Love this videoooooo!! As a flight attendant everything said in this video is so true !! If you feel you can't lift your own bag, there are other options... Some airlines check your carryon for free At the Gate... Just grab any medications that you may have and electronics that you may need. Make sure you ask for a receipt! Voila!! You don't have to worry about lifting that sucker up...

That is an awesome carry. It would want to make me travel more so I can see the trip tracker on the app show visits to many awesome places!
Another tip is not to over pack your bag. Depending on the overheads space if you pack it too much and it's "bulging" at the seems. You might have issues getting your bag in. Some airlines have those sizes in front of the gate so you can see if it will actually fit in the overhead bin.

Thank you for pointing out that flight attendants are not supposed to help out with the luggage! Sometimes people come on board with luggages that are obviously not cabin appropriate and way too heavy, and they're looking at us like why aren't you lifting it for me?

One concern: it weighs at 3.8 kg. isn't the maximum carry-on weight something around 7-10 kg? that gives you only 3.2- 6.2 kg for your stuff. hmmmm I bet its the charger's fault !

One thing many people don't know is that the flight attendants are not on duty (i.e. getting paid) until the doors are closed and the plane is pulling away from the gate.

i hate the overhead bin. It is such a pain to wait for people to get things in and out of it. I always check my bag and bring a large purse with important things.

Hi there! So, I am going to NYC/Long Island for seven days this summer for a mission trip with my church. We have two free days in NYC, and every day after doing work we do a night activity. I don't use a lot of makeup but I love clothes, shoes, and hair! I want to get some packing cubes, but I don't know if I have enough money to get any of the products that you use! And we also need to bring an air mattress because the church we are staying at doesn't have beds! We have to bring all of our toiletries, including towels for both swimming and bathing! And, since I love hair, I want to bring hair irons! Should I use a regular suitcase or one that is a little larger with two layers, one suitcase and one duffel? And, I want to have enough room for souvenirs! What should I do??? And do you suggest any super inexpensive but great products so that I can cut down in size and weight? And do you suggest any things I should and shouldn't bring? And it is only a three hour flight on southwest, so should I bring a carry and If so what size? And how much money should I bring on the trips cause we have to buy some of our meals! Please help meee!!!! (F.Y.I. I am thirteen) I want your help so badly! Heeelllppp!!!!!

Your ganna have so much fun. Be prepared to walk! I went last year and i have a couple tips. Buy a 24 hr bus pass instead of 2 hour bus ticket, its ganna get hot and dont be afraid to buy the $1 water bottles from the guys on the street. Its alot cheaper than in stores. Go to the cola coke store and ask for a mystery bag they cost $2
its cooold at night... bundle up.. :)

How much is it?
Sonia do you know if the blue smart luggage meets the European carry-on specifications? Specifically Ryan-air. Some European airlines are extremely strict.
I contacted BlueSmart to find out.. their answer: "Funny you ask about Ryan Air in particular, since we are aware of the reputation. Tomi (one of the co-founders) flew Ryan Air just this last week and found that the Bluesmart had no trouble fitting into the overhead cabin." :)

Miss Bee This is the very question I was going to ask- if FAs can no longer help with putting your bags in the overhead bin, then what's up? I know a woman who is 4'6" (Turner's Symdrome) I know an achdroplastic dwarf who is probably more like 4 feet even. AND I know a lot of just regular folks around 5 feet. In my opinion, FAs should be allowed to help with bags if someone can't do it for an obvious reason.

The suitcase is not a good idea to take to the airport. I have friends who own this piece of luggage and when they've taken the suitcase through security check, the personnel have thought it to be a bomb because of all the cables and battery in it. I don't recommend buying it
