you should be ok, but give him a call and ask before you travel up. He'll want to see your setup and he'll make sure its ok. To be honest it's more the type of rod you have. Make sure it's not sea fishing type or 3lb test curve carp rod. You'll need a match fishing waggler/float rod.

I’m in the Drogheda area so 2hr drive you do this there and back in the one day ? FairPlay it’s a fair effort I’m up for the challenge Red Bull all the way home !
@@colinhalligan8527 Yeah I'm in kilcock in Kildare so its about 1hr 30min for me. Its not too bad of a spin. Fishing is from 8am until dusk during summer months. But for that session I just filmed, I was late getting there and didn't arrive until 10am and finished fishing at 8pm. So you can have a good session in that time. If you fish the match lakes you can easily have over 100 small 2-3lb carp in that time. The specimen lake is that bit harder for the bigger fish.

@colinhalligan8527 he actually sells rods down there as well at a reasonable price. That’s actually where I bought my ignition rod from.

I have that reel loaded with Diawa Sensor mono 8lb
