She was a hugely underrated interviewer as well. Always let the guest shine...the in Bed With Joan episode with Bianca de Rio is a good example of that :) ua-cam.com/video/dx3yoY-5Imc/v-deo.html But she was one of the best talk show guests as well. I'd spit my drink out laughing sometimes with the stuff that came out of that woman's mouth.. Legend!
Lmao she wanst humble, dude wtf its joan! even she wouldnt have taken that from you, she was just respectful... of the ppl sitting around her not respectful to others 10mts away tho.
Yeah.. when he bowed down she ushered him on into talking about his own Father- awesome. And Graham is such a pro at smoothly including all of his guests, his transitions between guests are like silk.
The women's Viagra joke was honestly one of the funniest, most well-constructed gags I've ever heard in my life. Joan Rivers was an absolute master of her art. Johnny Knoxville's reaction - where he can only bow down to her greatness - is a very touching tribute.
It's amazing how Joan shines 100x more than the Sun when she's talking but still gives 100% respect and stays quiet when the other guests are talking. She never tries to outshine them, she never interrupts them and she even shows a lot of interest in what they're saying. That, my friend, is what we call class! I miss her soooo much :(
She honed her skills up during a different era when women comics had to be good because they were held to a different standard. You can tell she's s hard worker.
Because his humour and way to make people laugh was to do things like, have someone eat raw eggs and veggies and jump on a trampoline and then vomit into a frying pan and get somone to eat it. Here she gets the shocks and laughs just with her brilliant mind :)

I was fortunate enough to see her show at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas back in the late 80's. She was actually sick that night and was painful for her to talk. She came out and explained the situation to the audience, apologized and said she'd go on as long as she could. Needless to say Joan was on fire that night. The audience were losing their minds. They were so receptive that Joan ended up doing the entire show and got a standing ovation. A night I'll never forget.
I suffer from chronic depression and everyday is a battle so when I’m having a bad day, I watch this and I forget I’m depressed. Joan is still making me laugh years after her passing. Love you Joan.
No matter how hysterically cruel Joan's humor can get, her innate sweetness is what comes through the most to me. Her humor is a testament to her love of life, and thank God for that. Because it is totally contagious. It helped me countless times. RIP sweet Joan.
A favorite NYC memory was having Joan stop at my table where I was sitting with my 3 just grown children, to wish me a Happy Father's Day and tell ne how fabulous I looked. It was the last time I ever dared feel sorry for myself being a single mom. She was the best! All 4' of her!
Charles Harding 🤔 definitely convenient for Government and religious haters with George Carlin suddenly dying in 2008 when he was spry and healthy just like Joan and suddenly dead.😢😢😢😢😢
While having “simple surgery“ Joan’s brain was deprived of oxygen and she suffered irreversible brain damage! The daughter sued the clinic but that does not bring back Joan.😢 😭
I love how he admits its alcohol during the show that opens up the peeps and lets them loose!but I love how he tells them positive things about their projects and lets them open up about everything during the interviews!
Joan was born to make people laugh! You clearly notice the joy and the fullfillment she gets when people laugh out loud at her jokes. There will be no one like her. Ever! I really really miss her .
I saw her in concert around this time and she was marvelous. she did a two hour shoe and never stopped talking or walking around the stage. she had no prejudices, she was critical of EVERYONE ! I loved her so much. she was not afraid to say exactly what she thought.
Unfortunately Joan Rivers continued to have critics that often only critiqued her jokes without having an awareness of who she was. Hearing her in interviews and moments other than her act it was obvious she was VERY intelligent, witty and extremely caring and never joked of others with the intent of hurting them. She often used herself as the butt of most of her jokes. Some would hear a joke and immediately react instead of taking the time to consider if it was in fact meant with ill will or very possibly the use of humour as an opportunity to discuss what might otherwise be not be so comfortable. Joan had a joke about the Holocaust, and I recall some overreacting and creating a problem that might have been avoid if there had been some attempt to understand her intentions. Fact is Joan was Jewish, if anyone was going to attempt to create a joke she was one of the few. Yes there will always be moments in history that are extreme tragedies but avoiding discussing them doesn’t perpetuate discussion and awareness but humour will. Joan’s humour was smart and constantly of the time unfortunately many lack the intelligence required to truly appreciate her as the force she was.
