As a magic user, equip your staff in the ranged weapon slot on your character. Then, when you need to use the staff, you simply hold Q (I mapped this to a mouse button) and cast with the staff. Let go, and you're back to the weapon on your bar. It's much faster.

Yup. Came to say this. Nothing against the Legacy people, but these simple mistakes are common in their videos. Andin this case, there is a playstyle difference. If you have to account for stamina, it changes things in combat.
Even within short and longbows there are different forms. I had a shortbow with stamina cost, then hunter bows with higher arrow speed but longer draw speed compared to the .6 of other short bows
Recently started a second world for a bow user and noticed this so have been using a longbow through the toolbar while exploring and popping archer heads but for closer fights using a shortie through Q slot
someone on reddit told me to get water aura and I thought it would be a minimal heal over time but hot damn HOT DAMN since I unlocked it I almost never use healing tools and just use food to extend my health bar. Incredible honestly it almost feels like a glitch
As a range player its highly useful to have both a longbow and a shortbow. Longbow is used the most, for long range and when you're not in the fray. Shortbow I have equipped on Q, and is used when in Melee range because of the fast draw speed and it doesn't cost stamina. Many times if you use the long bow in close quarters, its draw speed is too long to get a shot off before the enemy closes the distance, so you need both to make the most out of every situation.
Melee felt like shit at endgame. I went blunt/piercing had every dmg buff on the tree, best str food, lvl 25 legendary weapons fully enhanced and dmg just felt horrible. Meanwhile my mage friend who took 1 of each element wand was killing everything within 5 seconds including bosses. Wands are just too op.
Magic in general is broken, acid will let you 1 shot anything including bosses but melee is still viable and fine I would recommend a "paladin" style of play for sure though just less of a headache. It is also entirely possible that at endgame things will change we still only have access to about a 1/3 of the game
Funny you say that bc me and my friend are 6-8 hours into game and I do close to no damage as a mage while he’s using two handed weapons and obliterating everything
You can do a roll charge/leap into combat as well. Start your roll about double the distance from your intended target, just as you are standing up hit the attack button and you will leap to your target. Playing solo, to get your backstabs, roll foward past your target right before they attack
My current build is wand tank, in the game ATM if you hold block while attacking with a wand it doesn't lower your shield, so you just spam damage and take none in return
Wizard class is busted. Once you get eternal acid bite, you can kill every boss in 3-5 seconds. I'm warrior/wizard path tho, not fully invest skill point in wizard. Probably will patch in future.
It's especially great to change you build depending on your activity your planning ....for ex. I usually respect when I need to hit a farming spot leaning completely into stamina and the begining farming skills like 10% chance for 2
@@virkfulsarchive Bloodletting - 50% chance on magic weapon crit to spawn 2 orbs that replenish 10% of mana/health/stamina. Life Burst - heal 3x your Intellect on magic weapon kill to all players within 15 meters Blood Magic - restore 20% mana at a cost of 1:1 to health if mana drops below 20%

One thing about parry is... It's very difficult and not reliable. Guess I don't have those dark souls reflexes but it's just not viable like it was in Valheim for me. At all.
Archery... arrows take way too much time to craft at the end game. Almost an hour work worth of explosive arrows gone in 30 seconds. Jump attack, nice but I get glitched in mid-air with no option to move roll or escape. But hopefully that'll be fixed.
I would love to see some necro type spells added down the road i know its extremely early and there are way more things that need to be fixed and stuff first but its been a fun game so far

Twigs farm is really boring and collecting those branches with E is slow however I've seen multiple tips and tricks vids and noone has mentioned the 2 for me the easiest/fastest ways: 1 - here and there you can find sth like an animal "burrow", sometimes they look like big ball of branches/twigs (especially in the desert biome). you can use pickaxe onthem and it gives twigs. this isn't the fastest but the easiest and better then picking them up when you run aroud. 2 - in the northern forest part of the game (fly north from the 2nd spire you unlock, forgot the name, theres lot of clay and copper around) ther are many taller twig looking trees usually in larger quantities together. You can't pick them up with E but if you use axe on them they drop 3-4 pieces of 2 twigs. This is I think the fastest way but you have to move around a bit, not like in the first tip when you just stand in the middle and move your mouse around :) BONUS TIP 3 - this was mentioned by some guides but i find it boring and am not sure if it is faster then the other 2 but you can just grow them by your base. Use the farming table to produce seedlings, i think 1 fiber gives 5, then plant them, wait a bit and collect. effective but needs even more mindless clicking :) I do hope that the devs decide to reduce the cost to at least 10 twigs / 50 arrows though or at least give an option to split wood piece into let's say 2 twigs at the carpenters sawmill.
Sheild and 2 wand types(ice and fire). and you can defeat any enemy in game..How? Hold shield Up in block postion, and just back up shooting with wand...only vulnerable to area magic damge but no other damage even against boss attacks.
Pro grinder tip... Save xp scrolls to give to second character....that way instead of respect character you can load in a new melee stamina or wizard character
I need these guys to balance the fighting for Bow playstyles. Melee and Magic seem to have skills that let you become pretty OP by comparison. Meanwhile I am mid-high level in bows and I am still losing stamina way too fast due to dodging and then getting laid out too easily. I realize people may say, hey just use a shield when enemies get too close. And yes this technically does work... to a degree. But this inherently feels like I am balancing two classes while the other classes can spec into a single thing.
I agree parry timings are jank. Some attacks had to be like 1 frame beforehand meanwhile others get parried when the enemy has their sword still behind them, just starting to swing.
take away that useslees dodge roll and invest in to blink its 4 point if you are going mage or even melee its more instant way of dodging and there is a skill that give you an aggressive verion of it exploding on impact with enemies
The game itself and the idea of it is fantastic. But I’m so glad that it’s in Early access, because there is so much that needs to be added and improved. 2 things I can think of is enemy diversity like having more enemies to fight. And they really need to polish the combat as it just feels very generic :(
From what I'm seeing, the combat is very 1 note with not much variation in animations or combos. I hope they will continue to work the visuals of the combat before full release. Sword just has a 1, 2, 3 hit and repeate, same for wand, bows just fire with no volley attacks or rapid fire, stafs are charge ups and that's it. Just frome what I've been seeing so far
Radiant Aura only damages FELL creatures--meaning just the creatures corrupted by the Shroud. Uncorrupted animals and the fuzzy tribal dudes are not affected.
You basically always have your shield equipped and depending on the weapon you use it will either be out and available or won't if you are using a 2 handed weapon like the bow.
... There is def more than one type of Bow, unsure why you said there wasn't. Most notably is the fast draw and slow draw bows, which have very different stats in all areas (damage, stamina use, velocity, draw speed) For someone who claims to have played a lot of Enshrouded, there's a lot of info in this video that is just plain wrong...
