it is like having a hero from childhood talking right to his fans. Total happy
Exactly!
If we had UA-cam back in the 70's we wouldn't have needed songs explaining that it's all a Grand Illusion... it's easy for famous people to show that they are really real people now.
Desert Moon is one of the best songs every recorded.
Ive been playing that almost every day,, Desert moon, Call me, Mr Roboto, Best of time, First Time, Dont let it End, Babe,.
I dont like new Styx without DDY,,
Thanks Dennis love 26 east volume 1 can't wait for volume 2 keep up the good work. Also can hardly wait to see you again. I pray God's Blessings on you and your family and the Band. Always good to see you on here. Keep it coming. We all need this.💜🙏🇺🇸
"The world is up side down....baby I know" etc. I think we have a song there.
Yes Dennis you rocked & still are rocking and that makes me very happy! 👏👏👏🎵🎼🎶💌

Need a tour of the amazing wall behind You
I know that is my comment too!
Every record on the wall behind Dennis has a wonderful story to it. How cool it would be for him to one day tell us, giving us a video tour.
I'm glad your still here or there and I'm still here 😊💕
We all look forward to hearing from you, dennis. Hope your well
One of my two favorite albums of 2020 -- 26 EAST VOL 1
I was WONDERING where he went. Good to see him back!
Hi Dennis yes you do matter ,hopefully you can sing about rocking out and making people feel happy again, I do enjoy hearing from you , and yes its good to take time to figure this out
:) how could we eva be tired of such talent ? Many blessings...
Hi from Canada ... Hi Dennis .... ... love your songs ... love your friendly talking and stories ..... keep it coming 👍👍👍👍 Chris
I have to say, Dennis, that I love listening to you talk. I could listen to you for hours! You are a legend, sir!
Dennis, thank you for this video. I needed some uplifting. I worked as a concert runner and promoter rep in college in Buffalo . Now I’m 55 , my kid graduated from college and Ed Van Halen is gone. I worked a few shows on 5150 I was the personal slave for their tour manager, the infamous Bob Daitz.( he’s been around you may know of him)There is a Buffalo, NY connection to VH but I won’t get into it. I have met you many times , sir. I even remember your wife, Suzanne the Great, carrying baby Matthew. Please, please stay well🇺🇸❤️
Cheers Dennis! From, the Rockies of Utah.🍻
You make me miss my hometown Chicago. ❤️ U
Looking forward to volume two. I love these videos. You crack me up. I read everything you write on Facebook. Thanks so much for all your music and keeping us laughing through this tough Time Of Our Lives.
I remember the first time I heard Desert Moon. I was x-teen years old and on vacation in Montana. The local station would play it every morning around 6. I couldn’t believe my ears. It was nice to wake up to that song every morning.
You are the best! Love you love your music. Take care and stay safe.
Good to see and hear from you again.
I just like this guy. He, like Stan Lee, is someone I always wanted to meet, not just because of their art, but because they come off as a fun person to visit.
Dennis DeYoung I can hardly wait to see your new videos, thank you very much👍😉❤
It is so good to see Dennis is healthy and still has his awesome voice.
Dennis you will always bring happiness to all your fans. We know it comes from your heart and you are a genuine down to earth person.
Thank you so much for these videos
Desert moon done by you was the best.... Your awesome
Love you Dennis. Long time fan. You have all ways made me smile. Then cry. I sing your songs at work. People ask me who sang that song. Young people. I tell them. Check him out on UA-cam. You can see hear a lot. Thank you for still being you.
Thanks for doing this Dennis. I've always loved your sense of humor!
I played the hell out of that Boomchild tape back in the day, just a great group of songs. 7 of 8 are Bangers
One of the best voices I have ever heard, please sing Desert Moon. Greeting from Costa Rica.
Thanks for coming on and talking to us, Mr. DeYoung. Shaking your hand at the Styx concert in 1996 in Nashville is definitely a life highlight. I will definitely check out some of the older videos from your solo work. ("Boys Will Be Boys" is a guilty pleasure)
Thanks Dennis! Just listened to an interview with Jim Peterik (you guys are great together). Keep on making great music - We need it!
Thank you so much Dennis! I'm not worn out, in fact I'd been recently wondering where you've been! Hope you're enjoying life :)
Love the new music! Always look forward to hearing updates from you on your UA-cam channel.
Loved desert moon Dennis! My 1st Styx cassette was Caught in the act live! Wore the tape out! Haha. " Hey everybody it's music time". Great to have ya with us Brother! Love ya! God Bless
Would love to hear the story of the Desert Moon video, one of my favorite videos ever, really love that song. Listed to it like crazy back in the day but it took getting old to really understand and feel it.
God I love this. The paper towel roll...omg...Dennis you are the best.
Wish I had known you were recording these videos in 2020. It would have made everything so much better! I'm glad I've found them now, but I want MORE!
Dennis, we used to call the paper towel or toilet paper rolls "doh doh's" my grandmother taught us that and every friday i go to august zadra's page and watch his free online 3 hour show for the last 21 weeks. wonderful time. sending love from buffalo, ny
When I was a teenager, I fantasized you were my uncle... lol, but I love you music and I am glad you are doing well, and are making new music! Thank you for being there!
Love your video updates, we could never get tired of seeing you! Thanks for your humor and wisdom and can't wait for the new music!!
Hi Dennis
I’m playing your music in my grade 8 class this term. I want my class to hear your amazing voice. I make them listen to Elvis, Frank and now you. I’m retiring in June after 30 years of teaching. I’m not rich, but I would pay you as much as I can afford to have you sing don’t let it end to my class on my last day. Dreams do come true.
Sam
Babe and Desert Moon are my favorite songs from Dennis DeYoung.
Played Cornerstone and Paradise Theatre on vinyl today, so good man :)
Dennis keep posting. We love to hear your thoughts, ideas, history, perspectives, and even the Jerry Lewis imitations. You and your "Lady" changed my world in 1975 and Nicole, Veronika, and I feel the day brighten every time we hear your songs and posts. Thanks for being a major part of our musical journey through life.
I prefer the gray hair and no lipstick! :) But it's nice to see some famous people actually making videos and uploading them.
Song request..... PIECES OF EIGHT!
yeah. The lipstick is really weird.
@@sageunknown6307 In what way ?
I didn't notice any lipstick..are you saying he has on lipstick? If he did that would be so rock and roll!
I just watched again I don't see any lipstick are you talking about a different video?
Dennis I'm happy anytime you upload! I wish you did more of these! Keep rocking in paradise 👊🏻
So glad you're here, Mr. DeYoung.
Oh Dennis...come on here anytime! I love listening to what you are doing. I’m glad you are posting your videos! I became a DD fan when you started your solo career...back in the early days of MTV videos. One request...sing a little something when you post!!!! Love your voice! Say “hello” to Suzanne.
Most everyone has a band that just connects more than others. Styx has been that for me. I'm the one who hums "Pieces of 8" while doing chores and sings " nothing ever goes as planned" in the shower. Even my coffee table is a Fender Rhodes touring case that belonged to Styx at one time. Thanks for all the great music and for being that soundtrack in my life.
Please talk to us! Some of us love it! Some of us are HAPPY to watch long videos - it makes us feel like we are at one of your live shows. I didn't get the notifications because UA-cam decided to change the setting to Personalized (which means they tell me NOTHING) So i fixed it back to ALL and now I'll know. Hello to Suzanne - love seeing her at your shows too. DDY - forever!
...Once with Styx...always with Styx...if 'only' in spirit...and shared love of epic tunes thru the 1970s and 1980s and beyond....
Desert moon is probably the most important video of my youth I was going through a hard break up with my first major girlfriend and of course the video made me more depressed😂😂😂 But it helped in someway
Always a pleasure to see you and hear you Dennis, I will never stop thanking you for music at every opportunity! I do have a personal request if I may be so bold, I would love, love, love to hear “Beneath The Moon” and also your duet with Jim Peterik “To Miss Somebody”... thank you again and again! 😎
More of these videos please! It’s like sitting down and chatting with an old friend.
Please don't stay away too long - we missed you.
Dennis, I'm a Chicago boy I love you and the music of Styx, I grew up on your songs brother.
I also saw you at Summerfest. Get out there Brother and play somewhere, anywhere. Come and play at a small venue in Wisconsin, we're open for business! Covid is 90% B.S.
Great channel! Long time fan! Use to play the living daylights out of my favorite Styx albums! My wife and I used “Paradise” as our wedding song! Ex Wife so feel free to forward the copyright infringement bill to her. Anyway..Keep up the good work and good deeds! Jason (New York)
Good for the soul to see Dennis upload on here! I hope he does go through and tells the stories of his music videos someday!
More live performances on this channel please! Thanks for posting it makes my day!!
I was literally listening to the Brave New World album on the way home tonight, and enjoying the heck out of High Crimes and Misdemeanors... Boom Time for Wall Street Dreamers indeed! Keep us rocking, sir!
Just an amazing personality and incredible talent......tonight the night we make history!
You had half of the stage presence in the band, and JY had half of what was left. Not to diminish Tommy's musical talent, but you did own that stage. I can't see Styx without you up there. Thanks for giving us way we can still connect with you.
Bring it on Dennis. :) The more the better. Would love to see a live version of Black Wall.
Glad you're back AND glad you posted those videos! Dennis - we never tire of you bro. When you post new videos - we'll be here. I know some videos of people I like I might miss for a day or two after its posted, but eventually I find out its there and I pop in. So yeah - we're always here - some of us may have to catch up. Its great to hear from you - it makes us feel you are regular people, with the exception of being cooler than most - hahaha. And you are, the coolest!
I've been a fan since the '70's
Hell to the no! We want to see and hear you. You're talented, silly, sincere and fun! We love you!
I have always loved every song you made from my teen years til now
I went to all the Styx when I was 14 yrs old. 5' '9' and long dark hair and 125 lbs soaking wet. But I got in and loved all of them. You are much more forgiving than I would be in your situation.
Dear Dennis, I want you to know how happy your music has made me over the years Even today Your new music IS the sound of STYX I have grown to love You have given me something to look forward to in this sad time for music The uniqueness of your voice in a time when everyone else sounds the same is music to my ears Love to you, your wife and the rest of your family
When you sang Best of Times six months ago, it brought me to tears. I went back and listened to so much of your music, some I’d forgotten. Took me to a much better time. You are such an enchanting person, so kind and wonderful. Thank you for being so giving and lifting spirits. Loved hearing from you again!!
Don’t Wait for Heroes is fantastic! Would love to see that worked back into the live set list.
Loved your back loved the video package can’t wait to see you touring again wish I could meet you in person and tour your studio looks so awesome take care stay safe be well till next time.ps keep making your videos you are so positive I love that
Some good suggestions in the comments below: Tell us your life story. Give us a tour of your HQ. And I would add - tell us how you developed and maintained your voice! The work you put into it is obvious - as you're Broadway-level in terms of technical achievement!
Thank you sir! Good to see you.
love your music Dennis
Can you please sing " the first time" sometime in one of your live vids ? Much appreciated 🙏
Thanks Dennis
From Colorado
So good to hear from you! Love the videos and the songs; it is like going back in time thinking of the moments when I heard those songs a half a lifetime ago. We were blessed with great soundtracks to our lives thanks to musicians like you and so many others. Stay well and give us some shouts now and then. It brightens the crazy times we are living. Cheers!
I adore you. I don't care about your age..
Heck, I'm 60. It's just a number. But music is music, & your talent has NOT faded. So here I am! When are you going on tour??? I'd love to come see you & your band!
So Cool to See you Talk straight to us ..Mr Dennis
Thank you for talking about "it", and for not pretending that we aren't in the Twilight Zone. I am grateful for the beauty which still exists in our world, namely, connecting and exchanging thoughts ideas and emotions, interactions and communications with many good people, which includes you and your sharing your thoughts and your art. Thank you!
If you pop out about once a week, people will love that and follow.
Hi Dennis! Been listening to your classic songs these past few days. Yesterday I learned to play it first time in piano "Desert Moon and Babe" I feel so proud , happy and emotional while playing it in piano : ) Your songs were absolutely beautiful and classic,, I love the melody of all your songs : ) You are an amazing singer, performer and you are so good in playing the piano!
Always great to hear from you Dennis....Don't worry about any nay-sayers....you put up whatever you want, as long as you need it to be to get your message across....I thought all the background info you gave on the "With All Due Respect" video was fascinating...and looking forward to info like that on other videos and concerts you've done!! Thanks for helping to keep us all sane during this madness...
Dennis, thanks so much for the music, this commentary and the stories.
Your the best Dennis!
😂 You're so funny! Could never get tired of you! Haven't seen Karate Kid 2, but now we will! It's awesome that your song is on that video!

You are Styx. Thank you for your music.
I wished that I could have met you when you played in Oak Ridge.
I love the wall behind you Dennis, how about a video tour of all the items on the wall?
Enjoy your videos.......loved your concert in LA on UA-cam here...keep making then
glad you're back
Hey Dennis, thanks for sharing these songs! "This is the Time" is my second favorite song of your solo career behind Desert Moon. Great vocals! Was going to see you in Nashville, IN if not for the cancellation due to Covid-19. Once again, thanks for the music from a long time fan!
He's a ripper fella. Fame has done nothing to his attitude. Great guy
