Pemigewasset Region Backpacking: Day 1

Day 1 of our intended Pemigewasset Loop Backpacking trip: We started at Lincoln Woods Visitor Center and planned on making the clockwise direction so from the visitor center , we took Lincoln Woods Trail and took left to Osseo Trail which took us all the way up to the summit of Mt. Flume ( Elevation: 4328 ft) one of the NH48 we are going to pass through this trip. From there we went up the Franconia Ridge trail which took us to the summit of Mt. Liberty (Elevation: 4459 ft) another one of the NH48. From the summit of Mt. Liberty we continued on the Franconia Ridge trail and took the Liberty Spring trail to the Liberty Spring Tentsite.
Total Mileage: 6.8 miles
Total Ascent: 3698.8 ft
Total Descent: 894 ft
Total Grade: 12.8%
