Love your veedeos Mengu! So glad you've gotten into paper content this year, it's a joy to watch while winding down after a full day. As the channel expands would you ever consider topics outside of established formats? For example, covering a "best of the best" modern vault of 4-8 decks that you think would make for fun match ups to keep sleeved up in a board game style for a game night among friends. Essentially making videos on topics not directly related to competitive play but still using your competitive skill as a player to show off fun and engaging ways to enjoy Magic. I'm always interested to see great players apply their studied excellence to alternative or uncommon ways of playing the game.
I almost made a comment yesterday about the deck titles. I thought they were an Easter egg hinting at a future video lmao. Well, now I have an excuse to watch again. I see mengu I watch mengu. ❤❤
I always enjoy watching your content Mengu. You and Tommy always make great veedeo's together. Keep up the good work and I'm excited to see this channel continue to grow
great gameplay guys, im building a dimir frog list in timeless right now. The community is definitely at a tipping point right now due to the whole nadu situation. Hopefully august 26th will calm us all.
Loved the video. Still not smart enough to understand all of the decisions. Man, playing control is hard! Cant believe Psychic Frog is actually an amazing card! Proves the little I know about the format. Before watching this video if I read that card, I would have placed it in the draft-chaff level. Learnt quite a lot. Thx Mengu and Tommy! Keep up the amazing work!
I'd strongly advise against clickbait titles (current title for reference is "Nadu is Banned! The new best decks in Modern!"), as a lot of what it's going to do is draw in people thinking there's an actual news announcement of some sort, then dropping dislikes and leaving as soon as they realize it's "just" gameplay without a Nadu deck. I'm sure the gameplay aspects are great and fun and you'll have followers who will watch the video anyway, but for someone just getting the video recommendation on their feed and going off the title, it's disappointing to have to fact-check and see that, in fact, there have been no changes to the current ban list and the title is simply false.
@@MengusWorkshop Which is fine! It's just that the title is going to mislead people into thinking it's news of some sort, and then you're going to get those folks angry when they realize they were "tricked". I'd just change the wording a little or something to make it more clear what they're clicking on, more people will actually stick around to watch it. Something like "What if Nadu was banned?" or a similar wording (I'm sure there's a more exciting way to say it, to get people who legitimately do want to see Nadu-less gameplay and theorycrafting)
Yall are babies. If you haven’t realize by now that basically every title for UA-cam videos are some sort of click bait than you have been living under a rock it’s just part of the culture and it’s not really that deep
19:36 Does Sink into Stupor on an escaped spell bounce the card back to hand or send it to exile since it was cast from graveyard? Weird interaction not sure how this works. Thanks for the MTG content!
The phrasing of “return to hand” when it was possibly never in their hand in the first place can definitely be a bit confusing, so I like to replace return with a word like “move” or “put” in my head to maintain consistency sometimes.
If an object "returns" to a zone, it is simply put in that zone, regardless of where it came from. The word "return" is used for clarity (in the common cases).
Shouldn't Mengu have exiled for escape in g3 despise Phlage being targeted bu sink into stupor? Hence not having enough cards to escape it a second time later??
Thank you mengu for banning Nadu, I knew you could do it
Always there for my viewers!
😊
Keep it up guys. So much fun. Great chemistry. Great content and editing. Paper magic needs all that. Give us more! Thank you! 🙏

Ei!! I was watching this video yesterday when suddenly it refreshed and it was gone 🤣, great video as always, cheers lads!
We re back!!!
Tommy was cracking me up in this one. "Spell snare end of turn?"
I missed the first upload and was so sad, glad it didn't took long to get it back
We re back!
But when do we get to see the "Mengu's Workshop - It's so powerful!" merch? =)
19:37 "Eeeh... Counter..." Momento bellissimo ahahahah
Yay Re-uploaded!
We fixed the Deck name problem and added a more catchy title! Hope you enjoy it!
i’ve almost lost this video, amazing as always, long live PAPER magic❤️

Well, now I have an excuse to watch again. I see mengu I watch mengu. ❤❤
Since it’s my second time watching, I’ll comment this time on those extremely pretty Ice Age counterspells from Tommi. Such beautiful cards! 😃
Great veedeo! This video's editing was especially smooth. Great work as always!
Great stuff as always, cheers Mengu and Tommi!

cool vid as always, no point in clickbaiting on the title tho :/

Thanks for providing gameplay videos that isn't commander! ☺ i love watching 60 card constructed formats
O hell yeah I love both these decks, ty as always for being the best paper gameplay on the internet papa Mengu
So great! Love watching the fairer decks, hoping Nadu gets the ban soon!
Unhinged basics... soooo beautiful
Frogtide will be king once the bird is gone! 🐸🐉💙🖤👑
Love this channel so much
This videeo is so good, I watched it twice!

Love the veedeeo!!!

Yeah we re playing as if nadu was banned, what are the next two best fair decks

@@JiorujiDerako just enjoy the veedeo !
I completely agree, and honestly it makes me feel dirty clicking on such terrible clickbait even if I know that I will enjoy the veedeo

Great video as always gucci
If you think I'm going to watch this a second time you are correct.
You guys are the best!
Love Real papier play !
Ok this channel is perfect
Oh by the way: “We’d still be playing MH block constructed”.
(Just to answer the question in the video title.)
19:36 Does Sink into Stupor on an escaped spell bounce the card back to hand or send it to exile since it was cast from graveyard? Weird interaction not sure how this works. Thanks for the MTG content!
It specifically says you send it to hand so it goes to hand
The phrasing of “return to hand” when it was possibly never in their hand in the first place can definitely be a bit confusing, so I like to replace return with a word like “move” or “put” in my head to maintain consistency sometimes.
@@BCfightanif it was flashback instead of escape it would be exiled.
@@matthewspear2053 yeah but not escape :)

So I’m working on an eldrazi list that plays similar to pyromancer and I feel like it should have a good matchup against both of these decks
A legion of Subtletys
There was a play mistake. You can't use Subtlety on The One Ring.
Weird clickbait title. Saw it and went to go check if there was an announcement.
Please stay away from titles like this.
Yay Frog!
something is not right in the dimir deck list.. cant find the lorien r that gets pitched in the start. how many copies of lr got played in this list?
Workshop vid!
Let's go :)
Shouldn't Mengu have exiled for escape in g3 despise Phlage being targeted bu sink into stupor? Hence not having enough cards to escape it a second time later??
I read this first so checked when I got to that bit: he did exile 5 but it was mostly cut away.
19:30 or 0:01 for reference :)
Im having flashback!
Snapcaster Mage? Unfortunately not in this video :(
do you like to surveil Mister Maestro Mengucci ? 😊
Dude clickbait smh
I think mengu's deck was better when it was abzan pod.
you made me think nadu was actually banned lolol
dream will come true!
when did nadu got banned?
In our dreams!
Counter war almost as good as pauper!
No me gustan las cartas de "flip a coin" 😐

This jeskay list is outdated leyline binding is too strong in the meta at the moment, the javier list was made to beat hard on nadu probably
A bit sad to see Cardmarket didn’t sponsor you
Mengu is a member of channel fireball, which has its own sponsors.
@@felixward4844 didn’t know, just knew he started this channel after collabs with Cardmarket
Bro i tought they actually banned nadu 🪦
