What I think is that you should keep encouraging Mindy to partake in the reviews. She's a lot of fun and the two of you together is very entertaining. It's a lovely set, and you've found a good spot for it. It wouldn't take too much to close up those openings on the one exposed side. It might be satisfying to do. Thanks for the review!
I had initially decided to get the Forest Stronghold and the Lost City out of this series, but after seeing reviews, I think the Harbormaster's Office and Art of Chocolate might be the best two out of this series. Series 3 might end up being very expensive for me. 😂
This is going to be an expensive Tuesday, next March looks like we are on the Ramen noodles diet. Good job there is not much that interests me out of series 4 and 5 but the Wild West Train and Castle Dracula, so its just Ramen for one month not three.
My friend is the same, he bought the BDP Lego shop and the Castle in the Forest but will not buy any more. He does not like the sets they are choosing because there is no modulars. He hates all these rules and thinks it should be the peoples vote that decide which sets are chosen. More than anything he thinks they are now overpriced considering they dont have printed instructions and he hates building without the paper instructions. So you are not alone with the boycott.
@@neilrusling-je6zo If I was a independent designer, I wouldn't waste my time with this program. There is no profit for the designer and once you submit a project you no longer have the rights to it. Imagine being an independent designer putting in many hours to build your creation only to have LEGO steal it from you. If you build again and showcase it without LEGO's consent, they can come after you with a lawsuit. LEGO is a very greedy toy company! I would rather spend the money for parts, build my creation, showcase it, and put it up for sale like it's a custom purchase. This is just another tool of LEGO to make mass profits, while suppressing designer creativity.
Alex, you are so lucky!! Doesn't have anything to do with the name of that guy with the white shirt and blue basecap?! 😂 I was just thinking: If you got the stronghold on Brickslopes - do you have a code for a building instruction? What if the set falls off the the table - I hope it doesn't - and breaks and you don't have a code? Hm... 🤔 That place for your stronghold on the edge of your mediieval world is just pefect! ❤
Alex is awesome, great guy and was very nice to allow me to take it home. I actually have access to all the instructions, but they are also pre-production and do contain some errors. However, I would really hate seeing these come crashing to the floor, much like my Lowenstein castle did during teh show.
@@alexnunes Yes, that crash at Brickslopes was shocking even one ocean and half (?) a continent away. I know you had an interview with Alex already on Bricking News, but: Any chance to have him as special guest on BN one day?
I would have thought that bridge would be a perfect place for a stream or river. The build looks amazing, but I do agree Alex, open back builds are not ideal.
Can you get me a length and width stud count for the base of these 2 buildings, I’m trying to work this forestman build into a moc and need to know how big the base area needs to be where they will sit.
I'd like to buy the Forrest Stronghold -- it would be my first Bricklink Designer set. But I've never ordered on Bricklink. I recently set up an account but can't find where to list my payment information. The site looks very user-unfriendly -- at least to newbie. I know once the items are offered they will sell out in hours if not minutes. Any tips on ordering -- especially registering my payment info beforehand? Thanks.
Once it is online in the Bricklink website, you click on order and you will be redirected to the lego online website where you will make the payment. Once paid the order should appear in your account on the lego website. The money will be sent back to your account about 7 days later, it is normal. The money will be taken again once it is ready to ship. If your payment is declined at that point in time, lego will send you an email. Hope that helps.
@@MLT-bricksThank you. Yes, this does help -- you explained it clearly. I guess I thought I could have a pre-listed payment method ready-to-go (like I do with Lego and other merchants). But sounds like at time of checkout it'll be apparent how to pay (if PayPal is there as a "standing option" I'll go with it to not waste time with my debit/credit cards). I'm grateful. Might seem obvious -- but, not quite for me. 😁
I don't like the doll-style approach, so this is a pass for me. Likewise with the Lost City, of which I saw other reviews. On the other hand, the harbor master and caravan are nice. I'm in doubt about the art of chocolate though.
That outfit doesn't look like an official Lego product. I can't believe you are wearing a knock off costume. You need to represent Lego better as an ambassador. 😜

When asked if she new what the BDP was, I was expecting Mindy to say "It makes us broke".
I am sure she was thinking that.
I like the “his and hers” idea for the two sections. 😂 I would totally remodel the her side! 😁💕
A very good addition to the medieval area 😊

I am seeing a lot of people commenting that they will be getting Harbormasters Office. That may be the sleeper in this series.
Love your vids. Pls keep posting

I have been on the Ramen plan before. Good times.
I boycott the bdp but this is my favourite bdp set ever

@@dmonsefYou're a joke.
Oh cool! You did the winter curse!

I love Forest men. Great review stronghold

It looks like it's time to expand. Would you have more room if you moved it under the theme park?
I think that may be where it needs to go. It will be a big move.
Awesome review :) Would you pick this one over the Castle in the Forest?

That's a great idea. I might need to implement that at some point.

At their widest, they are 29x18 and 31x28.

Running off to work but i cant wait to watch this when i go on break or get off this evening. Im excited for this set

For a group that operates with camouflage its a large enough Castle.
It would be strange to see a camouflage group using a LARGE fancy/shiny Castle.
Right! They don't seem to be too concerned about being discovered.
It’s the lack of refinement by Lego designers that makes me hesitant to keep buying these.

I just going to say that with this review you are going to make me spend 300 bucks!
Neat, but if only 30k of each is produced, then it's not worth it.
The back is open like a doll house so this LEGO set is likely not a fit for my LEGO city.

I know, I am such an imposter!!! Oh, the shame!
I have been BUYING Lego a loooong time, when do I get some free Lego delivered to my door?
