This was the track that made me a fan of the band. A friend of mine had just bought that album when it came out and invited me to listen to it together, well, long story short i bought all the discography after that. Imposibility of reason is definitely my fav album of yours. It was my intro to this band and it will be something i will always carry with me wherever i go. Be that the album in cd form in -my car or the mp3 form in my cellphone and another album at home for my personal collection. Bless you guys. You shaped my taste in music.

One of my favorite and very first Chimaira songs I ever heard years ago! Iconic. Years later getting to perform it WITH Rob for the boot camp was such a great memory and experience I’ll never forget 🤟🤟. You rule RA! 🍻

Man, what I have always loved about you guys are the riffs, the grooves, the breakdowns & with you, your approach to solos. You have that art of showcasing skill with pleasant sounding, purposeful execution that some just don't have. It's the layers of the instrumental tracks too that just hooked me in. Hey Rob, great lesson! Thanks for sharing with your subscribers! I’m a huge fan of your old band Chimaira. It’s such a shame that you guys never made it out here to South Africa for a show or two. I would have loved to have seen you guys perform live. I have a request for a potential future video on your channel. Is it possible for you to do a video where you explain scales and their practical application when playing guitar ie. the pentatonic scale. As a guitarist, one of my biggest frustrations is that even though I can play guitar solos by other bands that I like, I’ve never been able to write and compose my own solos. It would be greatly appreciated if you could impart your knowledge on this topic and assist aspiring guitarists like myself with improving their skills. If I could be half as good as you, I’ll be a very happy man!😅 Hope you keep safe and well dude! Keep up the fantastic work on your channel!👍
Awesome Sudhir! I wish we could have made it down to South Africa as well man. I thiiiiiink the band did on the Crown of Phantoms cycle, but I obviously wasn't around for that one. I will consider putting together a soloing lesson video. Although in the past, what's prevented me from doing this, is that everyone is at different levels when it comes to their abilities, tastes, proficiency, etc. So it's difficult to wrap my head around how I'd want to approach a video like that. But I will begin thinking about it again, and see if I can cook something up. Cheers brother and thanks for all the support!🤘
Oh my god! One of the first Chimaira songs that I learned by ear! And I was did it correct all of the way! That was a very productive experience for me! God bless Chimaira! God, please, bring Chimaira back! P.S. So, you still use your RA-3 for the video. You promised to use RA-2 at least once!
Cant tell you how many time I listened to this song, the whole album tho,in high school on my gen 1 ipod with my long hair and ear buds hidden. Science, math, history, study hall
So nice to see you playing this song and a good job by Metal Injection for covering this song. And might I add they did a fine job. So many really cool notes for this song and I found it to be very enjoyable as always. Rob just maybe one day you and I could get to jam this song together. Every time I've watched your Quick riff series I found myself wishing that I could by there with you learning to play Chimaira songs. But as I don't have the money to buy a guitar right now, then I guess that I'll just have to enjoy watching your video's. Maybe on the next Quick riff series could you play Trigger finger from "The age of hell" album ? or anything from that album.
Right on Darren! Hopefully one day you'll come across enough cash to get yourself a sweet guitar! And I'll consider Trigger Finger! Thanks as always for tuning in bro!🤘
Aaaaaawesome lesson, and one friggin awesome Chimaira song!Kinda funny ,as i came home from a nice sunday drive...blasting some Chimaira in the car, Pray for All and Cleansation full on...turning on the computer..seeing you put up this video here.. made my sunday complete man.! Thaaanks :) I hope you are doing good. Greetings from TheCarVikingDrummer in Norway Ay ,Stefan :)
Nice song! Thanks for super detailed riffs explanation Rob! Can you make “Stigmurder” playthrough video or just film short video with main riff of this song?
TOTALLY expected this video after I saw the cover. Cleansation has always been one of my favourites and I remember The Impossibility of Reason dropping and being hooked instantly. Takes me back to Rock City Nottingnham on that tour. Good days! 🤟🏻
i totally saw this video before the cover, i said it there man, you guys need more love. and i totally forgot about the whole Deathcore thing .... another thing we wouldnt have with out chimaira lol sorry i got on a rant over there lol
you know Chimaira dont get the enough love. djent guys talk all day about "Bleed" but most of those bands just sound like pass out of exsitance with a different singer and some shreddy shred ... thats just me though ...... but really i cant really think of a band that was doing the whole NWOAM thing before them ... mabee lamb of god .... but thats like saying who is more important to thrash slayer or metallica and Rob Arnold did kind of bring back the guitar solo, iff you look at the bands that were up in comming around the 1998 to 2002 no one really did them ..... Chimaira's imposibility of reason comes out and from 2003 to 2006 it went from in 2002/2003 no did them and acctully was slightly frown apon , hell even metallica left solos off of st anger, to 2006 2007 when everyone was doing solos hell even slipknot started doing em ......... i guess all of this is up for debate but if we are going to have the whole "who brought back the solo" conversation , i dont think you can leave out Chimaira and rob arnold as a contributing factor.
@@RobArnoldWorld 100% mate, oddly enough buddy I decided to learn cleansation when I saw you guys perform it back in 04 at the hi fi bar Melbourne when you opened with it, what a show.... :)
Way back in 2005 my first band covered this. We played at a friends parents house for her 15th birthday. Setup in the garden, everything on 11 and the police turned up due to noise complaints. 😂🤘🏻
Every song from the album still sounds fresh and original after 18 years! But this still might be my favorite.. Thank you for the awesome content that you have been bringing us and keep up the good work! P.S Would it be possible to upload the infection DVD for all of us to enjoy?

It would be greatly appreciated if you could impart your knowledge on this topic and assist aspiring guitarists like myself with improving their skills.
If I could be half as good as you, I’ll be a very happy man!😅
Hope you keep safe and well dude!
Oh yeah! I forgot! I had just restrung the RA-3, so it was my go to for this vid. I'll break out the RA-2 soon!🎸
Cant tell you how many time I listened to this song, the whole album tho,in high school on my gen 1 ipod with my long hair and ear buds hidden. Science, math, history, study hall
1:00 I'd stomp a grandpa to this riff
@@RobArnoldWorld Your most welcome and many thanks once again for this weekends video. Take care and I'll see ya next weekend Rob. Have a nice week.

Thaaanks :) I hope you are doing good. Greetings from TheCarVikingDrummer in Norway Ay ,Stefan :)
Awesome Stef! Love to hear that man!🤘
Nice song! Thanks for super detailed riffs explanation Rob! Can you make “Stigmurder” playthrough video or just film short video with main riff of this song?
Thanks dude! Check out Everything You Love episode 01 for some Stigmurder riffage! 👉 ua-cam.com/video/XrH_YHlkZN0/v-deo.html
TOTALLY expected this video after I saw the cover. Cleansation has always been one of my favourites and I remember The Impossibility of Reason dropping and being hooked instantly. Takes me back to Rock City Nottingnham on that tour. Good days! 🤟🏻
Ahh! Rock City! Great memories from that club for sure!🤘
Nice lesson 🤘😝🤘 Those squeels tho😍🎸 Those riffs made me want to jam out to early chimaira again.lol.
Rock on!🤘
there is a great cover of this song on metal injection
I’m playing it right yay
Always love watching your videos n im a sub on Marks Twitch n said i love the connection yall have
Awesome thank you!
Kickass Rob as usual. Chimaira forever! A play through of Painting The White To Grey would be fuckin awesome.
Surprised to see the Crate. You make it sound great, awesome vid!
Thanks! I'm actually using the STL Tonehub plugin for this vid, but I know I could make the Crate sound great! haha
this one definitely slaps! hey next time do a play through of the heart of it all. please and thanks. love you
Yow Rob, happy to see the playthrough And that after that amazing cover they did for slay at home😎
i totally saw this video before the cover, i said it there man, you guys need more love. and i totally forgot about the whole Deathcore thing .... another thing we wouldnt have with out chimaira lol sorry i got on a rant over there
lol
you know Chimaira dont get the enough love. djent guys talk all day about "Bleed" but most of those bands just sound like pass out of exsitance with a different singer and some shreddy shred ... thats just me though ...... but really i cant really think of a band that was doing the whole NWOAM thing before them ... mabee lamb of god .... but thats like saying who is more important to thrash slayer or metallica and Rob Arnold did kind of bring back the guitar solo, iff you look at the bands that were up in comming around the 1998 to 2002 no one really did them .....
I appreciate the notion brother!👊
Rob I know I'm late to the BBQ for this one, but why don't you like neck pickups? Never use them for sweeping or any fast picking licks?
Just never found any use for them! Once and awhile I'll use one for clean stuff, but that's it.
Awesome!!!!
Sick mate.... Drop C is a beast of a tuning :) love these videos, even though I am a bass player
Right on! No reason not to jam along right?!🤘
@@RobArnoldWorld 100% mate, oddly enough buddy I decided to learn cleansation when I saw you guys perform it back in 04 at the hi fi bar Melbourne when you opened with it, what a show.... :)
@@thebog8693 Nice!
Way back in 2005 my first band covered this. We played at a friends parents house for her 15th birthday. Setup in the garden, everything on 11 and the police turned up due to noise complaints. 😂🤘🏻
Haha I love it!
Every song from the album still sounds fresh and original after 18 years! But this still might be my favorite.. Thank you for the awesome content that you have been bringing us and keep up the good work!
P.S Would it be possible to upload the infection DVD for all of us to enjoy?
Man I'd love to upload The Infection documentary, but the label won't allow it. I've tried, but it immediately gets blocked. Bummer I know!
It’s hilarious rob, you teach guitar just like if we were learning songs in the band room. Players teacher👊👊. Just makes sense.
Haha game recognize game eh?🤘
That was absolutely brutal! Man, I now wish I were your bass player. Haha.
Haha sick! Check THIS one out! 👉 ua-cam.com/video/v-5Duffmd5U/v-deo.html
Good tips man 🤘🏻I teach my sons that way too 1234 up and down the board,..repetition works👊🏼
Awesome! Your boys are in good hands!🤘
Sick stuff as usual Rob! 🤘🎸
I was wondering if you could possibly do a quick riffs lesson on Resurrection?
I'll keep it in mind!🤘
@@RobArnoldWorld :)
Amazing as always, man, for me, TIOR is the best Chimaira album. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
