The most unbelievable part of this whole thing is that Matt got this far without using any lifelines.
Well, if the audience thinks that George Washington was the 26th president, he should be thankful that he didnt use the lifelines.
@@anonymousperson3023 I mean that's pretty much what Who Wants to be a Millionaire was in real life at least on the US version, the Audience was good up until you reached the first threshold after which the questions gradually became more obscure and esoteric, at that point most members of the audience are just guessing and it would hurt contestants more than it would help.
It's not that strange. There have been a few contestants who got that far. There was even one contestant who famously got to the very last question, and then used his first and only lifeline to call his dad simply to tell him "Dad, I'm gonna walk away with a million dollars" and nothing else.
Right but it's weird that Matt got that far with all three lifelines

It's just a joke based around the fact that the host always had to ask "is that your final answer" and a lot of times it felt like he psyched the contestant out of answering correctly. No he wasn't trying to do it on purpose, the host doesn't know the answer, and more often than not would also steer the contestant out of answering wrong just as much as right you just remember the times where the guy would have gotten it right.

Jorge Goias I watched the show in an other language but the first 2 times he chose Roosevelt he said "B: Theodore Roosevelt" but the guy didn't say it was the right answer, as soon as he says "George Washington" even without locking it in he just says it's the wrong answer.

I'm definitely reading too much into this, but this is what happens when facts are being questioned OVER AND OVER even when you KNOW it's correct.

if you repeat a lie enough times, it becomes the truth. Whether it's true or not doesn't matter so much as how many people believe that it's true.
That's basically the best strategy to make someone pick the wrong answer, or believe something that is not true.

im in 9th grade and I have been watching SNL since 5th grade. I have learned almost all of the cast members that have been on there ever since the 70's till now. The best way if doing it is to ask the audience first, that way the people just guessing will be spread out evenly between all 4 answers and won't dramatically swing the answer one way or the other
