eastside! Ride on :)

Thanks, Elevation! You should visit Idaho... if you ever make it to Hailey/Sun Valley area, hit me up - I'll share some trails with ya :)
Dirty Teeth MTB I will for sure man! Keep ‘em coming!
I'm curious about the origins of the trail. Do you know how it came into existence?
