Wow. Your explanations are so clear and complete and the best is that you do NOT fill with stupid fluff. I hate stupid fluff. Fantastic tutorial. Thanks.
😆 thanks. I try to find that balance and it can be tricky making sure to explain but not bore to death with fluff. Thanks for the feedback and support!
Thanks for the feedback I really appreciate it. I def try to get to the point and show the main parts and give examples when I can. Hopefully you stick around for more!
i'm studying music theory it can be hard sometimes but having chordjam and scaler my life has been easier both of these vst plugins are music friendly whether you do music theory or not, today i have used them both routing the output of chordjam to scaler so everything you do on chordjam you can actually see those chords in scaler and you can start messing things up,to be honest i think these are great together
I downloaded the trial and I found it just as confusing as Scaler 2. Just as I was about give up on it, I decided to have one more look on UA-cam and found your video. Well done, you have sold it.
Clinton, that is awesome to hear man. I honestly am excited for you because I think it is actually useful. I did honestly find Scaler 2 to be confusing as well.
Hey Al Be! Thank you very much for this video tutorial on ChordJam. 🙏🏾 Let me just say that there are some pretty good vids that cover the software/app, but you my man wasted no time getting down to the basics of what we needed to know, without the in-depth. Definitely one of the more better music chord apps on iOS I have used in a long while. Subbed and looking forward to more vids. 👍🏾👊🏾
Hey A Mac I appreciate the comment and sub. I definitely try to get to the point while giving you enough to understand how it works and if it's worth trying yourself. Definitely have more on the way. 💪🏾
There are a few features that are still missing but Audiomodern has already announced that they will include some of them in the first update. Awesome app with lots of future potential. Would love to have the iOS version. Thanks for the nice video.
@@thisisalbe There were no official announcements, but this is evident from the responses of Audiomodern to inquiries and feature request in the comments of various other YT channels which have also done Chordjam reviews. I myself, for example, also pointed out the lack of triplets and dotted values in the chord sequencer on their own channel. They said that is also already in the pipeline for v1.1
Great channel, great review, great plugin! thanks, new subscriber here. ChordJam is really adventure into the chords realm. I could call it "UNCORA" Under Control Randomness. I just would love to be able to assign PAD to MIDI notes to my Novation controller, not only CC. Thanks Max at AudioModern!! kind guy, ultra smart developer!
When you first left this comment I did not know what you were talking about lol. I thought it was spam at first, but you were talking about their other plugin. Yeah Playbeat is fire. Probably will do a video on that one soon.
Clear, precise explanation. ChordJam looks very useful for coming up with some nice chord progressions. I’d be interested in a copy for iOS if you still have copies to give away. Thanks!✌🏻☺️
I don't know if this one is the best. It may be the best in it's price range, but have you tried Orb Producer Suite by hexachord? Not that's the best one IMO.
Honestly it sounds pretty good and natural all the time to me. Have to find the right settings like velocity and time. You can keep the ♾️ icon selected and it will be more natural instead of each having the same timing
I purchased it but cannot get the actual chords to play in Maschine MK3. I can trigger the instrument with chordjam but it just plays single notes. Any help would be appreciated.
Nice review man! But there's still one thing I can figure out. How do I drag a chord into the piano roll without it deleting the previous chord? It seems dragging a chord will delete everything else on that piano roll.
It's an automatic thing where FL studio assumes you want to overwrite vs add to. All you have to do is open a blank Sampler channel and use it to drop the chord then copy it to the right channel from there so it doesn't delete what you've already done.
@@thisisalbe Ah alright I did the sampler trick as well, was just wondering if there was a work around to the piano roll issue. Thanks for the help man I've subscribed looking forward to more reviews!
I don't think so. Sure they do some of the same things but the workflow and simplicity of ChordJam offer some advantages over scaler. Even people on this very video comment how confusing scaler can be. But I feel you.
Spot on explanation, I watched a few long vids before yours and wasn’t going to buy, but after seeing yours I’m sold. Nice one, just what I was after.

This is the best video I watched on Chordjam
Not only because your presentation is top notch. You end up using it in a track. Thats dope, mate

Wasn't too impressed until the end, when you inserted the progression along with your trap best. Excellent tutorial in a short time, dude. Subbed.
Awesome, thank you!

What's good my brother from another mother I enjoyed the video. I'm still trying to wrap my head around scaler 2. Keep them videos coming.👍🏿
Hey brother no doubt. This is easier for me to use than scaler is actually. But I feel you.

Picked this up today, thanks for the breakdown!
Thanks for the feedback. Hope you enjoy it!
Thanks so much for the great overview. This was really helpful!
Mike Thank you for the comment and feedback!
Great tutorial. Fantastic app. I’m on iOS and my chord vocabulary is quite limited but I’m very much into songwriting so for me this seems perfect.
Exactly, it's great for songwriting which I also do.
Thanks for this awesome walk thru!! Sooo helpful
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the clear explanation on how to use this plugin 👍
Great for working through writers block.. or pushing through a half-idea.
Win, thanks.
I definitely agree.
immediately got a like from me for that "no pun intended" at the beginning hahaha
😂 thanks for the like, you'll catch many more moments like this if you sub

Fantastic tutorial
Glad you liked it

No I have not tried that. Will check it out though. Always looking for new plugins 😂
Great review 🙏🙏🏿
Thanks for the feedback
When I drag the chord sequence onto the instrument track, the midi doesn't sync with the tempo.
fiyAaaa🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yessir!
Does ChordJam have built in cowbell based on music theory?
No but you can use it to make chords with another instrument that has cowbells 😀
Great plugin but wonder how natural it would sound in the context of a regular ( non-techno/hip-hop type) song.Maybe some good comp styles would help.

I'll take the Win version- if I don't buy it from plugin Boutique today 😂
If you do be sure to use my link in the description 😂

scaler rip off why bother

@@thisisalbe that answers the question if it makes sense to get Chordjam, when you already have Scaler. I tend to prefer a simpler chord tool. Thx!
how do you get it to play
