Love your videos and ideas. Any chance we can see a video of trees that are safe to plant near houses in foundation beds? I find many other makeover videos don’t seem to consider the root systems of trees that can eventually damage a foundation. And trying to find such a list seems to be quite a defeat.🤷♀️ Any suggestions would be appreciated. (Zone4) Thanks!
Thank you Joe! I figured you would! I’ll give you a heads up… we’ll have project/customer success story videos, showing designs *like this one, big design concept vids, and movie videos where we have a little fun. Thank you for the comment!❤️
Just found your UA-cam, watch for 3 minutes, and fall in love the way you do to help everyone including me, just bought first home in Florida, have been researching front yard design ( trying to do myself) l live in Hoa community so it has rules to do landscaping, but watching your video I think you may help me some ideas, I can send you my front yard pictures, can you give me some ideas please?( I subscribed it to watch your next video)

Wait how could u add a cherry tree when it’s cold there ? Also it would be helpful if you could make some more technical videos cuz when u day just “make it flat” or “make beds” its super hard to understand how to do

Well done! So glad to have you back. Any tips or tricks on mosquitos in the midwest? We couldn't step into our backyard at all last summer, just walking into the house from the car after work would leave you with a couple bites.
Thank you! Glad to be back!👍🏼 I don’t know a ton about plants for mosquito purposes, but I can tell you that outdoor structures that have shades that come down are pretty cool. The most cost-effective way to get rid of mosquitoes is to call the company to spray your backyard. You can also get tiki torches and some citronella candles. There are options that are cost-effective but I think getting the backyard sprayed is the best.
@@BobbyKDesigns You mentioned making sure the water drains away from the house. Does the flower bed edge you showed in the 1st house prevent water from escaping? Or is the soil and mulch sloping down to the edge? Was just wondering if water will be trapped.
@@BobbyKDesignsI think most of us are afraid to plant against the house because we have the impression water will stay close to the house...thinking grass makes water "slide" away...is it wrong?
@@kingbee4474 that’s an interesting point. I would say it’s all about the grading. If you have the soil tapered, so that water runs away from the house and all the downspouts are buried in PVC and running away from the house you should be in good shape. The plants are going to soak up a lot of water, as that’s some thing they need, so I would not be intimidated about landscaping along the house. And the bushes and shrubs a little bit of the house and take into account how big they will get so that they do not block windows. If you do that, you should be in good shape.
I hear ya! We just finished a landscape design and install in Wildwood, Missouri, and a few things that we planted the deer are nibbling on. The frustrating thing is, these are all “deer resistant “plants. Sometimes those deer are more curious than anything, and they just want to get in there and taste things. What part of St. Louis are you in?
