I sported a bob for years! From a stylist named Bob. All kinds. With bangs, without bangs, different lengths, angles, colours. So much fun. I’ve got a neglected pixie right now and am finally starting to get some gray. My hair is naturally dark brown so it’s really visible now. Thinking about growing it long for the first time in my life at 53.
People can do what they want of course but my opinion is some of the revamps of more vintage cuts can be aging on a middle aged or older person. A 21 yr old fresh and youthful would look good with any daring cut, mullet, shag, 70s Stevie Nicks look. Like the photos in the video, those are college age young models. The same cut on an older person it can be more aging, depending on whatever the trend is for the under 25 crowd, hits different when middle aged
Hi. I just want to say thank you, thank you, thank you. I was tired of the same annoying long hair and wanted to hack it off. I searched short hair and found your Hailey Bieber hair cut video this weekend and went to the hair cutting school close to me today (Monday 5/1). With a senior price only $9.60. The girl did a fabulous job and I am so happy. I absolutely love it. Thank you so much and have a wonderful day.
Sorry I'll get a edgy cut and I am super into having tons of color all over but I can't do the mullet that cut is for Joe Dirt only. I am going to be getting my left side undercut and having a long asymmetrical pixie....I am attempting this myself wish me luck. I can color hair and haven't met a technique that scares me yet but cutting freaks me out
shags cannot really work on me, my hair is so straight that whan i tried the curly girl method a few years back, my hair came out even more straight than usual
I've had so many clients with straight hair use Hairstory New Wash + Undressed spray and get wavy hair. If your hair is super straight though, you can still wear a shag as long as your hair pushes forward and you get bangs and crown layers! This is the link to Hairstory if you'd like to try it (you get 15% off your first purchase): bit.ly/3BmiAut
Should thinning shears be used on fine hair? The last haircut I had the hairdresser used thinning shears and my hair actually looked thicker, but frizzy??
What do you suggest for a gal with very, Very, VERY, fine hair. I got a short on sides, long on top cut last July. I looked like a man. NO hair anywhere on my neck. It's May now and it's only close to my chin now and a little longer in the back. I feel like no one in my area is good with fine hair. I don't care how flat is on the sides, but I can't handle NO VOLUME on top. It's just about long enough to pull up and add a hair piece. (clip on bun). I have a pony tail of a toddler. :(
Oof that’s an extreme cut. Sounds like you’re going through a grow out phase which is not always the most flattering. Volume on top is all about the products you use. You need volumizing mousse or spray like undressed and blowdry up, then use Hair Powder on dry hair to give even more volume.
I hate getting a bob, You say nature dont do wrong, well on me a bob makes me look like an old hag. I cant do alot of styling products cause my hair falls down. So my texture will not show when the hair is chopped bluntly. I love texture hair and I have had shags since the 80is in different variations and it just suits me the best and bring back my wavey hair, but my hair can be straight or wavy depending on how the hair feels, because it usually is never the same way everyday, hence for me shags are best, when its blunt cut it just look flat and cling to my head like a wet beanie at first and move into a pyramide later , growing out in a triangle
Please make videos for growing out and trimming our own "anti-aging" bad haircut. I got 3 bad haircuts back to back in an attempt to cut off all my damaged hair. I have fine hair. I like the bob that has no bangs and has a slight chin length flip. I am sure it has to have a couple of long layers. I am still at about 3 inches of hair all over my head and have trimmed my own hair only once since December, 2022. I am terrified to get another professional cut. I see how the UA-cam demonstrations go for anti-aging. The client looks life a shorn sheep by the time they get finished. I am pretty good at asking for what I want, but after 3 times of not getting it, I feel quite burned. Hairdressers need to stop with the so-called anti-aging butcher cut

I UNFORTUNATELY AGREE
Love the shag since the 70’s😊
It's the coolest

I love your taste and philosophy about hair. :) I completely agree!
Great video - I would love an edition of haircuts to get for 55+ years olds.
Still the same! Hair doesn't know age. You can be 65 or 80 and still rock a bob, a mullet or long layers!

Loved this! Thx Lina!
Glad you enjoyed it!
The shag began pre-pandemic in the bay area and I believe it was Jayne Mathew’s who brought it back with her razor cuts
Yes agreed and I do reference her work, but it really took off when Miley did it too!
Can you tell me which products you used in this video? I can never find something that will hold as well. My texture is very similar to yours.
Just styled with a flat iron and some Hair Balm from Hairstory! Use my link to get your 15% off your first purchase: bit.ly/3BmiAut
In the UK we call it a “covid haircut”. It means, a haircut you do yourself, at home, with the kitchen scissors.
Pretty much this!!

Ditto the mulllet. I have to gag a little.

Ooh I don’t recommend them. I use texturing shears sometimes but it’s rare.

Shag and mullet ….. agh 😂

Sounds like nature wants you to continue to have a shag

What’s an anti-aging haircut?? 🤔
@@sklptdhair A very short hairstyle, ostensibly to deal with thinning hair. It looks worse, in my opinion. Lot's of UA-cam videos on how to cut them
I like your videos
😍
Mullet is awful. I'm done with long hair. I'll stick with french bob. It fits my lifestyle
