20 years or drinking, drugging and touring catches up with you. In the end it cost him big time. In a way it’s ok. We have his best work on record and he had no kids to leave fatherless. He did his duty.
I think his health issues is getting worse about this time. He played better before this live and after this he couldn't play fast shredding. Maybe he must take paikillers or something that makes his fingers "sloppy"

Yes Indeed. Henkka's playing Truly stands out. It's usually a bit difficult for me ta hear the bass in songs over the guitar, drums, vocals, and keyboards depending on the band and whether they use keyboards, Henkka more times rings through with his playing on the album's and live. Greatly on Downfall in the middle of the song he plays out a strong bass chord a bit before the wolf howl ya might notice. He's Great. Warman on the Keyboards, Incredible, Jaska, Wicked on the Drums, Alexi-WildChild...😏Yeah! You know what. AMAZING! Inspirationally. oh man I was there all the way on the left, killer show, all the bands were great ; Oni, Exmortus, Abbath and ofc CoB. My personal favs were Exmortus and CoB
I saw them live in Atlanta on this tour, unfortunately the sound mix at the masquerade was kinda wonky, bass was WAY too high and it was hard to hear a lot of stuff, but they were still awesome!
@@MetalThrashingMan13 Putting on your left leg when standing is beneficial when you're going to play a solo right after singing, or playing a melody or soloing whilst singing. I'm eventually going to take the soloing-and-singing challenge. Putting it on your right leg is beneficial when you are sitting down so you don't have to constantly change positions.
@@Koasterking212 how was it way better? Since Roope left band has done less mistakes and better sound mixings. Also Daniel has better stage presence. I still love Roope tho
i havenr followed bodom since like '08, when i used to see them live.. is roope gone..? who the fuck is that weirdo? i mean roope used to be 'new' but he fit perfectly. really hope that guy is a session guitarist temporarily
I saw him last week at Irving and he looked even worse. He also just kind of stood there for the whole performance. I feel like he's sick or something.
Alexi's playing hasn't gotten worse, but he is foreshortening much of what he plays. It basically means he has no desire to improve on old material. Too bad their old material was their best material, hence why the band hasn't released an album on par since '03. That's COB in a nutshell. I hope Roope starts a band...
I've discovered COB few months ago and I got to tell that it's the first time that I see that much picky and whinning «fans». Alexi's songs are legendary, so are his live playing and singing. Come on, no one is that hard, for exemple, on Mustaine who has totally lost his voice.
I love this band and Alexi will be my top 5 guitarists of all time, but they were terrible live post 2005. It is fair to say I think. Some bands aren't good live bands, especially when everyone gets older (see Metallica). I love listening to their entire discography though. One of my favorite bands.
blody cornuto, this band i think not is satanic illuminati,es tecnometal barroc pachelbel patron mode, medieval epic, and innovator, the sound i think is marshall
Tyreek Murillo fucking A right! fuck all these haters who say Alexi isn't good anymore. I don't know what the fuck they are talking about. he fucking shreds that shit perfect. I don't see it at all, how they say he can't play right anymore. is that an F-18 as your picture? or an F-5?
the question aint what happened to his voice...what happened to his guitarskills? alexi has never been the best live-guitarist but anyway...he seems to mess up every solo. he used to be pretty good around the late 90s. sumhow he didnt evolve...
Yep,it is apparently in this live, but i can say that he played much better last year in Beijing China which i was there. And obviously the sound of the every instrument of the Hatecrew is not that good in this video
This time of fhe fucking year where nostalgia hits, 3 years now and your legacy will never die 😢🖤🤘

I like Daniel's solo at the end of Angels don't kill!

well we know now.... RIP Alexi Metal Hero Wild Child
Angels don't kill was fucking awesome
Good show. You should see them on their home turf, insane.
True, I was on a gig last december in Helsinki and they played spot on with incredible energy.
TheMDbauS I have no doubt. These guys are great together. They really put on a good show indeed.
Brown dude here... Bodom is the best fucking band ever!! 😎🤘

Начал слушать чилдренов с 6 лет
RIC wild Alexi Laiho Child
Gone but never forgotten 🤘🏻
I saw them live in Atlanta on this tour, unfortunately the sound mix at the masquerade was kinda wonky, bass was WAY too high and it was hard to hear a lot of stuff, but they were still awesome!
I tried Alexi’s left leg V guitar rest thing and it’s hard to play like that, I prefer the right leg
Left leg - live gig. Right leg - playing at home.
@@my_oc_is_marlontaothecoolest good to know I’m gonna work on that, it looks cool and I’d love to be able to do it
@@MetalThrashingMan13 Putting on your left leg when standing is beneficial when you're going to play a solo right after singing, or playing a melody or soloing whilst singing. I'm eventually going to take the soloing-and-singing challenge. Putting it on your right leg is beneficial when you are sitting down so you don't have to constantly change positions.
I Love My America. And I want to visit My America.
I really miss Roope Latvala :(
Shawn Sig I do too, CoB was wayyy better when he was in the band
Shawn Sig me too 😭
@@Koasterking212 how was it way better? Since Roope left band has done less mistakes and better sound mixings. Also Daniel has better stage presence.
I still love Roope tho
Honestly It feels like he still Exists....
Cheers
что бы там не говорили, но мне даже нравится, как Лайхо лажает....

He gave all he had to us
Rock and roll hall of fame shit right there
What happened to Antti? who is the other guitarrist? Anyone?
Antti was just filling the spot, new guitarist is Daniel Freyberg.
the f**k happend too Alexi?
i havenr followed bodom since like '08, when i used to see them live..
is roope gone..? who the fuck is that weirdo? i mean roope used to be 'new' but he fit perfectly.
really hope that guy is a session guitarist temporarily
Hadley Souther hate crew for life! Roppe left. I don't like the new guy My self.
Nope. Roope is out for good, sadly.
Hadley Souther he left after halo of blood cause him and alexi had a different of musical opinion
Damn. Alexi looks unhealthy in this video...
Peter August how can everyone tell over video lol
Peter August i know right lol
I saw him last week at Irving and he looked even worse. He also just kind of stood there for the whole performance. I feel like he's sick or something.
years of strong alcohol addiction
Viktor Szolgai and drugs...
Hyvä Dane go for it Daniel....
So it wasn’t just the show I saw them at in 2016. But the lighting sucked here too.
are they 4 people? why do they seem 4 people on the first picture? second guitarist is rented ?
gitaroloji that picture was taken during the recording of i worship chaos before they got the new rhythm guitar player
ah ok thank you bro
I've discovered COB few months ago and I got to tell that it's the first time that I see that much picky and whinning «fans». Alexi's songs are legendary, so are his live playing and singing. Come on, no one is that hard, for exemple, on Mustaine who has totally lost his voice.
That´s just because you didn´t know the golden era of COB.
А, ты здесь
É impressão minha ou ele estava Morgado nesse dia?
I love this band and Alexi will be my top 5 guitarists of all time, but they were terrible live post 2005. It is fair to say I think. Some bands aren't good live bands, especially when everyone gets older (see Metallica). I love listening to their entire discography though. One of my favorite bands.
blody cornuto, this band i think not is satanic illuminati,es tecnometal barroc pachelbel patron mode, medieval epic, and innovator, the sound i think is marshall
@13:55, @14:05, im the black guy
with dreads in the grey hoodie behind the black guy with the white shirt
DEVARMONT7 it appears i am
Tyreek Murillo fuck yea dude! I saw them the day before in Philadelphia. wasn't Exmortus and Abbath great? hate crew for life!
Nazgul 66-sic exmortus was fuck siiick, yea long live hate crew
Tyreek Murillo fucking A right! fuck all these haters who say Alexi isn't good anymore. I don't know what the fuck they are talking about. he fucking shreds that shit perfect. I don't see it at all, how they say he can't play right anymore. is that an F-18 as your picture? or an F-5?
" I don't see it at all, how they say he can't play right anymore. "
Just listen to "Lake Bodom". Half of the notes are out.
!!!!!!! !!!!!!! !!!!!!!
what happened to Alexi's voice?
just recording issue?
Sound like ok , chek the DVD Chaos Ridden Years in 2006, look like the same voices.
the question aint what happened to his voice...what happened to his guitarskills? alexi has never been the best live-guitarist but anyway...he seems to mess up every solo. he used to be pretty good around the late 90s. sumhow he didnt evolve...
Yep,it is apparently in this live, but i can say that he played much better last year in Beijing China which i was there. And obviously the sound of the every instrument of the Hatecrew is not that good in this video
The sound comes from straight from the mixing table so you can hear mistakes lot better
壹枝蔡 this was the last show of the tour so i guess he was kinda tired out
This crowd is going fucking berserk!
jesus at this point just use a backing track for the solos lmao. Nevertheless RIP Wildchild
