@nana bt21 The war was inevitable it would have still happened without gu xiaowu going in there first, its been awhile but I don't remember him killing anyone else other than her "ex lover" and grandfather. He mainly wanted to keep the rest of her family safe and there was no reason for him to kill rest of her family
I loved this drama. The chemistry was unreal, the beginning episodes filmed in the desert were astonishing. I'm still not over it. I knew it was a bad ending but I still wanted to finish it, the crew did a really great job at softening the ending, it's not as bad as the one in the novel but it's def the ending the drama deserved. Chen Xingxu is such an astonishing actor, you can see in the BTS how into it he was and that really makes this drama remarkable. For the weak hearted, there's an epilogue that's just pure sweetness that concludes their unhealthy relationship. Anyway, i enjoyed the video a lot!! Don't think i'll be over this drama anytime soon. 💕

I haven't watched this drama to the end but i know how it ends. I took a break from the drama because as you said their relationship isn't healthy. Xiaofeng suffers too much and the prince is too overbearing. The part where she said gu xiaowu is the man only man that has loved her the most is soo true beacause the prince only loved the throne more than her no matter what. I definitely agree and it's a first for me to say that the ending they had was good. Really, I've never been a fan of these type of endings but like mentioned i personally love the ending cause I just couldn't reconcile myself to thinking she would end up with LCY.

This drama broke my heart. Not only the wnding but theoughout was so sad.. he loved her but could not show it to protect her and in the end it was too late, she already remembered... they only had 4 kisses, and so little happy moments together... I cried so much, the ending was the perfect finish to their love story as there was just too much pain and too much guilt between them. My heart aches so much .. But Xiaofeng saw him kill her grandfather so she hated him and wanted to kill him. Then some things happened blah blah. She went to the river of forgiveness and forgot but Li Chen yi jumped with her. Then she came to the palace for the marriage thingy. Then she started falling in love with Li Chen Yi again. A lot of stuff happen. Then they married because he was the crown prince and she had to marry the prince who becomes the crown prince. But he pretends to hate her to protect her. But later on blah blah she remembers and hated him and start saying she only loves gu xiaowu, which is him but he doesn’t know, he thinks it’s his cousin gu jian that is gu xiaowu. So later on he killed gu jian because he is jealous and mad that gu jian and Xiaofeng loves each other. But later on he remembers but it was too late, cause Xiaofeng went back to her place, Xi state. It’s too long to explain because the story goes on so I recommend you watch it from an app called VIKI
GOD THIS IS THE ONE DRAMA I HATE AND LOVE THE MOST! The acting is amazing but the entire story line makes my heart hurt and tears run down my cheeks. I actually forced myself not to watch the drama but still kept watching random scenes from it tell i couldn't help but watch it and then just became depressed and upset watching the story line. How can something so sad be so amazing!

I have completed watching this drama in two days, it had me hooked. This is the first drama in such a long time, except The Untamed, that I have completed. It was such a roller coaster of emotions and the cast had such great chemistry especially the main cast. Anyone interested in watching this drama, I 100% recommend it but I also recommend a box of tissues. This drama absolutely tore my heart to pieces as this was a doomed love story from the beginning, just by the title tells us how it ends 😔
I watched it a few times already and I am currently re-watching this drama. This is not your typical romance story. It's very complicated and makes you wonder why they suffer that much when they just want to be together. Their love is turning to hate and yet they can't help but long for each other. I learned to love Xiofeng's character as well. She was just a little girl that was forced to open her eyes and be mature. She suffered so much and I am thankful that Ah Du was always with her to help her. I guess it's unfair that she died but it was necessary. She love the Crown Prince too much but she knows that it is not healthy. They can't be happy as too many died for their relationship. It's unfortunate that she died but yeah, it was necessary.

I recommend the drama even though it’s heartbreaking the ending fits. A love that started with tragedy will only end with that or you both will have lingering pain. Kind of reminds me of The kings Woman the woman both die to teach the man a lesson...
Usually I’m not one for depressing endings like this but this show was truly amazing despite the frustrating male leads haha. The acting and writing was done so well I definitely recommend watching

'm speechless. Wig snatched. Water spilt . Just everything about it is amazing. Every single episode is so precious and there's so much character development. So many small details that you don't notice until the end.. Just so so good. This drama is excellent. At first, you might think it's just your typical historical drama, but it really isn't. The main character is headstrong, independent, but sweet and innocent at the same time. In other dramas, when they show a strong female lead, many times it turns out she really isn't, but that is absolutely not the case! She's very likable. There are also two male leads, and you might think it's obvious who the main lead at the beginning, but just you wait! The plot thickens describes this drama perfectly. There are twists and turns everywhere, expect the unexpected.. The plot is rich and not repetitive. If you liked watching Legend of Fuyao, you'll definitely like this. Even there, there was some repetition, but I didn't notice any here. And the ending. Just so satisfied with it. It makes so much sense! There are really no words to describe how meaningful and breathtaking this drama is. I'm not even going to bother recommending since it seems that only some people can appreciate its beauty. I'm not exaggerating over here, you just really need to watch it to the end to fully understand and appreciate. Drama lived up to the novel. Heartwarming but absolutely heartwrenching moments of betrayals, lifetime of regrets and just fate. Ending was truly fitting but the epilogue episodes brought closure for their reincarnations.
I didn’t really like the drama from the picture of the drama but you can’t judge a drama by its cover. I kept watching this over and over to convince myself to watch the drama and I am glad to have watched this drama❤️❤️❤️😖😖🤧❤️

The river of forgetfullnedd made it more confusing coz it makes them forget their painful past. They fall in the river more than once esp the main girl.
This show is basically about a girl who was in love with her master, but they couldn’t be together because she was supposed to get married to the crown prince, but the crown prince got killed by the girls tribe and the crowns prince brother(or cousin I don’t remember) wanted revenge, so he decided to get close to the girl and they even fall in love and got married, but the crown prince brother still wanted revenge so he killed the whole girls family, when the girl found out she was so heartbroken that she decided to jumped in to the forgetting river( a river that can make you forget everything) after jumping the crown’s prince brother also decides to jump with her. It’s too long to explain because the story goes on so I recommend you watch it from an app called VIKI
It’s not that she forgets everything. It’s only those she love (like as in couples not family)

GOD THIS IS THE ONE DRAMA I HATE AND LOVE THE MOST! The acting is amazing but the entire story line makes my heart hurt and tears run down my cheeks. I actually forced myself not to watch the drama but still kept watching random scenes from it tell i couldn't help but watch it and then just became depressed and upset watching the story line. How can something so sad be so amazing!

I have completed watching this drama in two days, it had me hooked. This is the first drama in such a long time, except The Untamed, that I have completed. It was such a roller coaster of emotions and the cast had such great chemistry especially the main cast. Anyone interested in watching this drama, I 100% recommend it but I also recommend a box of tissues. This drama absolutely tore my heart to pieces as this was a doomed love story from the beginning, just by the title tells us how it ends 😔

I watched it a few times already and I am currently re-watching this drama. This is not your typical romance story. It's very complicated and makes you wonder why they suffer that much when they just want to be together. Their love is turning to hate and yet they can't help but long for each other.
I learned to love Xiofeng's character as well. She was just a little girl that was forced to open her eyes and be mature. She suffered so much and I am thankful that Ah Du was always with her to help her. I guess it's unfair that she died but it was necessary. She love the Crown Prince too much but she knows that it is not healthy. They can't be happy as too many died for their relationship. It's unfortunate that she died but yeah, it was necessary.

I recommend the drama even though it’s heartbreaking the ending fits. A love that started with tragedy will only end with that or you both will have lingering pain. Kind of reminds me of The kings Woman the woman both die to teach the man a lesson...

So many small details that you don't notice until the end.. Just so so good. This drama is excellent. At first, you might think it's just your typical historical drama, but it really isn't. The main character is headstrong, independent, but sweet and innocent at the same time. In other dramas, when they show a strong female lead, many times it turns out she really isn't, but that is absolutely not the case! She's very likable. There are also two male leads, and you might think it's obvious who the main lead at the beginning, but just you wait! The plot thickens describes this drama perfectly. There are twists and turns everywhere, expect the unexpected.. The plot is rich and not repetitive. If you liked watching Legend of Fuyao, you'll definitely like this. Even there, there was some repetition, but I didn't notice any here. And the ending. Just so satisfied with it. It makes so much sense! There are really no words to describe how meaningful and breathtaking this drama is. I'm not even going to bother recommending since it seems that only some people can appreciate its beauty. I'm not exaggerating over here, you just really need to watch it to the end to fully understand and appreciate. Never has a drama had such a toll on me, it left me thinking about it for weeks after I finished. Remembering old episodes and reminiscing about the small details. Just whew! I just finished The king's woman" and look how luck is on my side.....I find a fmv with the same ending. I need a brake again, chinese dramas always mess me up. In the last hour I cried all my tears for this week because of that drama and 5 minutes later because of this fmv. T_T
P.S Before T.K.W I had seen "I will never let you go" , that drama is sad also but what's sadder is that main leads are never together (screen time between the main leads is close to zero)

It has less sweet moments and has no kissing scenes but how the actors portray their characters and the story..such a rollercoaster heartwrenching drama😭

LOL I got confused too. For me, the prince has a more v-jawline and looks younger than the "teacher". "The teacher" has looks older, especially if you look at the eyes. The prince has this "roundness" around his eyes. To me at least, this is what they seem like from this video. I haven't watched the drama yet. LOL

This is one of the best shows ever made...i cried for hours after the finale...no show ever made me cry like this one...but it is so justified because even though he really loved her but he didn't knew the way... he never deserved her... though they are the same person..with GXU she fell in love with before or have the happy memories with but it was LCY whose love was deepeer&greater..GXU still went onto kill her Grandpa..used her,ended her tribe...LCY protected her even tho his ways were unacceptable...still he loved her so much...they fell in love with each other twice but both the times it was all wrong&they never shouldn't have 😭😭😭😭

Drama lived up to the novel. Heartwarming but absolutely heartwrenching moments of betrayals, lifetime of regrets and just fate. Ending was truly fitting but the epilogue episodes brought closure for their reincarnations.
