Back in the 80’s I would buy the big doodle art posters. My roommate and I would invite friends over and we’d have beverages and food. We’d all sit around a table and each person got a quarter of the poster. Everyone brought their own art supplies. We’d listen to music, eat, color and have a great time. Your coloring came out great!
I had one of those too and was almost finished when a visitor sat her cold drink down on it and left it there. The glass sweated and left a ring on my poster. I was livid. Now, I have all of the Wildergorn posters AND the book and no one's getting near them with any drinks.
This is something, we all struggle with when we create art: *"We often focus so much on the tiny details we don't like that we forget to step back and look at the bigger picture. Little mistakes get lost in the details and nobody else is looking as closely as you, so instead of getting caught up in perfection, enjoy the process a little more and don't let these little moments ruin your enjoyment of the rest of your piece." ~Sarah Renae Clark* Your quote hit me (*cause I've always been like that). Thank you Sarah. I wrote down your quote as a reminder to myself. Great job with your poster! 💕
Didn't help that my Mum always did notice the little mistakes and so I kinda learned I had to do stuff spot on. And I also see all the tiny mistakes other people make. Its always really obvious to me. But like, it doesn't detract from the finished thing most of the time. If anything it just shows you that someone real worked at it. So like less "noone will notice" because people definitely will, but more "noone who does notice will actually care that much".
thank you for the exact quote. I just paused the video because it hit so hard and true. I've been learning watercolors and it's hard not to notice my mistakes. But no one else in my house can see them. I think I'm going to print this out and hang it by my crafting desk.
You’re so right about how we can fixate on little details that people wouldn’t even notice. It’s about taking a step back and appreciating the whole piece! ❤
First, a huge diamond painting, then a huge art haul, then a huge poster. It's impressive how you're doing these huge projects and keeping your uploading schedule without keeping us bored. Let's appreciate how much hard work Sarah has put into her channel to let us enjoy :)
I would love to see you paint another one of these but maybe experiment with other art supplies and see which one was easier to use and how creative you were with them ❤ Thx for the likes
I have the book of Wildergorn and I absolutely adore it. The details in the world building on top of the actual pictures too, are just amazing. And the experience of opening it all with the signed picture etc was amazing. The entire thing is just an incredible experience and I'm really loving colouring it. He's working on another I believe, and I can't wait to see it!
Oh my Gosh I LOVE the Wildergorn series, I bought a whole bunch of thee posters years ago and have not brave enough to start them. Definitely recommend these, they were beautifully packaged and had a little hand written thank you card for my purchase. They are also SUPER nice quality paper. This has inspired me to have another crack at these, I really want to finish one and frame it.
Oh you’re really missing out by not doing just one of your posters!! I’ve done them all and I have the book, I used Promarkers on mine and they don’t damage the paper at all. Give it a go. be brave and open one up! Happy colouring.❤
These used to be very popular when I was a kid in the late 60s/early 70s although not as detailed. I LOVED doing them…nice to see this sort of thing come back.
I did my first wildgorn poster in the 1970's and I still have it in the loft really excited they are still available cannot wait to get some more been looking for years for them to return xx
Add a clock or some kind of calendar to give your viewers a sense of time. Nerdfordge adds a simple clock but I would rather see days then just time. Good to know that the tombows are so bright.. they are still on my wishlist because I love to color with water based markers and fineliners.
This looks amazing! The details and shading are beautiful, the whole piece flows together. The colours are beautiful, it definitely looks like you spent hours on it.
So beautiful and this brought back fond memories of being a kid and on the last day of school each year, we would go and buy a jumbo poster and color it during the Summer. We had them on sliding doors, walls and driveways. They were no where the work of art you have created but what fun times we all had as kids. Thank you for a great walk down memory lane and showing his beautiful book and posters and sharing your creativity
I have Jamie's book in the mail. It's somewhere between Ireland and Arkansas right now. Ugh. His artwork is absolutely fabulous, and I must say you certainly did it justice with your work. Beautiful! I had not considered water-based markers, but I may now. Watching how you layered them has intrigued me! I hope you have a color-along episode for the book in the future. Just please wait until mine arrives! Oh, and by the way, I do NOT recommend coloring a poster on a wall. I'm doing one now and my arm and shoulder do not like this at all.
I think this piece could actually be a wonderful resource for people learning painting. It's compositional and easy to determine depth, lighting, and colour typing. The creation is amazing
So smart to stick with the watercolor markers. If I was do the book size I might use my Copics, but the giant poster was quite the feat. Really nice. Thanks for the link to his site.
When I was a kid I had a massive coloring poster like this. Took it everywhere. After a couple months working on it somebody stole it out of our car. I'll never forgive and I'm 40 now.
This came out gorgeous, Sarah! It reminds me of a storybook illustration with the whole story depicted on one huge page. Awesome work! Thanks for sharing!
Hullo Sarah, thank you for sharing another beautifully made coloring page! I am glad that you took some time to finish it and chose not to rush it just to complete your video. I don’t know what to call those creatures either! They look related to Seuss creatures, any of them just pick one of those goofy names he used if ya want! Thank you for sharing all of your ideas and applications for “painting” this coloring page with water based markers. Please take care and have yourself a lovely day!
Love these posters. Back in 70's there were posters called doodle art. Did about 6 of them and so much fun. Whole family involved in coloring them. Nice to see these, always fun to do. Thanks for sharing.❤
I've finished the Potter's Road full size poster and several pages in the book. You especially have to plan your colors out on something like this or it'll be a visual mess. The Gong Wizards poster has been started, but I had to put it to the side for a bit. Jamie has so much creativity, it boggles the mind.
That looks amazing. I find colouring so relaxing and helps with my mental health. These are something you can actually frame on your wall instead of leaving in a book. Fabulous
The mere thinking of coloring such a crowded picture wears one down, but the end-result is so rewarding I really liked the work, looking forward for more such videos... keep it up 🤘
Howdy and happy day! These posters always take longer than one thinks, and through everything you’re doing- persistence, and determination ftw! I’m impressed you went with the water based markers. I appreciate the tips, and I’m inspired to crack mine out for a bit. (I can’t imagine the weeks it would take, and claw hand it would produce trying to attempt this poster with pencils lol) Well done! You turned out a nice poster, great colors and the depths and shading look terrific. Thanks for all the hard work! Be well all, and chipper cheerios!
I spent something like 80 bucks for the Wildergon book that included the ridiculous shipping cost to the US. It’s my Favorite book by far. Worth every penny!!! FYI Sakura Glaze pens added AMAZING details and textures to the pages!
Amazing! I loved seeing the behind the scenes of how much work actually goes into a thumbnail. I loved seeing the challenge (what a poster!) and how you used it to learn a medium you were less familiar with! The tip for pushing past your perfectionism is precisely what I needed to hear, at this moment. It would be great to have a top tips for using the water-based markers that you have learned from this, and little exercises we can do to learn these techniques (in addition to the tips you shared here)! 😉 Thank you for sharing! Such a beautiful result!
What a wonderful poster! I really like your colouring style, I was wondering if you could colour some of the pages from the book to some music? Because half the time I just love watching you colour. Then later if you want do a voice over in another video explaining the processes. I would even watch it if you released some of your older colouring pages with just music, it would be nice and relaxing.
I thought this, do a few timelapse videos particularly of the bigger projects. It wouldn't take much more work as you're doing them anyway. But make a nice different thing to watch and relax to, as well as the usual ones.
I bought the colouring book as a present to myself for my 60TH Birthday this weekend and I knew who had created the posters before you open them..enjoy…🥰🥰
Oh wow Sarah, this is definitely a piece of work you should be so very proud of. An amazing achievement! Love your commentary on colour selection, how you used your Colour Cubes and the blending style for water based markers xx
My parents bought the mining one for me over 35 yrs ago!! It took me ages. So glad I can now buy another one!!! (Now at 57!! 😂). Thank you Sarah, will be buying the book too xx
You unlocked a memory I had a massive poster to color called fantasy kingdom I regret giving it away after I finished it maybe I should rebuy it and color with my daughter now
That’s amazing! I’m have trouble with Kerby’s adult coloring book! I’m still working on the mythology world one! And I’ve been working on it for a year! Those posters are nice!
Me encanta tu forma de colorear a pesar de que soy árabe y no entiendo tus palabras, pero te quiero mucho y sigue haciendo lo que estás haciendo porque dibujar y colorear son hermosos. 💗💗
The illustrations to color are beautiful 🥰 I think it's an ideal size to organize coloring 🖌️💖 It was a delight to see the diversity of coloring techniques by thanks for the tips 🤩. Nice color harmony! 👍✨💖
Whouah! It is huge and you are succeeded as usually? Congratulation! I had learned how to use the cheap watercolor in a better way, so a big TKY Sarah Renee! From Quebec in Canada 🇨🇦 ❤😊
Fabulous result! Awesome project. Awesome colouring. As a teenager I had a huge doodle art poster that I coloured with markers. It was a really fun project. I finished it eventually. 😜 A little crazy but fun. Thanks for sharing this!
"Slow down and enjoy the process", and not get wrapped up in all the details. That's great advice. I keep trying to explain that to my daughter, whose also an artist. She's always worrying about her art being as good as other people's. Love the poster! Such a huge endeavor.
Its my first visit here and also first watching coloring art..i’m really so impressed, amazed and inspired! Its a brand new world! I just started with a bit coloring, but now I want more! Thanks a lot!
I think I might get one of these posters for myself and try my hand at them some day. Perhaps using watercolours might be a good idea. Anyway, this turned out beautiful!
I love this one soooo much! The Tombows are one of my favourite markers to use and you've done such a great job of blending them. I never lean towards earthy colours so it's so nice to watch how you use them!
That’s so pretty, I’d love to see some trees in the next colourIng project coloured as cherry blossoms in bloom I would like to see how to colour that, nice soft and hot pinks! I think this would’ve looked cool if it was coloured like Horton hears a who style maybe? Can’t help but wonder haha 😂 I’ll definitely have to do my own poster I have 0 space lol 😂
I’m just now finding your page and I absolutely love it!! I love to color to relax my mind and will definitely be supporting you by buying some coloring pages soon! 😁
Thats was a huge Poster what a fantastic challenge 😮😊 sarah your finished Result is absolutely Stunning 😍 Well done 🎉 the coloring Book looks challenging 😅 so many colour ideas😜. Have a Good weekend 🥰
Wow! You did an awesome job! I'd lose my mind with that many tiny details, I like doing easy stuff like a beach ball LOL! I'm a perfectionist at times too, it drives me crazy lol, and I still don't get it that perfect..
A few of my friends and myself got together to challenge ourselves in " World of Flowers" cover to cover. We started in January and ended New Years Eve and none of us finished it.😂
I got a big poster that I had for awhile, and watching your videos, especially this one, takes a whole new meaning of coloring. And I can't wait to try it out for myself. Thank you for inspiring me.
I saw the making off this thumbnail on the other channel! haha You guys had to be very creative! This is soooo cool! All the details and the entire piece seen from afar is amazing!! I love it!
My mom used to buy these for me when I was young! I had totally forgotten about them. Only thing about them is they would provide the markers for you which would last for maybe an 8th of the picture. Good memories
It’s so lovely! It’s a shame the markers chewed up your sky a little, but you really can’t tell. Like you said, the bigger picture (which is amazing) makes those little issues completely unnoticeable.
It was literally a blank paper wid some random pencil art and u made it in a colorful butterfly (butterfly in the sense of a beautiful thing)..i can really say it was hard because when i was trying to do tiny details and blend color with water based makers of tomboy i really teared the paper bcoz i lost my confidence and i started using color pencils to draw and color...i really appreciate your work...srsly u took 23 hours in total and a whole week if we say separately...i would really get tired and loose my hope in doing .....the paper is soooo hugeee...i have bought many coloring books and printed your color book and also worlds with worlds book but still not started a single page bcoz the i need to do details for which i need a little skills and calm mind.....i literally dont know who u get those motivation to do that...keep it up Sarah Mam...love u
I bought the book because of this video. I absolutely love it, but I'm a little afraid to start😅. So I just look at your video's to see how to color the right way😁. I have learned a lot from you, thanks!
Your comment about not getting caught up in the perfection and just enjoying the process is definitely my major problem. I'm not an artist, and I am a perfectionist, so I haven't found the adult colouring books to be relaxing liek they should be because of this fixation on perfection. I need this quote tattooed to me or something, and I need to learn to take heed of it. Lol! Your picture turned out amazing! Somewaht limiting your palette for something as big as this is probably a good idea, otherwise you'd have 600 different colours on there. This looks like a really cool little world. I must check it out.
Wow this is awesome what a great job you madeSarah I loved it What a challenge this must be. How fun it must had been to do all the smaill details and the shading and the colors you choose are great. It took you many hours but for me you did fast. Wow I absolutely adore it Congrats on you achievement Sarah
This turned out really good! You did such a wonderful job! Thank you for sharing! Can't wait to see what art work you create next! And good luck to whoever wins the poster! I still haven't even attempted the coloring poster that comes with the Peter Pan coloring book by Fabiana Attanasio! It's just so intimidating to me! One day I will tackle it though....one day lol!
My mom and I loved Doodle Art posters! Mythology as my favorite.
that seems really fun, i wish i had people to do stuff like this
@@sdube001…me and my mum also used to sit and colour the doodle art posters, what happy memories 🤗

It’s so lovely! It’s a shame the markers chewed up your sky a little, but you really can’t tell. Like you said, the bigger picture (which is amazing) makes those little issues completely unnoticeable.
What beautiful artwork! Thank you for sharing your tips as you go!
You should do a different poster from this series with a new color pallet! You can rep your color cube again too
It took you 23 hrs but I think it looks amazing! Job well done! Thank you for sharing!❤
As always incredible! Looks great
WoW, that is a great coloring picture. And what a challenge! This would-be be a great challenge, with all the colors and details.
That's a cool painting, absolutely love your coloring!!
Absolutely incredible ❤ Wow wow and wow
Beautiful job
So glad I found your channel!!!
That is an epic sized poster with sooooo many tiny details! What amazing art 💙 your colours really brought it to life, great work 💜
You never cease to amaze me with your stamina and challenges!! You did a very marvelous job! It is really beautiful! ❤
It looks so nice. You are good at coloring BIG pictures.🙂 Very nice.
Love how you made it come alive with colors..
I love how this turned out, it looks so good!
The posters are incredible Sarah.. Great job!
One day I will tackle it though....one day lol!
wow you are so strong for finish this poster wow you are a relly artist🤩😍 good job
I’ve never seen so much planning for coloring or art in general. I wouldn’t know where to even start
