I've really been enjoying my Pennyboard since I got it back in October. A good number of my friends have gotten Pennyboards in the past couple of years and they look like they really enjoy them, and I'm not into tricks so much as having another way to cruise other than my bike. It's definitely been a learning curve since I have horrible balance to begin with, but I'm totally satisfied with my choice. 😊
@xxpadmoondaze12 It's safe if you're able to control a smaller field of balance. There isn't a lot of weight distribution you can do on a Penny and foot positioning is pretty limited. I'd say buying one of their longboard models would be a better choice.
So the solution? Get a penny longboard 👌😐

@@angelzgalaxy4975 just get the cooest looking one and check if its sturdy to you liking also get some all-terrain longboard wheel if you want but longboards are your best option for getting to places quicker compared to penny boards and skateboards and longboards cruise better too
The experiment channel yea i’ve been researching everywhere but it’s whether the board is sold out , too expensive , or it has like no reviews. my budget is like 130 so i’m hoping someone has a link or experience for a good durable longboard

A Penny board is just one brand of mini cruiser skateboard. There are lots of others on the market worth checking out like the Landyachtz Dinghy, the Globe Blazer and the Humu by Longboard Larry. Penny boards are reasonable boards for kids to learn on and for cruising but I think some of the other minis on the market are better quality and made from wood and not plastic. I would buy a longboard rather than a mini cruiser because they are easier to ride and more stable but I have a Krooked Nano in my quiver of boards and it's fun to ride.

Another important point I'd like to add is taking into account your body size. For example, I'm about 110lbs. I have both a longboard and a penny board. I bought the penny board for the convenience of riding around my college campus. However, the normal instability of a penny board is amplified for me because I don't have much weight to help stabilize it. And so a barely ride because even the smallest of cracks can throw it out from under my feet.
Tessa Mitan You could try softer bushings if the stock ones are hard for your weight. I think less weight over the board helps it roll over things easier. Try using the kicktail some for lifting the front of the board. I find low speeds it's the front wheels that can get caught with things usually and make you come off the board.
I have four longboards so far ranging from 36 to 45 inches. I'll skip the Penny but I would like a Loaded Poke or a Landyachtz Tugboat....annnd you are great keep the videos coming... when I started riding a few years ago you were a big help and inspiration, thanks for being yourself! I ordered a penny board but I want a longboard for Christmas so I’m looking for a longboard right now
i just want to start off by saying thank you to ella ive watched your videos for years and i realy enjoy your content. this video brings up verry good points, however i think one thing you forgot to mention is that it is absolutely possible to do tricks on a penny board ( i can kickflip a penny original), its just a little harder and doesnt look as stylish, that being said there is a larger variety of tricks you can do on a longbard. In conclusion longboards are a lot cooler and more fun
I started skating and doing tricks on my penny board when I was 9 I was amazing at it. I remember one day I went down a very steep hill and don’t know what I was thinking, I stopped randomly and fell. I stopped riding for a long time after that and just got back into when I was 13. I’m now 16 and am more used to falling and getting hurt. (Most of all I’m smarter and won’t stop randomly) idk why I am saying this

Hey me and my main Bro had longboards. We are Freerunners. We used to ride our longboards to find new spots. Mine was electric his was a cruising downhill speed focused longboard. He would hold on to my shoulder and we would glide at around 25mph.. But about 2months in of daily riding, his wheels would just not spin anymore.. I assume this is because of wet bearings as we live in England.. Can you recommend good bearings that we can keep replacing them with or a waterproofing solution?
Shady Sav Some bearings use oil which is fast and some use grease which is not quite as fast but long lasting enough you probably won't need to clean them. Try Zealous bearings, they roll good, have spacers and speed rings connected in one, and use grease. Atlas also makes bearings now that look good which I might have to try.
I used to love longboards, but I have abrely anytime to ride and when I do its usually for transportation. I sold my longboard and got a Santa Cruz Cruiser. I considered a penny board first, but at the end got a Santa cruz. Althought the size of the penny is really convinient, I just hate those boards.

I once bombed a garage on my Bustin Maestro with a friend who only had a Penny board. We decided to take the hairpins in tandem LITERALLY within an arms length from each other. His Penny was both wobbling and sliding during the hairpin, and he was HELLA chill the entire time! 😂😂😂😭😭😭
It was one of the most memorable, terrifying bombs I've ever done lol. I've never trusted anybody more than him while bombing that garage.

I don’t know how to skateboard. I have always wanted to learn since I was in high school. I had a cousin who is the same age as my younger sister and he was big into skateboarding before he got his drivers license. A few times my mom would babysit him for my great uncle and he would always bring his skateboard over. I always wanted a penny board after I saw friend post this really cute floral one she got from Walmart on her Instagram. My fiancé has a long board he got a long time ago that he doesn’t use anymore. It’s been sitting in the back of his car trunk since 2014. That’s the last time I remember we used it. He thinks I should learn how to skateboard with the long board first before I get my own penny board.

To be honest i ride a penny board and a skateboard (with cruiser wheels) and i so wish i owned a long board. I love my two cruisers but overall I think its all down to reference (also yeah i feel like a plonker when i ride my penny board too).

Dylan games hi I would recommend a Mindless daily Grande. its the perfect cruiser board. its 28" long so you have a reasonable amount of stability for learning and its small enough to be portable and because it has a kick and mini kick, with practice you will eventually be able to do tricks on it. if you are a complete novice start with a drop through freeriding style long board then when you have learnt your balance then get a cruising board.
You should gey a penny board if you want the satisfaction of being to cruise and do tricks

First. I liked the video a lot and I'm trying to make a decision right now so thanks. Timely. Second. The music was in several places mixed too close to the level of your speech for people like me to understand. (I have Auditory Processing Disorder -- look it up on Wikipedia if you want. Basically, it is hard to understand speech against competing sound or in a low bandwidth audio environment like a phone.) Lots have this to a greater or lesser degree. You might mix your sound down a bit. Then it would be background music and not a problem. Still -- couldn't love you more. I love to watch your shorts.

I have a longboard but i find it very unpractical - I dont have conditions in my city to ride it around, so when I wanna longboard I have to specifically have an hour or two, pack it into the car and drive to a place when I can ride. I cannot take it for casual walks, I cannot take it when I travel.. Plus, it DOES have a speed wobble, sorry. I remember riding it once on a very, very slight slanted pavement and I thought I was gonna die (now i stick to complete flat surfaces). So I bought myself a penny but I still haven't tested it yet because of severe winter. Hope I will be able to ride it (I dont feel confident yet on board, started riding just last year)
Which longboard do you have? there are different boards for different styles also price makes a big difference.

If you want something to cruise about on you can get something a lot better than a penny board, also 90% of people that ride penny boards cant skate for shit, they have them because they've seen in in some bullshit programme on TV.
