I’m from McMinnville and I call trips there when I was a child in the 60’s, as well as visits to Fall Creek Falls not too far away. Brings back fond memories.

This is my hometown! They've made Cumberland Caverns so nice! It was always nice, but they've added so much I love it. It used to just be a huge mouth opening to the cave, and we parked right at the entrance. I went with the boy scouts in the late 90s. They closed off the crawling section where they had a box made to test whether you could do it or not 🤣 hope yall got to see the stalactite room also!

Oh wow, I love to hear the history of caves! My good friend is their social media person so she got us in on the trip. Would love to go back!

@tag_caver definitely come back! There's loads of caves between Warren co/white Co and van Buren. Chattanooga where I live now has a good bit like Cumberland caverns where its more open than tight.

@@TunefullyOG Oh for sure. I live here in Marion County,we have the second highest concentration of caves than any county in Tennessee! We go caving almost every weekend and I go a lot during the week after work too.

Why the graffiti everywhere? I can’t imagine being underground like that. Thanks for the tour.

It was common practice back in the day for people to do that. Thankfully we now know better.

It's definitely different, that's for sure. The public caves I've been in absolutely prohibit graffiti

The majority of the graffiti was done before it was commercialized and before people knew better. This cave is privately owned but open to the public for guided tours.
