  • A team of four GHI Scholars undertook research at the Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) in Tanzania. MPH Student Thania Brinks Zuñiga and undergraduate student Victoria Lynch took on the challenge of assessing household water insecurity in Dar es Salaam. Meanwhile, MPH Students Taylor Simmons and Bikyeombe Yves investigated the intricate association between climate change and waterborne diseases. Their collective efforts will inform strategies for enhancing water accessibility and mitigating climate-related health risks.
As part of the Global Health Institute Scholars program, twelve students conducted research in countries around the world during the summer of 2023 to advance public health knowledge and programs across a range of global health challenges. Learn more at ghi.arizona.ed....
