If you want to know how those armor thing works, in the game (oh yeah fun fact, Inazuma Eleven is actually a JRPG franchise that got adapted into anime) you can transform your Keshin/Avatar into Armed form to gain few perks. In regular Keshin you don't have time limit to upkeep the Keshin but you have limited "MP" to use its move and it only have one move, but if you transforms it into Armed you will get access to a lot of moves that you already learned and you have unlimited "MP", but in exchange you will have time limit on your Keshin

That spirit thing was a fitting spirit which you can get when you get a really strong your personality becomes a spirit after you get strong enough you can wear it or armourfy it
Inazuma Eleven GO goes absolutely hard for no reason on the story. The first season they are dealing with corruption in soccer, the second season they are dealing with time travelers trying to completely rid the world of soccer and actually travel back and forth in time, the third season they literally have an intergalactic soccer tournament against other planets, with actual aliens this time.

To fight them, they have to create the greatest team ever, that's why they are travelling through time to Mixi-Max (Fusion) with grand people in history (11 to make a soccer team) ! If you decide to watch it, you'll know the meaning of chrono stone, mixi-max and more as they are important part of the series (I don't wanna spoil)

I found the kenshins and mix max stuff cool when I was young, but watching it now, it’s so repetitive. Honestly the OG series really was the best, each match was so hyper and exciting to watch, and the passion was over the roof. I guess this was what the Go series lacked. The Go series fucked up as soon as they introduced brand new characters and kenshins. The reboot was even worse, it really was horrible which is so disappointing tbh
All those transformations take the pace out of the game. The first season actually had some tactics and combo shoots that would win a game. Not like go where it's like, "hey let's see who can get the most buffs and transformations as possible".
@@bramt2000 yeah exactly, Go turned into mortal kombat with kenshins, there is barely any tactics and it’s just characters fighting, whereas in the OG series, the matches were actually strategic and plus each match was intense. OG also had better characters, better plot and much better OSTs which was one of the main reasons why matches in the OG series were so much more exciting to watch

Also that guy with the glasses on his chin (forgot his name because he is kinda forgettable) having great wall of china and Atlantis wall just to be a kabeyama big defender. Most characters I didn't care for because they didn't have a proper introduction or character arc. just like kageyama hikaru. He just went up and was like "hey I'm the little nephew or something from kageyama reiji, yeah that massive bad guy. Anyways I'm joining your team haha" like wtf is that introduction.

Another thing, in the OG series, there was actually some good character development. We actually got to see each characters dealing with their own problems and then becoming better people. In Go, we see them unlocking kenshins, cool, they can now fight, that’s it lol
