In this video, we're reviewing the Julius K9 harness. I was on the hunt to find something to help with the pulling for Herky and Milton. We had tried a front-clip harness, which worked, but I wasn't 100% happy with it. It looks better on cavaliers and most dogs as it's more delicate, wasn't sturdy enough in my opinion.

We then found the Julius K9 harness. At first, I was skeptical because the harness is so large, but I was surprised at how sturdy and high quality it is. I feel very comfortable walking the girls in this harness, and it feels extremely secure and high quality.

I strongly suggest this harness, it's amazing! I can barely feel the girls on the leash now when walking, which makes it a lot more enjoyable.

i have the australian version of these for my 2 dogs. my beaglier was attacked in the vet's waiting room by a large dog. i swear this harness stopped the injury from being more severe. it was grabbing her side and couldn't bit thru the harness. i will always use these harnesses for all my dogs now and in the future. and i have personalised name tags, the velcro. their name one one side, my mobile phone number on the other so they can be seen from a distance and i can be contacted.
I have a dalmatian and she is a puller and with the easy walk harness, it makes a huge difference. My other two do pull on the leash but they easier to handle not only because they are senior but also they are around they size of your cavaliers. I use mesh harnesses for them but I am looking for something less flimsy for my dalmatian.

I use them the same harness on my dogs as well. Jessy can't wear a collar because she goes crazy (must have had a very bad experience with them before we rescued here) and she is super okay with the K9 harness :)

Omg thank you so much! I am getting a King Charles cavalier for my birthday and needed advice on collars and harnesses but just a quick question... since it stops at the shoulder, would that make it harder to walk? Btw love your dogs! Xx

harnesses are made for pulling such as search and rescue dogs or sniffer dogs as the strap on the shoulder is the dogs strongest pulling point the only way to stop a dog pulling with a harness is to use is a front ring harness and even those dont work the best
I just had my Cavalier at the vets yesterday due to vomiting. She said the same thing. Harnesses were created for pulling. She recommended a front hook up harness, nothing hooked up to the neck or on the back.
We have Kong traffic harnesses for our 2 nine month cavaliers. Our gal keeps chewing on our guys handle which is very open and elongated. Do you have this problem with Herky and Milton? Also do you just put them on for walks? We can't let our pups outside off-leash and they are terrible pullers. We just ordered the Julius K9 based on your recommendation and can't wait for their arrival.
Was the first harness you bought from HALTI? We had that one for our springer spaniel puppy and it doesn't even stay on, just ordered a julius k9 harness from amazon in the green camouflage design, thanks ❤️

what size collar/ harness would you buy for a new puppy. were getting ours in 3 weeks and I want to make sure were getting the right size. :)
XS or S for collars, but it depends on the brand. For harnesses too, it really depends on the brand. I think you could go for a size smaller than Milton's for a Julius K9, but be warned that they can outgrow it really fast!

Does your Julius k9 harness stop pulling at all? I just bought one for my beagle haven't had the chance to try it out
Not instantly, some dogs will continue to pull anyways so it depends on the dog. It does help, since most dogs connect pulling to discomfort but some dogs will pull through the discomfort, just probably not as strong of a pull

Does this make your dogs gag when they pull? I ordered one but I’m scared it’s gonna make her gag due to the strip placement

Toshali Chatterjee yeah they do shed quite alot unless your talking about herky and Milton then in that case I don't know but cavs tend to shed alot

yes! All dogs shed but it's very noticeable with dogs with long or thick coat like cats. The shedding starts when they are young and get more as the grow and their coats will out. You can get yourself a nice animal friendly fur coat just my having one sit on your lap

Milton wears size Baby 2 and Herky wears size Mini :)
The title is deceptive, this is not a no pull harness! However her dogs have stopped pulling using this apparently....
The service dog ones are for service dogs not pets. Just saying.

Hey PLEASE dont use julius or front clips, they are SO bad for their health, it restricts shoulder movement, plus they ruined my dogs trachea :( it's the shittiest of harnesses
