As an Arab of Palestinian origins, I am very tired of the whole region being engulfed in conflict. For the region to thrive all the people living there need to make an attempt at some sort of peace. I know it all sounds wishwashy and hippie-like but I am positive it will happen. Jews and Muslims lived together peacefully in the past and it seems a lot of Muslim Israelis are integrated into Israeli society, I don't see why peace cannot be achieved in the future once political corruption in the region is fixed.
You are strangely the only Palestinian I've seen on these comment sections that view the situation with some necessary nuance, very odd and very progressive, not many Zionists think this either. Please tell me if many Palestinians (and perhaps Jews) you know think like you do?
As another Palestinian with similar views I can tell you that a big chunk of the problem stems from fundamentalist religious ideologues from both sides. A big help to our problems would be proper education and a mutual understanding of each others viewpoints.
You will find that Christian/Muslim Israelis are not integrated into Israeli society but are segregated and live in a kind of purgatory whose future is still in dispute. Palestinian Israelis are classified as "resident alien" and can never be included in a state that openly defines itself as not theirs. The problem isn't political corruption. The problem is an ideology that can only survive by denying people basic human rights.

Compact Jam no,it was a british mandate that was meant to be one until the jewish people of the area of "palestine" will build their own goverment, which will have an arab state(notice how even in the UN it was called arab) next to it. Of course it didn't happend since both the 4 surrouding states and the arabs that lived in the land which is now israel attacked, meaning that the UN plan never came out,and the ones to blame for that are the arabs. BTW,Hitler had a strong "friendship" with the religous leader of the arabs in mandate "palestine" because they both hated jews.
Compact Jam no,it wasn't a country, saying that is wrong since it was a mandate,if there was a country there than the british mandate would not have been needed. Do you actauĺly believe that the arab states want law and order? Because saying that is like saying that those countries have full equal rights to all people. And they had their chance of building a palestinian state, but jordan and egypt occupied the gaza strip and the west bank, with no intention of building a palestinian state. By the way the term palestinian to describe an arab living in mandate "palestine" existed only since 1967.

The only thing I can say is that they are treated way better than at any of their "brothers"
countries and, if anybody doubts it, just ask any them whether they would like to move to any of these countries.....and watch their answer....
Not long ago, in view of the murderers of the two Israeli policemen at the Temple Mount having come from the Arab-Israeli town of Uhm-el_Fahm, Israel Defense Minister stated it
would be advisable to hand over the town to the Palestinian Authority, to which the people
unanimously answered the equivalent to "OUR DEAD BODIES"...!!!!!

was Palestine a country before Israel was created?
julio dominguez-palacios nope
