(especially after a few beers!) ;) Anyway I literally built my weebill S after your build using your links. So thanks ! I added a smallrig handgrip. Cheaper than an extra Zhiyun tripod. One con i have that wasn't mentioned is that I've found since the last couple of firmware updates, the panning seems to loose itself. As in PF mode, sometimes it doesn't return to center. My work around is just press the Fn button and it returns to center and reshoot the clip. But i can't help but feel annoyed every time it does it. I've tried resetting to factory. If anyone has this figured out, please let me know what you did !

Yes mate, but she will get a much lower shot. If you don't have this sidehandle: geni.us/LABApv You should invest in one. holding it upright with the sidehandle will reduce the stress on her arms and if she holds the gimbal closer to her body.
I don't have the problem with (pan axis lock it self). but I only have the camera on the gimbal when I'm shooting. so there is no unnecessary pressure on the components.

Returned it and bought another and had a issue with the lock buttons, they wouldn't work after a week. cheaply made and this doesn't hold up at all.
Put some thread lock compound on the screws so the legs don't loosen up again so quickly? Doesn't a press of PF do a reset of position for you? Another con is that the locks aren't strong enough to use them for loaded gimbal transport. People breaking the locks transporting loaded gimbals.
I did not know that the locks aren't holding up fully loaded. I complained about the locks in my weebillS vs crane 3 lab video. It is not a reset I am missing, double tapping the trigger resets the position. With the crane 3 lab I can use the gimbal in F mode and quickly re position the gimbal using the go button. Not possible on the weebill s
I watched many of your videos including the SC2 vs Weebill s. I am strictly at this time a GH5 user. Which do you think is better for GH5. By biggest lens is Panasonic 100 to 300. Please let me know what you think. I'm still on the fence.

Man idk how you got your camera to balance with the added quick release. I tried with my manfrotto RC2 QR and it would just not work it was always to back heavy. As soon as I took it off and used just the weebill s plate it balanced like a champ. Maybe it didnt balance because I also have a cage on my A7iii. Ill try it again without the cage but id rather keep the cage on. Any tips on how you got yours to balance with the added QR system?
Just bought this gimbal 3 days ago. after updating firmware I am having an issue. In vortex mode it says AXIS LOCK but all the axis are unlock. what I am doing wrong ?
Hi Peter, maybe you can help me ...i have still the problem that if i use the joystick for the tilt-movement of my head the movement is not smooth stopping when i move or leave the Joystick back to the center it stops immediately and looks not nice. My Setup: a7r3 with 35mm 1.8 The Joystick seems not to be so sensitive for smaller Joystick movements it should more ease out or slow down slowly... How can i change that in smoother stops ? i have the latest firmware 1.9.5. The only way to achieve this was threw the app an the sync motion-function where i can set the smoothness curve-level to Maximum but only if i use the mobile while shooting and i dont want that... the normal smooth controls in the gimbal menu itself only slows down the main Tilt-movement but not the way the gimbal-head stops... can i save the settings of my mobile Settings somehow int the gimbal?
Hi, I am sorry to say this, but I can't find any way to change the sensitivity of the joystick. As you say, it is much smoother in the app, but it is not a great solution.
I will be doing video walk through's for RE, and was interested in how well this does with managing tilt while walking. I notice some examples from videos of other gimbals where there is a bouncing effect in the video. Is that gimbal, or the user? Company uses Crane 2, but we can buy whatever we think works best. How is this vs the Crane 2? Other Crane 3 Axis I see on Best Buy for $199. My guess is those are much older technology.
mike tipton the bounce in the footage is usually from the operator. Would not you the crane 2. The ergonomics snd power of the weebill S is much better. I have had the crane 2 as well.
I've been using the weebill s for video walkthroughs for RE, in underslung mode and have very little walking bounce. BUT I'm getting very frustrated with this gimbals inability to keep level, it seems to tilt and roll as I move about and walls, doorways and windows are no longer vertical. And it changes through the shoot, so it might start off level, but by the time I've walked across a room and turned a bit, it's off and then further into the walkthrough it can be off in a different way, this makes it very difficult to fix in post and looks sloppy and unprofessional. I am using a very thin 2ft cable to connect the camera to gimbal, so it shouldn't be that, I do make sure the gimbal is balanced and have from the start made use of a quick-release plate so that it is very easy to mount balanced each time. I'm considering now trying one of the DJI Ronins.
@@MartWilliams our company tried the Ronin SC as well. It was horrible with our cameras. There are issues with either of these given their designs so you have to weigh the pros and cons that fit your usage. Weebill S has Tilt, Pan, Roll settings for the motors. Some camera rigs may havre more motor demand on one motor than others. Try strengthening the motor response in your Tilt and Roll.
Zhiyun hasn't made this public. All they say is that we have to look at the compatibility list to see if your camera fits. The motors are pretty strong. And I would say that it can easily handle 3kg. But it is also a question of how big your setup is, for it to fit on the weebill s.
I haven't noticed any gimbal reviews with mics attached. I'm thinking of using one with the weebill I just purchased. Is it advisable to add a mic to a camera(Sony a6400) when it is on a gimbal?

Yes, if you look at the button of the weebill S, there are some holes. If you push the button up and sign up with a hole, you will lock the tripod so it won't loosen.

Too much slow..i need to turn the focus wheel on the stabilizer a lot of time in order to reach piont B from point A (sensibility on wheel setting menu is set as high). Hi Lorenzo, There must be something wrong. When i got the sensibility setting set on high I have full focus range by just turning the wheel half a round. If you know any other wiht a Weebill S, try to se if you get same result on that one.

PariTosh ChaKmA yes I also have that problem. I talk about it in one of my previous Weebill S videos. The pan axis lock gets loose over time and locks itself. I have son ducktape over the lock to keep it in place.
PariTosh ChaKmA I think it is pretty ignoring. There is no way to fix it. They have to make the lock different on future gimbals, but I live with it and use ducktape
If you get a more stable table, your video will become much more pleasing to watch! Seeing the gimball wobbling is very distractive and make me worry for your gear !
That problem should you not have. have you ballanced the pan axis, holding it out 90 degrees. I would recomend that you lower the motoer strength to medium.

@Peter Makholm I have an issue with roll axis (horizon is off). i can set the angle on the roll axis to kinda fix it, but once i double tap the trigger to recenter camera, it loses that setting. pretty annoying, dont know how to fix, wonder if you had this issue?
I was just about to order one of these and found a clip where one of the locks to the pan axis broke so it keeps spinning. The most important consideration is whether the footage is steady and smooth but I don't think you mention this anywhere unless I missed it.
The base model of the Weebill S $399 on Amazon and around $320 (yes brand new) on eBay. Are the eBay ones bootleg versions or what?

Nigel Aquascaping yes, that should not be a problem. I can ballance my gh5 + 10-25mm and Polarpro ND filter on with no problem.

I have issues with my sony N 70 - 2.8 lenses . Axis lock all the time . Tried balancing n seems like the lenses may be to heavy for this gimbal.

Hi, The S1H is too big for the Weebill S. I would recomend the Crane 3 lab or Crane 3S. I mostly use my Glidecam for the S1H.

What is the official payload for the Weebill? It is ubiquitously absent from all web material. Have they forbidden everyone from revealing it?

Hi, I do not have any experience with the Moza aircross, but i know for sure that the weebill S is a great little gimbal wiht a lot of power

I dont know why, i cannot do the "v" mode (rotation mode) on horizontal axis even its perfectly balanced. Im just using gh5 and 12-35
Cannot do meaning, when its more than 90 degree, it doesnt have the strength to rotate and fall back (motor strength maximum already)
That problem should you not have. have you ballanced the pan axis, holding it out 90 degrees. I would recomend that you lower the motoer strength to medium.
