Definitely one of the best cdramas! I’ve watched many but this one had one of the best action scenes and the CGI did not disappoint. Amazing job on the actors and actresses can’t say I didn’t end this without a feeling of emptiness. Easily topped other dramas. ❤

It is heartbreaking love story, full of sacrifices and love that never ends. And, don’t too quick to judge. The female lead (Zhou Dongyu) is an outstanding actress (you can see many of her work, most of them hits box office). And Xu kai’s acting is equally good. Just the ending is too simple and short, still it’s worth to watch.

Am so thrilled and so happy to watch this film I think 30 times especially the parts or episodes especially the fight scenes of Shang Gu and all of them. I think this film is a masterpiece and from a big film production. Also the Director/s is very good and imaginative, even if it's a fantasy/magical film the elements love, friendship, betrayal and the flashbacks, Wow, awesome. And the characterization like the young and old Shanggu/Houchi and Bai Jue/Boxuan/ Lord Quimu of North the North are distinct from one Character to another. Absolutely artistic and talented Artists and Actors. I love them ALL. The costumes are set designs and camera tricks and effects are perfectly executed. And element of Love Story made this film more lovable and the ending is so exciting and made me fall in love with the film that made me watch it again and again. Agreed, they are technically the "same" but Qingmu didn't have the pressure of the tribulation of chaos on his shoulders so he was more free to express his feelings and just be the couple Shanggu and Baijue never got to be. I always end up liking which have many negative reviews ..from my experience we should try before judging dramas from others reviews ...I freaking loved this drama so much .. I never thought I was gonna enjoy it so much ..
agree! not sure about others but this drama is master piece, not just the song, cgi, acting great, storyline flows .. some part i dint like a thing he did but still great ..really emotional roller coaster , heartbreaking never ending love & sacrifice smart FL ML too.. well most of the times
