Thank God for your videos! I just started learning last week and the measurements terrify me....along with having to learn to braid long hair for at home set ups! Thank you so much for bein so clear in your explanations
Can i pay you to answer some of my questions ? I was investigating illegally placed inear eeg wireless devices that were nonconsensual these people had no access to the app or ai cant turn off devices or remove them from their ears themselves ? I wanted your take on how they can shut them down or have them removed its like over 4000 people so far
This came at rhe best time lol. Had my first class yesterday and we jumped straight into measuring. I struggled a lot and feel embarrassed bc i havent used math in years
Hey don’t feel bad, it was tough for me at first too! Here’s some other videos I made on measuring if you need more help: how to measure a patient: ua-cam.com/video/t3BcWa43H2w/v-deo.html extra tips after you learn the basics of measuring: ua-cam.com/video/OIhN-i1ZGCI/v-deo.html
@@jaredbeckwithso I'm beginning to get a hang of measuring and placement, but the thing holding me back is the hair part! I just don't understand how to part it neatly and it adds a lot more time 😢
@@b4nkai I can usually just draw through the hair to get to scalp in most cases. I measure on top of the hair, and then “dig” through the hair with the pencil to draw on the scalp. You’ll probably have to use the Q tips to dig through the hair to find your marks on application as well. Congrats on doing better with the math & don’t judge yourself too harshly on measuring speed since you just started.
@@jaredbeckwithits going better! What do you usually do if someone has no prominent inion? I feel nervous guessing sometimes 😅 and I can't seem to grasp total circumference, either im holding the measuring tape too tight or too loose and if someone has rlly thick or long hair are you going over the hair or trying to go under? Sorry for all the questions!!
@@Cxn213 I can teach you how to be an EEG tech if we can get a clinical site at a hospital near you. To get started, email me the contact info of EEG departments at your local hospitals jared@aioneeg.com
Hey Jared thanks so much for these videos they helped a lot I start clinicals next week it’ll be my first time in a hospital setting what can I expect the first two days will I immediately start measuring patients?
The first few days they’ll just have you watch. Maybe second week you’ll start measuring & trying to put on the wires. Good luck with your clinicals and go bucs!
It takes some practice to get used to the measuring tape. I remember dropping the tape a lot, & not wrapping it around the head correctly for the headband part. Just keep practicing my friend!
I’m starting my clinical rotations tomorrow as a sleep tech. Any tips? Idk if they’ll have me watch the first couple of nights or jump straight in and I fumble a lot when I’m nervous 😂
They had me just watch the first day. My first patient took a long time and I fumbled a lot, but it becomes easier with practice. You’re gonna do great!
hey Jared, not sure if you will see this comment. I am an AI&ML student and i am planning to do a project related to EEG. it would be a pleasure if I could connect with you to discuss some stuff related to eeg.

@@jaredbeckwith also you were right, the math isn't hard at all! I needed to brush up on basic math skills and im pretty decent on that area now

Thank you! Very helpful video 😊
Ty!
Thanks Jared!
Thanks
Thank you
Appreciate you watching 😊
Hey Jared what are you wrapping around the mannequin head?
I put tape on the head so I can wash off the marks to practice multiple times.
Thanks Jared I’m going to do the same thing. Thanks buddy
can you do a video of the 10:20 on a Mannequin with long hair, so we can see how to work around it?
@@AudreyWood-e8l great idea, transitioning to real patients with hair is a challenge for sure!

Hey you can email me jared@aioneeg.com I can direct you to some labeled EEG seizure data for your project & answer any questions
i looked up sleep tech and ekg and eeg came up. EEG? Let me check that out
It’s similar to sleep tech putting wires on the head, but we try to detect seizures. It’s pretty interesting stuff!
Its so many people its scary
Hlooo
Thankyou
