We can choose that when we point mouse on an item, we select an item and then single mouse click will open an item (folder, file or program). Or single click select item and double click will open it.
To set that mouse option open File Explorer, go to change folder and search option and in Click items as follows you can choose single or double-click.

double click will only let me change the name of the file on the double click. one click, and a dialog opens for the right button to open it. Now setting for single click, seems to work better. If i simply touch the file, and then the next file and shift, it selects both files. then right click, cut and paste into another folder.
