Being there that high up in a spot where so many others perished, sharing that same view they had in their last moments. I'm sure it resonates with alot that decide to take this tour and go up .. I Would personally love to visit NYC one day and pay my respects.

That’s exactly what I had in mind when I went up there last July. Looking down at those foot prints where the original towers once stood, knowing that this was the exact location and exact height and exact view the jumpers had before being forced out of the building due to the hot toxic smoke and raging inferno of fire. It’s very surreal.
Definitely, we all know how the towers looked from the ground, but never thought what the people inside could see. Which is the beautiful new york skyline
I remember seeing a vid someone recorded on the old wtc where u could buy pics of yourself falling from it. Very different world then.

Moving. Awesome. I was a little kid and I went up to Top of The World observation deck in the old South Tower in around 1976. I even peeked into Windows on the World restaurant in the North Tower in the 70's also. Maybe I will go up to this tower one day so I can have gone up in both towers. Just as a gesture of defiance for the people that died so that they know we will never forget.

I still say the original windows of the world and exposed rooftop observatory beats whatever they have now. I’ve never been up either one but from what I’ve seen in videos, the old towers def did it way better… this just looks like a crappy digital version… nice views none the less for sure but, the old buildings had way more character

If 2WTC ever gets built, I'd love if they did an open air observatory
I highly doubt it will have one. Like at the Vessel at Hudson Yards, someone would pay to attempt to leap off it. That's the last thing that site needs.

I was a little annoyed when they started another movie on the 102st floor. Didn't know they would open the blinds like that revealing the view. It was goosebumps all over. Thanks for sharing this vid to take me back to this moment. And really urge to not watch this video if you are planning to go there 😅

I sometimes wonder had the Twins be standing today, what was their renovated Observatory experience would look like today? I bet something neat like this. Even the Sears Tower experience was amazing.

Just went today. It was SO COOL to look out and see to almost the back of manhattan. And just looking out until you couldn’t see any farther.

Then you watch the original World Trade Center tour videos and everyone’s so happy and nice and it seems so peaceful.
This one just seems dark and new age and not right all at the same time..

im from queens nyc and my college is not that far from there i want to do this on my lunch break this video will be helpful to see if i can get over my fear of heights to see if i can do this or not very uselful video

They kind of missed the point by not having an outdoor observatory.
It would have been nice actually. It felt a bit limiting. Atleast there are other observatories which have an outdoor areas I guess.
If I worked there, I'd be sure to have my own parachute nearby at all times.
Parachutes would not really even have helped, although yeah, I would definitely have tried it over nothing but I was thinking about that, but for the same reason they couldn’t lower buckets down, it would just bang into the building/fire.
I would go visit and pray a lot but I don’t think I would have the nerve to work there every day. I don’t think it says easy of a target with the current design I think it would be confusing to the “pilot” and with the skinnier parts on top of all the reflection but despite all the more safety measures than even before… I honestly just don’t know if I would be brave enough or if I would be thinking about it too much. That’s the day we never forget. I think the # IsMoreForTheYoungerGenerationIsComingUpAndInTheFuture. I don’t see how anyone who was old enough to remember, could ever forget.

I hope I can someday visit the observatory, sadly I wasn't able to do it on my first and maybe last time in NYC, because of pressure on the ears and how that would hurt really bad. So I'm not going to watch the video for the possibilty of me someday visiting it myself. I still appreciate that you took the effort to film and upload the tour. So I'm atleast going to like the video and maybe subscribe.
Interesting that they put something by the windows so you can't sit there anymore. You could when it first opened. It was actually nice sitting there and looking north at the rest of Manhattan.

in the old world trade center people could go out at the top of one of the towers... there, it's just observatory where the person is behind glass. Sad.
Great video i love the new freedom towel love to go see it but the ones who lost their life that day was the saddest day of my life to see people jumping out the windows to keep from getting burned up and the ones who died when the building caved in and went down its just a day i will never forget

Don't really need a tour...just wait in line for elevator, and do your own tour. Thats what i did. Then go to the bar, have a beer, and enjoy the view 😉
Man the difference in the Technology is absolutely insane from the old towers to these new towers ive heard there building one just like it but a little bigger
I remember cutting school omw to Manhattan on 9/11 and the train stations shutting down because the buildings were falling ...now its in my kids history book smh crazy rip to all those people especially the babies omg smh

At the beginning you can see it briefly 55$ or 65$ premium, and I don't think they mean Canadian dollars!

Now whenever Al-Qaeda made their plans on the WTC and Pentagon attacks (4th one most certainly in my opinion was probably going to hit the White House) they did have plans originally for the US Bank Tower in Los Angeles before Osama Bin Laden said no to the idea. So that could still be a possibility for a target, Sears Tower in Chicago (maybe even the John Hancock Center there too), the Empire State Building, and I’d even argue they might try to go for the Chrysler Building also. These terrorists don’t play around, they want to hit iconic targets that means so much in American history and in some cases world history like Sears Tower and Empire State Building.

I didn't like it... when we visit a place, we want to see the landscape with our own eyes in an analogue way and not as a projection onto a screen.
Do you mean before you enter? Or the elevator?
Was this the Standard tickets?
It was the combination experience. With that we got through security faster and had use of a priority elevator. Also weren’t charged to use the digital explorer (ipad) but didn’t really use that much.

It’s directly across the street from where the North Tower stood.
Just across the road. Where the old towers stood are where the memorial pools are.
Sad that they never build 2 WTC in it's original concept, or twin to the OWTC

I remember going to the old wtc I might have been eight years old in 1995 and we went up on the roof and looked at the city it was a beautiful view I miss the twin towers 😢

this view of New York made me sad, the city is ugly, the view you have from the Observatory is of a dead city, without humanity, without nature, just the gray or brown of the concrete... it's a sad sight.
