According to the product page for every arcade pad replica: As a testament to our confidence in the product’s quality, we provide a 1-year warranty, offering free replacement for any broken parts. But they also boast a "5 YEAR GUARANTEE," and I have no idea what that's supposed to mean. Are these pads supposed to last 5 years?
It seems like all of the new pads are coming out all at once. Nigel Barkus is releasing his new Barkus pads, Galaxi just started selling their pads, Pubby is making entry level FSR pads, and L-Tek is going to hopefully be releasing their Playstation 2 adapter soon. It's an incredible time for stomp gamers. I just ordered a Galaxi Pad. I really like the idea of the raised aluminum inactive panels, the LED lighting, and the actual thickness of the arrows themselves. I hope I don't end up being a beta tester.. It has to be better than my 20 year old TX-2000s.
@Cavey It’s definitely a good bridge between an LTEK and SMX pad. I’m debating on order a Galaxi pad myself. I currently play on an FSR Modded LTEK. It works pretty well for the most part albeit I have to tinker with it every couple weeks. Did you order the aluminum upgrade? I’m debating if I can just order the center panel to be aluminum and the rest black.
@@Vincent_ITG I went with the aluminum upgrade. I'm not sure if you can do a single panel in aluminum..I think it's all or nothing. Maybe it could be done with the pad customization option somehow?
woah!! awesomee oh man i hope that B2L willmake a PIU double pad in the future. i have 2 DDR L-teks that i love (but my computer likes to randomly eject the USB) but the more i watch happyf333tz piu plays the more i want to try PIU
The price seems a little steep - I'm sure it will be doubly so with shipping, but if these pads really are the true arcade style pads they claim to be then it'll be nice for local arcades and dedicated home players. It would be interesting to see the 3rd party DDR pad market become a little more competitive.
all but the gold pads are $1100 before shipping, after shipping they come to above $1600 for a single pad. Ouch. At that price I would be better off looking for used pads in the same country and then modding/repairing them
@@GamersCharismaidk if you've seen the market these days, but even used pads from old arcade machines are going for outrageous prices. On average I see about 5k is the going price. Demand is really high :/
@@Chaos_Lemon still, 3k would be the price of two pads after shipping cost ($1650 for a single pad after shipping), at which point you are very much able to grab a full cab setup if you look around. The only real benefits for these pads are being new and being easier to get. But being new isn't always better, as Dr. D showed on his that the active panels were quite dramatically different in sizes and required modding to get it more accurate. Still, if you don't mind that and don't want the full cab, these are still a decent option.
@@GamersCharisma my bad I meant to say $5k. I finally saw Dr. D's vid on it and I think it's still worth it after modding (which is pretty easy to do). On the other hand SMX pads are more consistent to get now and are about $500 more expensive so it might not be worth it to get the others
@@Chaos_Lemon Plus, honestly I'd rather drop 1600 for a sparkling new pad, rather than spend the time to refurbish, clean out, repair a used arcade pad (since I'm not sure I'd have the spare time - and, wanting to get back into DDR, I'd rather spend more time, well, actually playing than tinkering with a pad).
First I've heard of these pads. I'd really like to see some reviews drop for this thing before I make a drastic purchase. I would easily sell my penny modded L-tek for this.
If you really want you can have official arcade cabinet pads made. It's not made inhouse and the actual manufacturer will sell the entire thing minus the output board(actually you don't want this, since you need to plug it into something else).
@@stuffillusionist2356 Are you saying that from experience? I'm considering buying a b2l pad but I'm wanting to see if anyone's have had any problems with them first.
@@stuffillusionist2356 sorry for my late reply! surely people put guides out there for wiring right? i mean, i agree its no good if its no good, and i feel its too expensive but also i want to buy it simply to have the whole arcade machine set up, even if i have to learn to rewire it. dont want to burn my apartment down tho, thats for sure.
If i'm gonna throw 1k-2k on a pad, I want some kind of warranty.

@@CaveyMothI had no idea about galaxi pads and now I’m DYING for one! Has your experience been good so far?
Yea… the gold cab pad is really calling my name
i’m definitely getting my hands on the double ace pad
I'd definitely wait to see reviews on it since I'm not able to gamble on one. But the B2L pad looks promising
I'd totally get a replica DDR pad if I had the dough to throw down on it - like, holy crap, the Born 2 Lead ones look incredible.
I did a quick reverse image search on the images on the about us, and it looks like they are using stock photos for the team - take that as you will
Now they replaced these with AI generated images. I want to like these pads but this whole company feels so shady.
I don't know if you get this a lot, but you'd make a sick narrator.
That double classic pad has me feeling like I'm 16 again. Might have to pick one up.

I'm in the same boat , ready to get a double but the information seems scarce and anecdotal
Someone told me SMX pads are bad casue they are not very sensitive sensors are prone to break and need to be replaced.
Is there a video of someone using it?
yes, it's mentioned in the video
