I got this about two months ago..As far as im concerned it works outstanding. I smoked two turkey's for thanksgiving and sliced the breasts on one for cold cuts, did a black forest ham and sliced it also. Sliced my homemade bread, and also a canadian bacon I made. Its a little bit of cleaning but not bad, and I pick a day and slice everything I have to for the month in one shot. So far Im Happy with the purchase and the price..
We love it also. Getting ready to do another batch of jerky and some Christmas cold cuts. Definitely a nice machine for home use. Glad to hear others are enjoying theirs. Thanks for watching.
Thank you so much for always sharing your time with us, I so busy and I love you videos, thank you again , I hope you continue doing this wonderful videos 😊
I've worked with slicers like yours for years. You'll like it. For a quick clean up between slice jobs, close the blade and use a hot water, wet towel, on the blade while spinning
This one is pretty close to a commercial one and we really like it. That is a good idea for cleaning up quick between items. This machine is worth it just for making jerky. Can't wait for a nice roast beef on the grill thinly sliced. Thanks for watching.
My dad owned a deli and we sliced everything on the big Hobart slicer with auto drive as a slicing option. Every employee except me working longer than a year was bitten by the slicer. Depended what was being sliced and how thick, slicing procutto the best but 1/4 inch tomatoes OUCH. The common theme was a customer would ask a question and turning around to answer and not stopping, the lack of concentration did it.
That's what scares me. Any distractions could cause serious cuts. I didn't think about trying it with tomatoes. That would make dehydrating them go faster. We have a wonderful italian store about 45 minutes away and I want to run up and fet some of their homemade salami to try slicing. Thanks for watching.
HI - I'm so glad you are doing this review. I am about to buy one after Christmas. RE: removing blade - I saw a previous video that showed you can wheel in 2 knobs from the back on the blade itself to lift off after the hub is initially removed - the knobs then go into those 2 holes to lift off. that sold me - and now I will get those gloves too!
It worked great after some initial adjustments. No real instructions for the sharpener but just a light touch should keep it sharp. The hex driver picks the blade off easily but screw in handles would be better. I definitely recommend good cut proof gloves. The pair I got fit really nice and are food grade level 9 protection thay may be overkill but you don't want to take chances with a couple pound razor sharp plate. I have to do another batch of jerky next week and this machine does a perfect job slicing it. It's perfect for home use without spending a fortune. Don’t forget to use the extra 5% off coupon. Thanks for watching.
thank you, appreciate the feedback. From what I remember, those 2 threaded holes were able to receive these 2 knobs from the back of the machine somewhere - I am definitely getting the gloves you recommend when I make the purchase and thanks for the 5%! Merry Christmas!@@unemployedredneckhillbilly2023
Thanks. It's great to not have to worry about making a mess. Really nice to have a prep area now. It is a really good batch of jerky. Thanks for watching.
HI 👋, I hope you are all keeping safe and well, That looks like a great machine, though you did have to do a bit of fettling work on it to bring it to perfection, well done, 👍, This brings back memories to me, believe it or not, when I had just left school, I started helping out in the local shop in the village, they had one of these machines, obviously a lot larger, industrial size , And the manager actually trained me how to use it how to clean it how to sharpen it, and it was my job first thing in the morning specially on a Monday prepping meat for the meat counter, Mr Anderson, his name was, not sure whether I should say this or not, but he was a bit of a latch, we had a one-way mirror in the office, on the other side of it was a large, fridge freezer, dinner times, he would always making sure that it was near the two way mirror, as they were young RAF ladies used to come down to pick up bits of food for their other dinner or evening meal, they would have to bend over into the freezer, he would call me , to have a look 👀, 😂, one day there was a elderly lady, that I knew was going to go to the freezer, she was quite often asked me or whoever was about to get something for out of the freezer, Mr Anderson was upstairs, so I called him to come down and have a look through the one-way mirror, 😂 obviously he was hoping for a young lady to be leaning into the freezer, 😂, I cannot say what he said to me, but it was a big laugh and a joke afterwards, going back to the slicing machine, I seem to recollect that there was special trays that fitted on the side where the meat dropped down, one end of it was higher than what the other end was, and they were marked up for the relative meats to be put into, Great idea of gloves, 🧤, for safety, I could even use a piece of greaseproof paper and catch two or three slices coming off the machine, as sometimes people wanted various different thicknesses of meat, et cetera, Especially when it came to gammon bacon, Another great territorial , I would imagine that Vevor sales increase dramatically over the next week or so, Stay safe, keep up the great work, nice to see all your countertops, all nice and clean, I didn’t see anything moving around this time, apart from some strange noises, Phil from the moulin
It is a good working machine. My first real job was in a small-town grocery store and we had a lot of fun with the. customers. That clicking you head could be the 3d printer running in the background. I have had it rumnning constantly since getting it to see how it lasts. This time off year many are processing deer they shot and hopefully this video will show those looking for a machine like this how it works and that it may need a little tuning up to get perfect results like just about every machine these days. I don’t see big sales from videos like this usually just the couple. of people that asked about it. I think Vevor actually is just trying to get their name out there with videos and likes the idea I show long term use in future videos. Thanks for watching.
That model is way better than their cheapest 7.5 inch Vevor slicer that I bought a while back. Mine did not come with any extra parts. And it is surely not as powerful as your model though it works really well for the price range. I usually don't buy the cheaper version of appliances, ut I did not know how much I will be using it. I confess, I have not gotten it out very often. But if I had a second kitchen like yours I would use it more often. I haven't tried onions or other veggies. This will be perfect for use in your second kitchen. Now I will try making jerky! I see you use Cabela's mix?
I was surprised how nice this machine worked. Did need a little fine tuning and it does a great job. Will really speed up the cube steaks and pork steaks. We don't do many cold cuts but I think this would also work good for them. We find for best results on the blackstone thin cutting allows things like onions to caramelize in minutes. Easier and faster for me to use then the mandolin. We prefer just a mild jerky that doesn't have a lot of hot pepper so have settled on the Cabelas seasoning and pick it up at the Bass Pro over in Auburn but its available online also. I like it thinner and chewy but you can go up to about 1/4 inch if you let it marinate longer. I think it will be a handy machine to have around. Cleaning does take a little time but is fairly easy with the big sink we have now. Thanks for watching.
So far it has been a great machine. Be sure to fiddle with that guide plate so it is parallel to the blade if it is off like mine and every cut will be perfect. Hope you enjoy yours. Thanks for watching.
I like to use the hex driver and gloves for removal and washing. Those knobs would work but get them wet and probably slippery and off balance. Great machine. Thanks for watching.
Funny I was looking for a meat slicer and was searching this brand. Your video came up and I was already subscribed to your channel. I was like oh I must of missed this video! The meat slicer is about $100 cheaper than others online this is why I’m thinking of getting this! Thanks for the video!
Mine is really nice. As you saw the fence needed some aligning and there is a tiny nick in the blade but that doesn't affect the cut and will sharpen out over time. Seems like a really nice machine for the money. Use the 5% off code to save some more if you decide to get one. It is perfect for jerky and slicing pork loins for the cube steaks. Worst part is cleaning it up. Thanks for watching.
@@unemployedredneckhillbilly2023 yeah plan on making jerky from the deer we got this year. Plus wouldn’t mind making dog treats for the dog with chicken when it goes on sale. Also great idea for vegetables from the garden to slice. I bet dehydrating vegetables would be easier since they are all uniform cuts!
You have to try this korean jerky recipe - it's the best ever! Cut at angle about 2 inch wide x 5 inch long strips. Mix marinade thoroughly into meat. Coat all sides of meat. Dehydrate in dehydrator.
VEVOR........after buying and returning the 10 inch slicer, due to poor manufacturing of several parts on the machine.........I purchased the 8 inch VEVOR slicer from a different retailer. So far, my review of the 8 inch slicer is that it is just average. BTW I did not receive any spare parts listed on the less than worthless instruction sheet, that came with my slicer and contacting the supplier only got me the run around............Oh and BTW calling this a commercial grade slicer, is a stretch of that definition...........just saying.
We love ours and haven't had any problems. Did another batch of jerky, sliced a pork loin for cube steaks, and sliced a eye round thin for chese steaks on the griddle. Just a little filing on the fence as I showed and it cuts perfectly. I wouldn't be afraid to use this in a small deli. If you want real commercial duty, look at the hobarts and brands like that. For about $2,500.00 you can get a good one that will last forever. First complaint I have heard about this machine other then shipping damage caused by UPS rough handling. Surprised they didn’t just replace the original one because mine has been a great machine so far. The 8 inch one is good for occasional use, but I wouldn't want to slice a 5 pound eye round with it. I was able to loosen the screws where it attaches to the arm and shift it some. Also square it up with thecam follower on the bottom. Thanks for watching.

I have no idea how to adjust that. I would contact Vevor if it's new. First check that the sharpener is rotated to the back and its adjusted up so it is not contacting the blade. That jerky is awesome. We love the Cabelas spice package. real thick could be problems if the onions are crispy. They need enough flexibility to bend around the back of the blade. Thanks for watching.
You should shave some steak to make steak and cheese subs on your blackstone. I'm from MA and the popular meat here to shave is top sirloin which is $9/lb at Market Basket.
That will be easy to try with this. Wouldn't that ruin the sirloin? It's best medium rare on the Weber with the flavorful juices. Amazing how the price of beef has soared. Thanks for watching.

@@unemployedredneckhillbilly2023 just like a Philly cheesesteak, cooked all the way thru salt, pepper (crazy salt) melted american or provolone. I think most use ribeye in Philly.
Beef higher here in midwest
I unpaked it today... and it smells so much plastic🙈 how can i clean this befor start to cut meat? Only soap and warm water?
I used hot water and Dawn dish detergent. Took it apart and removed the blade to get at everything. As I showed check the alignment of that backguide to the blade and get that parallel for best results. Thanks for watching.
Who smacking their lips in the background I’m hard of hearing, but it’s driving me crazy
UA-cam processing after uploading did something to cause that on several videos. The original was clean. Thanks for watching
