Yes they are Cindy. In my next video we venture deep into the backcountry and find the largest patch of Kentucky Lady Slippers I’ve ever seen. It was a great hike indeed! Thank you so much! Take care!
Thank you William. Big South Fork harbors many rare and protected species of plants and other wildlife. So much of the area has yet to be fully explored and these species cataloged. In my next video we go on trail and off trail to locate many more of these rare Kentucky Lady Slippers with great success! I hope you come on back for it! Thanks my friend, take care!
It’s extremely dry now with little relief in sight. I have to get out somewhere this weekend before I go crazy! 🤪 I’m going to get out around daylight so I can beat the worst of the heat. An old VW Bus is down there somewhere… maybe I’ll try to find it! … Interested are you?
It’s really cool to know you have them in Denmark too! We discovered the largest patch I have ever seen on my next hike, but we had to go deep into the backcountry to find them. That’ll be coming up in my next video. Thank you Eventyrsoren, take care and stay safe!
Thank you John. We go both on and off trail next and discover the biggest patch of the rare Kentucky Lady Slippers I’ve ever seen. I sure hope you’ll come along for that hike too. Take care, be safe and stay healthy my friend.
I am guessing the yellow Lady Slippers bloom later in the season from the pink ones? I remember the last time we met up, the pink ones were in bloom earlier in the season, and if I remember correctly, that was in early May that year. Nice little find though. I bet it will be pretty in through there once they bloom out. Nice little hike you had! Good seeing ya out.
The Kentucky Lady Slippers bloom around the time the pink ones have ran their course. We see some of each in my next video. Thanks Karl, take care my friend.
Loved the video. Thise Kentucky lady slippers are special.
