In my *_OPINION_*, art block is just when when you try to draw, it just looks like trash, more trash than usual. What you have is procrastination. (Yes, i did see the art block video by lavender, i just still have different opinions.)

Don't Forget Me Yeah, that’s not art block. That’s procrastination. Block is a lack of ideas, or a lack of ideas that you feel are worth spending time on. You clearly have ideas. If you don’t want to _end up with_ art block, art every day.

adorecutebunny1 1 It is good to organize, but I’d recommend something besides a website builder. Something like the GoodNotes app would work a lot better for this purpose. In the end, you wouldn’t want 90% of what you just needed to organize on your final website anyway.

Is it weird that I have no actual projects? Tbh I’m not interested in storytelling and more on character designing lmao
I'm working on making a fictional world, but there isn't a story being told, lol
I'm just writing whatever I think of but maybe that's the matter of that I don't really have the patience to polish my drawings
I feel you can make really dynamic characters if you know about the world around them. As I create characters I always think of the world around them since what they wear, act like, and think like really attribute to their appearance and design.
For example if they live in the runes of a dystopian society you can make them serious and strong, but also based on past life experiences, kind hearted. Give them a strong expression amd maybe tattoos that symbolize what side they decided to take ,,, things like that.
Not everybody likes stories, there's a difference between a comic creator, and just a general artist.
I Love storytelling and coming up with characters but I'm not the best at drawing or animating,

This is all AWESOME advice! Starting a project can seem so daunting! Personally, another super helpful thing I found to help with editing is a this digital book called 'The Story Grid' Shawn Coyne was incredibly helpful for mapping out the writing for the story. He's been a pro editor for decades and made the book to help writers plan. Highly recommend!

@Anna Lialine Hahaha, no I just REAAALLY liked the Story Grid. was super helful for me when I was writing a couple books a few years ago so I always recommend it to people who are working on any fiction project :P

I had tried to start a comic twice and just couldn't finish it after a few pages. I needed this.
I got the like "inciting incident" done with my comic (like literally 1.5 pages) and gave up and turned it into a fire short story instead which I enjoyed doing more and finished. Try that!

It is possible to make really easily sorted folders in text programs, I personally use google docs for things like this! Here are a few pointers for anyone who may need them:
- Folders are your best friend. Use one for the project in general. Use one inside of that for all the original things or things that need to change. Sort them however you see fit and works for you, but remember. USE FOLDERS. They help so much with being organized.
- I personally have a different document for different things. For example: A document for all the characters, one for the concept art or backgrounds, one for the main plot points, one for different aspects you want to incorporate but aren't sure where, etc.
- Photos and text don't have to be right next to each other. Very rarely do I have docs with both walls of text AND a bunch of photos. I usually have a doc with a bunch of photos and little text, and vice versa.
- They don't have to make sense to an outsider. As long as YOU can make sense of it, then all is fine. Cross reference docs, don't use full sentences, it's information and notes, not an essay paper.
- If you use google docs specifically, remember: word documents aren't the only option! You can use slides, spreadsheets, drawings, etc. I use this stuff for video games, and I use spreadsheets for things like stats, items, weapons, literally everything. You don't have to draw in the drawing app, but import other drawings and connect them(Like making notes on a characters appearance), or you can draw in it and make a *very* rough outline for something(like layouts of areas)

This is probably the only video I have ever seen that has made me actually want to use Wix. I have a bajillion story ideas (Movies, TV shows, Comics, Mangas, Animes, short stories, novels, book series, etc.) but I can never focus on JUST ONE. So I've decided to try to focus on a comic and a novel (need to pick which one) to work on.

perfect timing! I've been working on starting my very first big project and this was just the kind of boost i needed :D
I waited a couple of years for the ideas and plot to meld in my mind for a few years, as well as for my art to become “good” (middle school me was not as good at drawing as she thought she was lol) and now it just kinds flows out of my pencil when I sit down to draw. I’m now beginning the rough drafts of my comic :)

My problem is that the characters I always think of different stories for my characters. Like one day she’s a dinosaur! One day she’s a queen?!
I used to have the same problem lol (sometimes still do).
What I started doing was actually creating a concrete world for my characters to exist in, so I wouldn't be able to just chuck them into whatever random roles popped into my head. Now to actually start the project?!?!?

The weird thing is that I focus more on my Series’ so much more than school, that AP makes no sense at all, and I memorised the entire storyline of my Series’ (that’s plural Series btw) and the characters and plots. *i nee help*

I started compiling a list of all the ideas I have for my story almost immediately after watching your video, and you were so right! I already have eight pages of information, and that's not even most of it! Writing it all down has also generated lots of new ideas and has gotten me excited to keep writing. Thank you for this video, it was super helpful!
If you have apple you can go to notes and press the picture button in there and there will be a button that says scan document it works well
