I say this all the time- Faith Hill's rendition is the most underrated of all time. People talk about Beyonce, Mariah, Jennifer Hudson, Lady Gaga, etc... in the ongoing debate about the top 10, and they all did fantastic jobs, but Faith Hill is definitely in that top 10 somewhere, if not the top 5

Honestly, one of the best vocals I've ever heard on this song. Every pitch was dead on, her tone was supported and resonant, and phrasing was very lyrical. And can we talk about the way she mixes that high note on "land of the free"? I'm shook... it's so strong but so effortless.

I’ve watched Faith’s rendition several times and it’s just INCREDIBLE!! Very unique and unlike any other artists version Absolutely adore and love Faith!!
I like Whitney's versions, but like other comments on here, this is what really touched me. In the end, I have to say that this is the BEST version out there. Everything was perfect, how they had the band and how they cut to Faith Hill's face. Also, I think it is how she slows things down and build it up throughout the song that really gets you, especially the part where she slows down and build up to "and the rockets red glare" - just amazing and beautiful. The whole song had great transitions. I think other singers always shorten certain notes and it doesn't sound as smooth as this. Listening to this feels like you are flying and gliding through the air...if you know what I mean. I just love Faith Hill and she looks so graceful singing it.
+LBlush -- Technically, musically, this IS a good rendition, right up there with Whitney and Jennifer Hudson. But for pure, raw EMOTIONAL CONTENT, I have yet to find one that matches Lilian Garcia's work on the 9/13//01 episode of WWE Smackdown.

Thanks so much for sharing this Tom. Anyone who thinks Faith Hill is just a pretty face couldn't be more wrong. The best version of the national anthem, I also really enjoy the background instruments they really compliment her vocals and the song itself and give it that early 2000s vibe
Thanks for sharing this. She has a powerful voice and the she sings it with such emotion you truly understand why this is our National Anthem. So thank you.
No question about it, its amazing and brilliant by Faith Hill and such a great voice but Whitney Houston in my humble opinion, was better and brought the entire Nation together at that particular time in History when the USA UNDER H.W Bush was to get Irak out of Kuwait.

I'm surprised at the haters here - really ??? Faith Hill has an extraordinary voice and she to the best of my knowledge IS singing live. She's a fantastic mother, wife ,singer, and seems to be a really kind woman. While Whitney Houston had an amazing voice for a period of time her recording of the National Anthem was NOT live. She sadly lost her self and destroyed her vocal gifts with her choices. Many have sung this song and have made it their own - remember Cher's version? Lets celebrate all who have done this song with heart and feeling.
I’m enamoured with Faith - think she’s the most beautiful female on earth; but the honour for greatest definitely goes to Whitney. It’s almost a tie; but Houston’s version is to the NFL’s Big Game what Faith’s was to the SNF intro.
The best arrangement & sung National Anthem to date & still hasn't been matched after all of these years. Just beautiful. Still brings the emotion it did the night she sang it.

And she did it LIVE ….not lip synched or back up tracked. Admirable!!!
the most simple and most beautiful version of the USA national anthem. This is still one of the best.
Tom this has always been my favorite rendition/..........when i hear Faith sing this i get goose bumps!!! In my book Nobody does it better
THANIK YOU..........GOD BLESS AMERICA
Possibly the best version of Star Spangled Banner. So moving, powerful and beautiful.
My favorite version of this beautiful song!!! She blows this song out of the water!! Thank you for sharing this for everyone to enjoy!!!
Beautifully sung....if a bit slow. She has a beautiful voice!
Beautiful anthem. Beautiful voice. Beautiful singer!
This is the most underrated yet the most beautiful Star Spangled Banner I’ve ever heard
Cada vez que quiero escuchar la perfección en una cantante, miro este video, perfecta, sin falsetes, llegando a tonos altos si problemas, dulzura potencia y perfecta melodia. Saludos desde Argentina.
I honestly think she is one of the best.
Thank you for posting this... my son was in the signing choir @ the front, and I had forgotten that he did this (all of the kids in the signing choir were amazing, along with Faith Hill!)... my son was killed by a drunk driver 5 years ago, 2 weeks after graduating summa cum laude from Georgia Tech, and it was a delight to see this again... it would be even better in HD!! Thanks again...
God rest your son’s soul! 🙏✝🙏✝🙏
Awwww that little girl signing at the end!! Tears and goosebumps!
Lets celebrate all who have done this song with heart and feeling.
trha2222 Actually Mariah Carey did very good. She's a great songstress.
Yeah, Faith Hill does have a soulful voice. Very gifted.
DGM4 actually there is 1 time where whitney sing it live, but i forgot which one
DGM4 welcome home heroes 1991 , whitney sing it live
.
Greatest version of all time!!!!
Correction, Whitney Houston was the Greatest Version of all time !!!!!
I like this one better lol (less runs)
Jade Whittle I Love runs! lol! Well to each it's own! By the way, your have a Beautiful Smile Jade !!!!! :0)
Thank you!
Tim McGraw is one lucky guy
Wow that was absolutely phenomenal. Definitely top 10 worthy if not top 5. I also think that Jordin Sparks version is amazing and very underrated. Gives me chills every time.
I can feel her pride through every note. I got goosebumps.
still the best ever, they played it on my radio station this morning and it reminded me how much i love Faiths version, the very best!!!!
Today is superbowl 2021. This is STILL the the best!
I love this and searched to find this for years. Thank you!!! 1:06
By far and wide the best I've ever heard
The strenght of the beauty of your voice makes life more beautiful.
over all the years this anthem still brings a tear t my eye. Semper Fi.

The sound is great for an eleven year old tape. Love this version!
So beautifully sung by an A PLUS artist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much for sharing, just AWSOME!!!
It's 2020 and I'm still watching this. I love Faith Hill! Maga 20/20
