Agreed but I'm happy at the same time. I bought my grand tour model about a year ago for 2.5k (US) with 118,000 miles in good condition. I was just offered 7-8k from a car dealer the other day.
Almost everything is shooting up to some degree. Corona gave us low interest rates, now we have low used inventory nationwide as well, inflation is full fledge, and we have a massive market bubble… plus more. 350z is getting all of that, and it’s next in line for appreciation, along with the e46 M3 manual. Artificial economic stimulation is going to wreck us.
Worth noting that Nissan changed the test method they used to certify engine power between the "RevUp" and "HR" generations. The power and torque differences are actually much larger than they appear on paper as the new test is more demanding. If they were tested using the same standard the HR would be closer to 30 BHP stronger, rather than the 10 BHP on paper.
Bought a 350z about 6 weeks ago to use as a track car. Feels great to be able to watch your videos as they are released I've been watching the back catalogue on repeat. Great channel thanks 👍
Who gave this guy a 👎 he's passionate about his Nissan and by the the amount of work he's done dedicated to it as well. Nice few tips for anyone considering purchasing one of these.
Just one thing you forgot to mention. The GT pack with the Brembo Brake upgrade which is an awesome option to look out for 👍🏼. I bought my 350z GT back last December and was my best decision. So many smiles.
In Australia I believe we only had two choices: Touring or Track. The Track included Brembos and rear spoiler. Probably the GT Pack as well. I was lucky enough to find one with the Rays Engineering wheels. ❤️🚙
wow, what an underrated and informative video, I have a budget of 20k CAD, and I want to purchase my dream 350z this summer! never even thought about rust! will have a pop-in at the forums as well. cheers
Thanks for the video so much information i got from it just added a victor racing active wing for racing my z350 and got to say the performance is top 👌.
Great video, Also having owned two350z coupes (had Silver Track edition in 2003, and purchased a mint condition 2005 Ultra yellow Anniversary in 2018 as weekend toy) I have had hatch issue, and clutch issue, no rust at all here in dry Australia. Neat 350z’s are becoming hard to find, so good ones command serious money here now. Cheers from Brisbane
I bought my 350z last December watching your videos at the same time! Found a pretty mint model with a tiny bit of surface rust inside the arch where you mentioned.
I feel so sorry for you guys with the rust issues. We hardly see anything as bad as the underside of your Z. 🇦🇺 Definitely have the strut and pop up spring issues. 🤣 I’ve never heard of the clutch master cylinder issue. I got some B17 Daytona Blue made up in a rattle can and was surprised to learn it was a Renault colour. Till I remembered that Renault bought Nissan in 1999. Don’t forget to check the control arm bushings!
I had the clutch issue. But it wasn't a pedal to t he floor but a thing of the pressure needed to push in the clutch pedal getting increasingly heavy to the point you felt like you were using a leg press machine in the gym. It was an issue with the slave cylinder. But I had both replaced. This was at around 100K miles when I also had the clutch replaced as well.
Had my 350z with a V1 full nismo bodykit for 2 years now, absolutely love it. Slave cylinder failed 2 months ago but like you said it's a fairly simple job - hardest part is bleeding it correctly!! Unfortunately both front wings have bad rust bubbles and the front bumper has split. I have 2 new wings to paint and fit, i also bought a 370z nismo replica front bumper from TarmacSportz to paint and fit! I wish that was it however....i have a serious abs issue ever since i replaced the speed sensors. Car was fine for a month then suddenly ABS would kick in everytime i braked at low speed. Had to do the "pin 101 mod" to fully disable abs and traction to actually drive it. I've tried sorting out the abs myself but i'm getting nowhere, scared to take it to a garage and spend a fortune with them replacing part by part
Hello mate. I’d love to hear your thoughts on the 350Z vs E92 M3. Appreciate they’re in different leagues in terms of cost / performance - But you obviously rate the 350 despite experiencing M3 ownership?
Went up in unrealistic price ranges, specially how badly treated the ones I had seen were and the price , i gave up got and got an Rsx type S, not as flashy or fast but still fun and full of potential.
Awesome super interesting information and well advise thanks 🙏 .. were can I buy a clutch slave cylinder and pipe thanks regards Ron uk 🇬🇧 Hornsea East Yorkshire 👍👍👍👍
Yes you’re correct. I’ve made a mistake on that one. I was reading from the Nissan Service manual and it’s generic for all 9000 mile interval servicing cars. I’ll fix the video.
I found a 2004 350z for sale and it was written off due to being rear end A guy bought it fixed it up and passes all inspections He drove it for a year and has been trying to sell it through a dealer I think it first was put put up for sale in the spring of 2022 in hopes to sell it in summer as it is a rag top So it didnt sell and i called and said if it was still for sale in spring of 2023 I would go and look at it which is 70 miles from my home any thoughts if this is worth it ? Resale of these vehicles drops I know that it has 107 km on it about 60 000 miles
Hi do you know anything about the alarm on the 350z mine has stop working by key fob but works with key in door and I have put new battery in both key fobs
I recently bought a 2008 coupe with 38k miles to use for autox. The only issue/ annoyance is that the transmission whines in gears 1-4 and sometimes gear changes are notchy. Will be replacing fluid asap, but I'm also thinking the throwout bearing may be on its way out. Anyone have these things go away after a new clutch kit and TOB?
I have a 2012 Nissan Sentra S with over 225,000 miles on it. Never had an issue with the original CVT. I changed the fluid every 60,000 miles as required in the owner’s manual. Nissan is capable to be reliable as Toyota and Honda. You haters should learn how to read a manual and drive a car properly and you won’t have any problems long term.
You can change fluid etc and look after a car, but you can't escape wear and tear. It's extremely ignorant to claim a car won't get any problems eventually even if it has been very well looked after
Can’t believe how much these have been going up recently, I have been saving towards one but looks to be getting out of my price range.

Yhea man i really hope they dont go up anymore bc i want to buy one in 4 years when im 14
What's the price range in UK?
@@ThunderTigerRider about a year ago was looking at ones for 6k with miles around 50-70k now they are like 10k plus.
Great video. I'm looking to purchase one of about the same year soon. This video should have NO Thumbs down 👍💯
Big thanks!

I have a 2006 350z automatic 55,000 miles . Changed the struts on the hatch . Zero rust , I don’t drive it in winter .
Potentially buying a 350z today. Naughty manual 3.5 v6. Too excited

Great to have the videos back although I still miss the M3!
And as always, thanks for sharing :) Good video's and good information. Greetz from Holland!

I found an 03 14,000 low miles garage kept under a cover that still had new car smell lol
Thanks this helped, in market now
Looking for very low miles convertible
I like how you name the companies where you buy your kit from, appreciate it.

I had the same ABS issue after I put the suspension back together. I’f the wheel alignment is too far off it confuses the computer.
What's about fuel consumption ?
Hello mate. I’d love to hear your thoughts on the 350Z vs E92 M3. Appreciate they’re in different leagues in terms of cost / performance - But you obviously rate the 350 despite experiencing M3 ownership?
M3 is hundred times better
Honestly if you want a e90 for cheap buy a 330i and youlll be pulling around 258hp with a nice n/a inline 6

Surely you could clean and repaint those rusted parts rather than replace; assuming its just surface corrosion
Approx cost to turbo one?
A lot. £8k is my guess.
Is there a chance you can do a video on detailing the engine bay?
I did one for the Boxster if that helps?
Dang I should’ve bought one when I had the chance… prices for these old cars is getting ridiculous.
I didn't think there was a fuel filter? Isn't it some sort of filter that's built into the tank?
Yes you’re correct. I’ve made a mistake on that one. I was reading from the Nissan Service manual and it’s generic for all 9000 mile interval servicing cars. I’ll fix the video.
Rust is a big issue with these cars. Nothing like to 280 rust problem, but a problem non the less.

Hello, I want to ask you about bmw m3 and 350z. Which is more reliable, cheaper to maintenance and better on fuel?
350Z is more reliable and cheaper to maintain and run. M3 didnt have any rust though.....
Bro you are crazy for 9k mile oil changes

Change the fork too with something billet
Didn't know cars could wear boots😅
Basically a cheaply built car
So easily can tell just by quality of materials inside the car
Cheap car
Thanks to Renault
