such an "End" to humanity is actually rather enjoyable... same as with the wanderers library (which afaik also exists outside of the the known universe in a separate dimension, which allows all knowledge to be amassed so quickly) - i will gladly give my current life away if it allows me to explore the cosmos and its stories at will, without the constraints of time. Even if there is nothing "alive" to be found out there, i would gladly accept the possibility of learning everything there is to learn and that interests me, to just Watch as time flies by.
This is like an audiobook of a whole writers run on X-Men.....this really feels like Age of Apocalypse....I think there was even an Old Vegas city.....I know there are a few post Apocalyptic cities if not Vegas and their were communities of mutants and baseline humans that banded together.
Also, from what it seems, theorizing, mayhaps the "sister" given her gnawing, devouring, and seeming depiction as a mass of flesh, maybe she's yaldaboth? It seems like a odd connection, further debunked as that would weirdly mean o5-8 is mekhane? Which wouldn't add up I don't think. Not sure what he is, but a theory as to whom the sister is, I personally think it could connect to yaldaboth.
Interesting, im still somewhat new to the whole scp lore so i can't really connect a lot of dots on my own but i was wondering if that was a possibility. I got the impression that perhaps 05-1 is Christ, given what he says about humanity being the only thing he has cared about for two thousand years.
I think that o5-8 is kinda likes an avatar of the Mekhane, because he said that he helped human from became animal. And the sister probably is an avatar of Yaldaboth

Probably cause even though this story should touch every facet of the scp foundation, we basically just got guys with guns failing to kill mutants. While I don’t have any negativity for the writer, I think that’s cause one of two things. One, the writer just doesn’t know much about SCP in general and didn’t realize all that the foundation could easily utilize to beat this situation. Or two, they do realize that, and realize that they’d have to remove any SCP’s to make this story remotely plausible when the foundation has reality benders. So yeah, nothing about this story was any different than non-scp stories. A government type body figures against magic mutants and loses. Done. Not the most SCP like story ever, which is probably why it didn’t appeal to your liking. Same for me, honestly
I find the concept interesting but not one character is likeable in any way. Monica and Armando are so edgy they might as well be someone's OC personas. The way all characters in Vegas gravitated sounded like something from Harry Potter fanfics with 15 guys salivating over the self-insert. The Foundation never compromising was at least very well written.

The ending of Apotheosis vaguely reminds me of the beginning of the flying city of Audapaupadopolis (not that they are the same but they are vaguely not dissimilar from each other) when there were other entities like the scarlet king, yaldaboath, meckane, Sauelsuesor & Sauel, the many eyed meme entity, the icy rock entity, IS & ISNOT, among many scp mythological entities, especially Adam El Asem. It makes me feel like Apotheosis (which has godlike entities now) will carry on on another earth like world and start anew similarily to how Audapaupadopolis actually started. Now that would make for a tremendous world building for a part 4.
I’m still under the impression that the Foundation was ultimately right in the end. It wasn’t “human” evolution. It was by anomalous means making it unacceptable in my eyes. Nobody, 05.1 and the Burden were on the losing side. I would agree with 05.1 at the end, I’ll do it all over again.
The Foudation’s solution was trying a ritual with a ridiculously high death rate, mass murder, and trying to become gods/controllers of the new world by eliminating everyone that disagreed with them. At best, both sides are in the wrong.
@@raylevi5343 The fact that almost all the people who disagreed with them constituted over 95% of what was humanity plus people who were already working for them. Their plan was to murder billions of people, and let’s not forget the second part of their plan which they never got to execute. They were going to restart humanity and the veil, and this time, they were going to be the only ones controlling it. That sounds fine until you realize that they’d basically be dictators over all of humanity and will have control over both anomalous and non-anomalous matters.

As enjoyable this story is, I personally do not like it in the sense of SCP canon. It simply doesn’t fit the SCP narrative, sorta falling into the less SCP and more super hero area than anything. If this was some super hero story, yeah, but by making, you know, the main focus that is the SCP foundation useless, it kinda ruined it for me. Aka, the 2 SCPs that can allow a timeless reset. The SCP suit that allows nothing to see the user and keeps the user alive. The SCP satellite that destroys dangerous current/future SCPs that threaten humanities existence or causes mass death. The story is well written, but should’ve been written without SCP, since SCP is not the focus which is the point of SCP stories, in it so it would make it more enjoyable.
the scp universe is not just one thing though. it can honestly be anything. i enjoy the comedy side of it too. different tastes of different people under one umbrella, that's what makes the community so much fun to immerse yourself into
In the writers defense, some realities don't have the same scps, while some have the satellite that will kill possible threats to the scp foundation some don't
Also the in some realities the scp foundation controls every government while in some it has less power,in some it has space travel and in some they freely move between dimensions
Love this story, 2nd only to the Ouroborous cycle in my opinion. T.e.s. think you can do something on Dr. Kondraki or Pangloss. I've only just started reading through the wiki and haven't really come across too much about either just yet.
I mean most our fine too me but this one really doesn’t even feel like an scp to me more of just a comic or something but I mean I guess an scp can be whatever you want it to be
I personally don't like it because the story is so much like a generic mutant/ superhumans comic stories, which for me kinda ruins what is special about the scp universe and just makes it one of the comic book stories and cliche plot points I'm sick of, of course that's my opinion and you're free to enjoy it nonetheless

Same here, I can't drive anywhere without putting on T.e.s., this one has come up quite a bit and I love it.
The narration by The Exploring Series is what makes this for me. I find the story is a bit too comic book-ey for me to enjoy it by itself, but the narration in this channel is so good that it makes it bearable.
Same here. It's a nice superhero story by itself, but as an SCP canon it's pretty shallow.
I think it would be a good basis for an open world rpg. Even an mmorpg.

I like comic-style, action-packed superhero tales, but these are everywhere these days. Don't get me wrong, SCP has a lot of "superheroes" and "supervillains", but the way this canon was presented just rubs me the wrong way. Feels like I already read it a thousand times.
Luckily for me, its entertaining because I am trying to read scp 6280 but its obscenely long and my brain takes a bit to process some of it.
Done. I find the concept interesting but not one character is likeable in any way. Monica and Armando are so edgy they might as well be someone's OC personas.
