Where are you from!? Do you get snow? Thanks for watching. :)
Maine! Yes, lots of fluffy white stuff :)
St Charles IL …and I love snow ❄️💙❄️and snow shoots with no sun !!! Yes being warm is key! And bring a cloth to wipe down your lens when it gets wet !!
YES NO SUN is great!
Another Alaskan here! Another cold weather tip as someone who shoots ski races and is out in the cold for 6-8 at a time, I stick a toe warmer (toe warmers have a built in sticker, hand warmers do not) on my extra battery to keep it toasty.
BRILLIANT!!!!!
I didn't realize you guys are from Wisconsin, fellow Wisco girl here! I actually love shooting in the snow. Places are a lot quieter. And that natural reflection of the snow cannot be beat. So beautiful!
Whoop whoop!
Pacific NW valley, not much snow here in winter except for in the mountains.
LOL, I did a family session for 2 hours in 10 degree weather in Idaho! Oh my gosh I about died. No hand or foot warmers. Ugh I’m gonna need to think different from now on. 😂
I'm in NE Oregon and we get really cold, and usually lots of snow, and do far this year we have had tons. I missed a hoars frost day, but did do my nephew's photos in the snow. Loved your hand warmer idea!
So far* lol I ready for spring though.
I’m in canada, took few clicks this winter & loved them ❤
Utah! It's beautiful here in the winter
Michigan in the UP. I don’t love shooting in the snow but I love the way it looks in the end 😁 I do it occasionally. I think it’s also important to watch the WB so you don’t get blue or yellow snow 🤣❄️ love your videos and reels ladies!
Thanks so much!! Lots of snow for you.
Good timing for this as its snowing here in Idaho!
Whoop whoop ❄️⛄️
Hi from Canada. We probably get very similar weather here in Central Ontario. I do love shooting in the snow, less people around!
Susanville, CA. Love shooting in the snow! ❄️☃️
I’m from Vermont and there is plenty of cold snowy days so I can relate !
im from tennessee and we get some snow. if you set your exposure compensation to +1 it avoids grey snow
Hello, I’m John in southern New Mexico. I don’t shoot in the snow very often but I occasionally shoot at White Sands National Park. So, I was trying to refresh my memory of shooting in super high key conditions (i.e. camera settings for white sand or snow).
Thanks for the snow tips! How do you manage just cold days without the snow? The fall comes and goes too fast and I lose the awesome colors. Sometimes my family sessions end up around Thanksgiving and later where it ends up being a windy cold day. Do you have any tricks or tips to make use of the dull landscapes? Thanks!
Florida, so no snow for me. But I always enjoy learning something new.
❤️🎄
Minnesota ❄️🌨️⛄
Lots of Snow for you!
Colorado and hoping to get in a snow engagement shoot this weekend!
Oh so pretty!!!!
Michigan gal here. 🤗I do not like winter and cold at all. Going to make a point of trying to shoot some snow sessions🥶. Hopefully we will actually get some nice snow this winter.
❄️ I live in Alaska! This is very helpful to me 🤣 Thank you! ❄️❄️❄️
Alaska!!! So awesome
I live in Montana. Yes lots of snow I hate cold but it does make for amazing photos.
Ditto!
From NC, we don't get as much snow in the city as we used to : (
How do you set your white balance for snow pics to get good white snow instead of blue-ish snow...?
Canadian here! Love winter sessions. If it's cloudy, mid-day isn't bad. A bonus is that it is super easy to shoot in aperture priority (the camera isn't going to choose a problematic shutter speed or ISO when there is light bouncing everywhere). I like to shoot at about +-0 which ends up being a bit underexposed. My camera handles shadow recovery just fine.
I like to focus on a nice simple location because I find less is more with a winterscape background for portraits.
Love it
"Next tip we have especially here where we live in Wisconsin is it gets very very cold below zero is to be careful with your...equipment" - I thought you'd say clients :)
Do you think it would be okay to shoot after 10am?
Denver, CO!
I love Denver!
Hi there! I am currently struggling with the focus on my 50 mm 1.8 g.
What is your setting on for focus? Do you have any tips? For example, I’m trying to capture my babies little feet. For some reason, I can’t get them into focus. Am I too close?
Also - from buffalo, New York. Lots of snow 😬
Yep! You are too close I bet. You will have to step back and then crop in with editing
@@esquared.photography thank you!! Makes sense. Love this video by the way. I’m doing a maternity shoot when we get a good snow fall. We appreciate all the tips!
@@Jewleeeuh you’re welcome!! Good luck :)
Meridian idaho… looking at 5 inches of snow in my backyard currently
Pot Neck. (Coastal plain NC) no snow :(
Welcome!
Tuscaloosa, Alabama. No snow 😩

I am from Los Angeles, California. Yes we get snow in the mountains and parts of Southern California.
Oh and I don't due snow...lol
@@kysapaul9589 🤣🤣🤣
Oklahoma, snow yes. But give it a day or two and it might be back in the 60's.
Just get a dry box. Best thing I've ever purchased for my gear protection outside of insurance.
I've done a fair share of snow sessions here in Ohio.
