@@MoonkusserArt maybe you can answer my question. Why do the alcohol inks work better with some resins then other? I have some art resin I used today and the ink didn't do anything like it did with the cheap resin I got from Michael's. Is it just trial and error?
I have found the same thing. It seems to me that thicker resin works better with alcohol inks sinking through to the bottom. You can also try timing of thinner resin anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes so it thickens and then add the alcohol ink.

Can a white acrylic be used instead? Or will that not create the same effect?
White acrylic paint will not give the same effect. Many artists like Castin Craft resin pigment but I don’t think it is as heavily pigmented as FlowArt Liquid Pigment. Hope that helped.
I’ve been trying and trying this technique- I only have crafting cast white opaque pigment paste will that be good to use for the white paste?
Casting Craft white is not a highly pigmented paste. You can try adding 10% pigment to the quantity of your resin to make it as opaque as possible

I literally have EVERYTHING but the bling it silver! It’s impossible to find 😫 anything I can substitute?
I looked at some of my pigments to see what could work. Jacquard's Pearl Ex - Antique Silver is the best match as alternative. Did you contact ColourArte to see when they will get the True Silver in stock again? Leslie is always very helpful.
The coasters I have are absorbent. Doesn’t the liquid roll off of resin coasters?
They are big but I suppose it could.

I did just look if it was available on the website and did not locate it. Many products for many businesses are out of stock due to shipping delays. 😟

Sorry you are having a tough time getting products. You could try contacting ColourArte to see what they recommend as a replacement color.
Angel Wings appears to have a blueish/greenish tint to it. Abalone Shell might work nicely.

@@MoonkusserArt lol yours are sooo pretty! Mine are absolutely hideous 😂 I think the resin I was using was crap tho. It started to cure like 30 mins in and I couldn’t even drizzle the clear at the end or move it around with a tooth pick
@@Terraann85 if your resin was curing that quickly it definitely affected your process. I always say that I learn my best lessons from my mistakes. Now you know that resin won't work well in this application.
