  • In this video I’m venturing in to a whole new beach I’ve never been before. I’m talking about the newest Black Sand Beach where Kopoho used to stand before lava eruption of 2018. I will take a 6 miles round trip, going with my wonderful friend and neighbor Barb and her son who were kind enough to take me with them. It was a magical day. You will see Lots of drone footage of the area. I bought a cacao and will get to taste what the hype is all about on camera. I kept hearing about bingo in my community, so I decided to give it a go and give it a try. It turns out it’s a lot of fun. I’m also having so much fun with all the wild life around me. The pigs, geckos, chickens, and wild cats, and I’m going to get close and personal with them. I planted my camera low on the ground to really capture them closely, and you have got to see it. Hope you enjoy

    25 years ago I lived in HPP, surfed Pohoiki, bicycled along the Puna coast, Red Road, camping on the peninsula, where the new black sand beach is today. Thank you for taking us back to Kapoho. 😊

      @@Nastaran.Battles I camp solo a lot, so I feel safe. In fact my latest backpacking experience was from Hawaii Volcano National Park to Halape, Keauhou and Apua Point. 4 days, 3 nights, along that coast. Beautiful, no one around, just a nice quiet time.

      Laupahoehoe should be fun. Maybe camp 🏕️ there on the anniversary of the tsunami 🌊? Might be a good video content for you. Pacific Tsunami Museum has some good information on that event. I remember one of the docents was in school that morning, he was lucky. 🤙🏽

    Aloha, as usual, such a beautiful place and the drone footage is excellent. Such a fun day experience going to the new black sand beach! Did you eat all the goodies you brought with you? 😳😉😉😁
    Another very nice mermaid rock-so talented and now it has been blessed with the spirit of the ocean around Hawaii 👏👏👏🥰😁
    Well, to answer your request, I live in a beautiful part of Oregon. Medford Oregon. There is so much history here and some beautiful small towns, like Ashland, Jacksonville, and the Medford Valley has some of the most beautiful clouds that come in and out of our valley, that is surrounded by mountains. These clouds are truly some of the most spectacular I’ve ever been blessed to witness.
    You are very blessed to have two such beautiful places to live and enjoy-so happy for you! Mahalo again for your sweet, beautiful self and the peaceful spirit you always share with us! ❤❤

      Hello again David. I’m so glad you enjoyed the video. To answer your question. No, I was not able to eat all the snacks I had brought. I was lucky that my friend and her son were there to help me with everything I brought. I know it might be silly to bring my heavy rock in my backpack along with all the other things I was bringing, but something about it just feels good that I gave the mermaid rock an opportunity to enjoy some of that good energy of the ocean. Thank you for sharing what you love about Medford Oregon I had to Google it I wasn’t sure what they actually look like and I found out that you’re not alone and I have a lot of other people do like the cloud formations around your area. Mahalo for watching, and I hope to hear from you in the next video

    Nastaran, this may be my favorite video ever of Hawaii. Your gentle and calm demeanor along with the wonderful music and beautiful footage was excellent. I love Hawaii especially the Big Island. Just wondering if you go to Waipio or up to Mauna Kea as well. I will do my best to watch all of your videos. The last weird question I have is this. And if no answer I understand. Your calmness makes me believe you might practice Zoroastrian Understanding? Thank you for a beautiful way of looking at peace.

    • @Nastaran.Battles
      @Nastaran.Battles  6 місяців тому +2

      Aloha to you and thank you for your wonderful comment. I am so honored that you enjoyed my content. I have not had the pleasure of visiting Waipio valley or Mauna Kea just yet, but really looking forward to seeping them soon in the future. Especially the stargazing on top of Mauna Kea. Big island is wonderful that way because it has so many places that you will never get bored. To answer your question about the Zoroastrian practices I am more than happy to answer. My father was not officially in the religion of Zoroastrian, but he always said there are truly solid way of thinking, and basically raised us with those principles. Especially the 3 main principles “Good Thoughts, Good Words and Good Deeds”. I appreciate you watching and thank you again for all your kind words, and hope to hear from you again.

    Pretty cool to think you're still one of very few people to actually visit the "latest"version of Kumukahi (considering how many people come and go here but never make the trek out). The googles calls it Lighthouse beach but no matter what you call it, it's totally worth the hike. I think I'd kind of forgotten how good it is out there and will have to take a day for it soon. So thanks for the reminder and great drone footage! Fun fact: Kumukahi is the eastern most point of all of Hawai'i! And mahalo for toting out some extra garbage. Says a lot about the character of those who leave places better than they found them.

    Mahalo🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏿 thank you for this video. This is your subscriber from Los Angeles, but have property in HPP.. I fly back-and-forth at least three times a year ! About the furthest eyed drive is maybe to where the 7-Eleven is to go get some tacos across the street in your town, but I have never driven further than that and I’m pretty sure you which 7-Eleven I’m talking about. On Highway 130. Well the next time I go, I will drive further down in the city of Pahoa. Well, thank you for this video. Order I hope it makes sense because I’m talking into my phone. Well aloha neighbor. You mentioned you have property in HPP. Does this mean you have a piece of lamb that you will be building on later? I bet you feel three times a year is still not enough if you feel anything close to how I feel. I know which 7-Eleven you’re talking about, and oh yeah, you have to go much further as a matter of fact you have to go outside town and all the way to Kalapana and the red road. It’s such a Beautiful Rd., Mahalo for watching and I hope to hear from you in the next videos.
