One of the main reasons I loved George Micheal. He never took himself to serious he was so funny even when he didn't try to be.... A real innocence about him and a heart of GOLD. R. I. P. Beautiful George 🙏
Absolutely spot on. He was a human first, pop star second. Whatever he did, he did with integrity, honesty and class. When he weighed in on Tony Blair and the Iraq War, he wasn't just some bleeting celebrity giving fashionable soundbytes, he was informed, thoroughly researched, intelligent and had the courage of his convictoins. Tim Sebastian pushed him on HardTalk to be more than a pop star and he absolutely shone, and proved a better and more worthwhile critic than most journalists. Genuinely one of the good guys.
Just seeing this for the first time, and I have to be honest, seeing George Michael there did bring a tear to my eye. Such a terrible waste. I just hope he's out there somewhere, knowing and feeling the love and affection we, on earth, have for him, even today in 2023.
Anyone notice that the mesh tank George is wearing is the same one he wore age 19 in a Wham! photo shoot with Andrew? He totally did that on purpose. Too funny!
This guy was such a great sport as well as a talented singer and generous supporter of many charities. So very sad he had many demons, a true star and much missed "gentleman" in the true sense of the word. My thoughts are with his family at this sad time. RIP George x
